I agree with the comment made by Helen; that some of the clothes as worn by the professional models were unrecognisable as the same garments, and I wouldn't have looked twice at them! You "wear" the clothes rather than just "put them on" which is so helpful, especially for someone like me who struggles to see things I like on a hanger or from a picture.
Amazing 🤩 thank you very much, makes shopping that much easier when you have a visual image of a real person wearing and putting the items together 🙏🏻 looking forward to the second part 🧡🥰
I have never gone wrong following your advice in building a wardrobe of neutral, good quality pieces that work well with each other, even to overlapping seasons. I lost a considerable amount of weight and consider this my opportunity to build a versatile capsule wardrobe from the ground up, so thank you and well done on reaching 200K subscribers!
Excellent video Melissa :-). Tremendously brilliant looking summer outfitted clothes and all the rest of it :-). Its always a real pleasure seeing your weekly Sunday videos I must say :-). Also a very big hefty congratulations almost certainly for specifically your 200k subscriber milestones recently :-). Well done indeed for your 200k subscriber milestones indeed Melissa :-). Its certainly indeed something to celebrate and really a very big congratulations and a big well done for your 200k subscriber milestone :-). Many happy returns Melissa lovely :-). From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK xoxox :-D :-D :-).
Woo-hoo! 200K! 🎈🎉 I hope its not inappropriate to suggest the Melissa Murrell drinking game...you say "really nice" and we take a sip of whatever we find lovely...coffee, tea, lemonade. 😂 Honestly, probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. I love the self-effacement. And thanks, as always, for your impeccable fashion advice. Congratulations to you and all your wonderful team!
Some really nice outfits, I thought the jumpsuits were really nice. As usual you looked lovely and modelled everything so nicely for us. In short it was all really nice😂 200k subscribers congratulations 🎉
Superb video again Melissa! Hello again from Toronto ! Very good tips especially on the looseness of the cardigan and the proper length of the ankle grazing pants… (totally see myself in those visuals). congratulations on 200 K subscribers… Getting quickly to 500 k quickly I’m sure.
Well done on 200K subscribers. I loved nearly all the outfits except the darker dresses. Now that you have shown the way with neutrals I hate buying anything dark I'm converted! Although some of the items were pricey I'm happy to shop around to find similar at a cheaper price although I might invest in a Me and Em white dress, so beautiful.
It depends what you’re wearing on your bottom half. If you go to our website all the contact details and services are on there and I’m sure we’ll be able to help x
Hi Melissa Happy Mother's Day. First of all 200, 000 subscribers ...u should be so proud of yourself. You sooo deserve that.. Congratulations!!! You found so many beautiful things. I am not sure I could even pick favorites, but I did love the jumpsuits and the dresses.. I was gifted a cropped neutral color jumpsuit and I think I am going to try it. I wonder if the cropped is gone now. I don't usually like anything cropped, but I think with a little heel it won't be frumpy. I love dresses for summer..one and done. I get so tired of seeing tall skinny models who look like they are going to faint from hunger. I think most of your subscribers have told you that you are a way better model. You are gorgeous and all the clothes fit you so beautifully. Melissa do you have to be fairly small for the built in bra tops? I am a d so not sure they would work to hold the girls up..lol . I can barely wait for part 2. Thank you so much. 💓
Thank you. No, the bra tops go up to a rather generous size. However, you’ll find similar tops in Marks and Spencer’s and they’re sizes by bra size so that might be good for yourself. X
Love you and your work Melissa. Looking beautiful in your MV Alta necklace. Mine's coming next week and I can't wait! You also recommended me a similarly midi denim cream skirt from Phase Eight that I picked up today. Love it! Much love xxx
I’d love some longer shirt ideas to cover my bottom. Nothing exactly wrong with it but I’ve lost shape with age and prefer to skim over it. I have a few but would love more because I wear them a lot. A summer alternative to a long cardigan and being petite I think they are flattering.
We have some shirts coming up in Part 2 if that helps! Generally speaking I'd look in the swimwear cover up section in stores as they often make those shirts longer and they're in lighter weight fabrics.
Hi Melissa, can you explain again where the length of the pants need to fall when you want them to just graze the ankles? In one of the videos you explained it with wearing trainers. I can't seem to find it
Brilliant video again. Just 2 points, I think uniqlo is a very young brand and ME+EM a very expensive brand. So, for every day work horse clothing where to? Smart/casual?? Also I am fed up with the French tuck lol in the 80s we tucked everything into our jeans or trousers 😂 how can we create an hour glass without a tuck on an apple shape?
The hourglass on an apple is created by broadening the shoulders and adding volume to the hips so choosing items of clothing that do BOTH of those things together will make your waist look smaller. Most of my videos include items from H&M…Next is a good everyday shop and shops internationally x
That was a gorgeous selection again, Thank you. If anyone finds a more budget-friendly version of the blue and white paisley dress, would you be willing to post it in the comments please? 😍
Happy Mother’s Day, Melissa! Another great video! I’m curious, as to the navy dress with the ruffles sleeves. I am self conscious of my arms and feel that style or cap sleeves, makes my arms look chubby. Is that accurate? Thanks again!
It depends where the ruffles are sitting. You want them either on top of your shoulder blades or much further down the arm BUT you can’t just look at the arms, you have to look at what’s going on in the whole dress. If you’ve got a big bust for example, you’d need the ruffles PLUS the open neck, ruffles and a high neck will make you look broader. NEVER focus on one part, look from head to toe and make sure all elements are balanced. X
New sub from Canada joining you! I’m binge watching right now and am so impressed with your styling of real women and your shopping tutorials! I probably won’t be able to find many of the clothes you feature here in Manitoba, but the lesson takeaways are invaluable! 👏🇨🇦
Thank you Peggy-Ann and welcome! Most of the shops we show are international based shops so if you follow the US links then change your country to Canada you’ll hopefully find the majority of things x
I have to stay all the clothes look so much better on you than the models - some I barely even recognise on the models! I h ope the stores give you lots of freebies because you direct so much business their way.😊
We do a monthly Amazon video which is very budget focused and most of my videos will contain items from M&S, H&M, Uniqlo etc., but just as many people ask for higher priced items too so I try and combine a bit from all different price points x
Hi Melissa. I love your videos so much - but I find the tinniness sound of the videos really difficult to listen to. I believe a microphone you can attach would help with this and improve the tinny noise (i remember seeing it on another vlog I watch) x

If you’re in the uk then I get them from primark but only in store so I can’t link them. There’s plenty of Amazon though, just type in translucent hair bands.
Love love the clothes but they are extremely expensive - wish there were much less priced dresses that are similar/ I mean 250- 500 dollars per dress is insanely expensive for most of us “ordinary women”!!
You are right, those dresses at the start are incredibly expensive but there are different price points throughout the video. Every month we’re now doing an Amazon video which is budget friendly and 90% of my videos are from H&M and other high street equivalent but my audience is wide and varied and as such they want to see all price points.
I heard on another stying video, (not as good as yours), that short cardigans are old fashioned and will date you? Longer ones were ok. Your cardigan looked fine. What do you think? Another video in the week? Whoohoo😂
Longer cardigans are classic and do a great job of lengthening the frame. A shorter cardigan if paired with the wrong thing can look dated which is why wearing it with the right combination is very important. You always need to think about the outfits as a whole and not just one individual piece - that’s most people’s biggest mistake! I hope that helps x
