Good morning:) How's everyone's week been? We had an amazing time in Ibiza together celebrating our anniversary. Only a couple of days but I can't tell you how lovely it was so feel that sun on my face again:) So today ,as the title suggests I had a wee shopping spree and am sooooo excited to share some beautiful new pieces with you all! I think the green sweater has plenty of slouch, as a large or X-Large you would swim in that size in my opinion. It was good to see you have color as an retired art teacher I have much more color, and actually watch for ideas to tone down my wardrobe 😂

I think you should keep the linen jumper. It is perfectly slouchy without looking sloppy or ill fitting! It’s perfect!

I also purchased the sézane lace blouse recently- what a beautiful blouse, it looks lovely on you too. In my opinion the green linnen jumper looked so lovely on you - it definitely gave off your signature slouchy vibe even if the neckline wasn’t sitting quite low enough for you preference. Definitely not prim🤪. Keep up the great work - love all your videos from down here in AUS.

I prefer my own Knits petite knitting patterns using pure silk/cotton/linen/ cashmere etc that way I get custom fitted and colour and yarns I love 💕

Hey Jess, ha ha so glad I'm not the only one that has trouble with bangles, I've stopped wearing them as ones I've had have been sooo painful to take off 😬, perhaps I should take up boxing to make use of those knuckles😂. I think the linen jumper looked fine. Hope you have a good week hun x

I love linen sweaters, too. Cotton ones often overheat me in my hot climate, but the open-work, mesh-type, styles that are on trend work well. I just got a white one with a collar and V-neck that I love (Talbots/Haven). I also love my new cotton/viscose blend sweaters from Banana Republic (in three colors!), the viscose makes them cooler, lighter and more breathable. I also got a beautiful white-trimmed beige short cardigan in cotton/linen from the White Company. (I have been replacing a lot of my basic clothes because I’ve gone from a size XL to a S/M in the last decade or so, my clothes were looking quite ridiculously huge on me. I’m first replacing high-quality basics for each season, properly sized, before adding any trendy or statement pieces).

Looking very bright and summery! Loving the color for ,2023. My fav items are the first white lacey shirt with the high collar! Wow!!! So simple and yet it works so well. I also really liked the white puffed sleeve v neck shirt with dark Jeans. The silky slip dress is a keeper .. so many options for it! Thx for the share! I’m a long time follower of yours from Hungary and although I love at least 99% of your outfits, lots of the brands are not available here in Budapest. Massimo Dutti and COS are the only better quality high street brand available here, so I always love to see you including them. (Though you converted me into a frequent Polene and Sézane online shopper, special thanks from my husband 😂).
Haha please apologise to your Husband for me! But he might thank us for the recommendation in years to come when you still love those pieces as much as you do today;) I didn't realise it's hard to get all the same high street brands over there, I love both Massimo Dutti and Cos though so I'll try and feature them more:) Out of interest what other high street brands can you get over there that you like? x

About the bangles. Easy tip to put tight bangles on at taking them off. Use a silk scarf. Put it over your hand to put on the bangle without the friction. When its on you just remove the scarf again. To take of the bangle, put the scarf on the hand again and pull the ends through the bangle so it separate the bangle from the skin. Once the scarf is on the bangle can be removed.

I think if I'm going to wear a strappy sandal its not going to be black or brown, but something closer to my skin tone so that it's almost invisible.

Loved the haul! The Massimo Dutti tomato red dress was my favourite (I actually have it in my basket now), followed closely by the gold Jenni Kayne dress. I think that the olive/khaki v-neck jumper looked lovely on you and the size looked good. But, I guess if you were looking for the off-the-shoulder look, then follow your heart.
Absolutely love the all blue outfit, sweater, jeans, sneakers! And that "tomato-coloured" dress! The neckline (and colour) is perfect for you!

The tomato shade dress is beautiful too isn't it, do you think I should size up in that one? Not sure in hindsight if it's looking a little too snug on my hips? x
@@FashionStyleEdit Hmmm, now that you mention it... maybe (even a feeling of a bit of tightness is always a bit annoying, depending on the stretch or lack thereof). How much side seam is there? Could you take it out say 1-1.5 cm on each side? (even a little can make a big difference) The top part has a nice drape (I think), so if you sized up, you might need to nip it in a bit on each side (potentially a bit harder to do, but not really a consideration if you have a good seamstress). I'd maybe ask your seamstress what she thought... Might be worth the ask?

My hair is similar... fairly curly but it submits to blow drying to straighten it. I shall try to get mine a bit closer to the look of yours... blending my choppy bits at the side : )

Thanks for the video Jess. A lot of really nice outfits here. It's a shame about the Massimo Dutti linen sweater - I agree that the v neck isn't quite deep enough. Jigsaw often have nice linen sweaters and t shirts - I had a great one a few years ago which had two layers of contrasting colours so wasn't see through - I eventually wore it out as I wore it so much!
I have a gold bangle my mother gave me, and I can only wear it on my left wrist, because it’s too tight a squeeze over my right hand. Maybe try your other hand - it might be smaller ☺️

What a beautiful haul! I loved everything and especially the blue print skirt and dress. I've been coveting Jenni Kayne for years but have never bought anything since they are a little too pricey for me. I would use your discount code but I have promised myself to be good. I'm moving from a three bedroom home to a small one bedroom so I'm downsizing my wardrobe significantly. I removed 100 clothing items yesterday to consign and donate and I'm embarrassed to say that I still have a ridiculous amount of clothing. I tried on every single thing in my closet and I definitely had many Suzane appreciation moments. All of their pieces look amazing! As always thank you Jess and Happy Anniversary!!

HI! I also have HUGE hands (good for piano, not so much bangles). And I remember when I was young, I could never buy bangles because there was no way they were going over my hands. SO, I eventually did find a way to gently squeeze together my hand to pop over a bangle, BUT I can't seem to explain it!!! I would have to take a picture. I'll send you three pic as a DM on Instagram. Maybe it will work for you!

I know exactly what you mean about that Massimo Dutti linen jumper. I love V-neck linen jumpers too and was hopeful about that one. I was hoping it would be wider and more slouchy, with a wider/lower V-neck, but it is terribly boring. The blue is also a very dull blue and they should have done it in dark navy. Thoroughly disappointing. I even tried the XL but it still didn’t do the trick! 👎
Jigsaw might be worth a look, they used to always do beautiful linen jumpers in Summer. I shall let you know if I find any good alternatives x
