  • I have heard this lie for years. I lost count of how many times people have written in the comments of my videos, how the Geneva Bible is SUPERIOR to the King James Bible. Most of these people are not aware that they have been deceived by a clever advertising agenda. In this video I will be showing proof that the Geneva Bible does in fact contain some very serious errors, which were corrected by the translators of the Authorized Version.

Zechariah 9:9 in geneva says "saved himself" meaning He hiimself saved us. The notes for which geneva is famous clearly explain this and other verses like Goliaths brother, etc. The other alleged errors in geneva are merely and obviously distinctions without a difference. Job says exact punishment in kjv, geneva says forgotten by God. Same thing, being forgotten by God is exacting punishment.

Excellent video. I'd also like to add the most popular reason why so many people today have become anti-King James and pro-Geneva: *_Ephesians 6:12,_* which reads in the Geneva Bible as:
Ephesians 6:12 (GB) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, *_and against the worldly gouernours,_* the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places.
These pro-Geneva/anti-King James guys reject the King James Bible because Ephesians 6:12 in the KJV does not say "against the worldly gouernours". They accuse King James of having removed those words from the Bible because he [supposedly] was a tyrant who didn't want his subjects to question his authority. But these fools don't even realize that the verse literally contradicts itself. Take another look:
Ephesians 6:12 (GB) *_For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,_* but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places.
The "worldly gouernours" ARE "flesh and blood". The verse clearly contradicts itself in the Geneva Bible.
And touching on the claim that America was founded on the Geneva Bible and not the King James Bible, that is a claim made by people who are very ignorant of American history. The Congress of the Confederation in 1782 gave Robert Aitken's printing of the KING JAMES BIBLE the Congressional Approval AND officially recommended it to the inhabitants of the United States. The approval was printed in the front of Aitken's KJV, which you can read here for yourself:
    _"Philadelphia, September 10th, 1782._
_Honble James Duane, Eſq. Chairman, and the other Honble Gentlemen of the Committee of Congreſs on Mr. Aitken's Memorial._
    _Whereupon,_
    _RESOLVED,_
*_THAT the United States in Congreſs aſſembled highly approve the pious and laudable undertaking of Mr. Aitken,_* _as ſubſervient to the intereſt of religion, as well as an inſtance of the progreſs of arts in this country, and being ſatiſfied from the above report of his care and accuracy in the execution of the work,_ *_they recommend this edition of the Bible to the inhabitants of the United States,_* _and hereby authoriſe him to publiſh this Recommendation in the manner he ſhall think proper._
    _CHA. THOMSON, Sec'ry."_
And on top of that, George Washington, our first president, was sworn into office on a KING JAMES BIBLE.

The KJV isn’t perfect, it’s the best we have but it certainly isn’t perfect. There’s no such thing as a perfect translation…ask any professional translator fluent in both languages. Close to perfect would be a transliteration. Perfect is the language in which it was written. This goes for any book, not the Bible specifically.
Check Genesis 6;4 in the original Hebrew and the KJV English.
The word I’m talking about isn’t “Giants”, but “Nephilim” from “Naphal”; the ‘perfect’ translation would be “Fallen Ones”, i.e., the offspring of Fallen Angels and human women.
This is merely one example of an imperfect translation of a single word.
Those who mistakenly believe angels cannot take human form must refer to Hebrews 13;2
“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels”
Genesis 6:4 is always brushed aside with false ideology to mean something contrary to that which is stated clearly.
Don’t let anyone take away the “supernatural” elements of the Bible as the whole thing is “supernatural”. Existence itself is Biblical.
Side Note: See Gary Wayne Genesis 6 for more info on Gen6. It is a great read. (2 volumes)

Not many will take my words serious but the NKJV has "for now" become much superior to the KJV due to the supernatural changes. Laugh all you want. Bible prophesied this. If you think thats nonsense and cannot see it, then you never knew the Bible as you think you do. Look at Matthew 9:17 and compare. Not wineskins anymore which makes the parable void of all meaning. Countless more "supernatural" changes. Jesus now says "slay them before me" and much more. An entire sea of residue evidence exists that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is a supernatural thing going on to change words. KJV now says "take up your couch" when it used to say bed (as in sleeping matt). Most of you dont even know the bible as you think you do, not even capable to see the changes in the first place.

There's also an issue with the widespread notion that Wycliffe translated from Jerome on the word of John Purvey, Wycliffe's post-mortem editor who proved to be an Augustinian& Romanist sympathizer. And with the alchemists. Newton was an occultist who promoted his god of forces under the pretense of being 'baptist' (certainly not the sort of baptist John Smyth was who chose to take the whipping& stocks rather than to enter& worship in a 'steeple house' during the 1600's); & it's difficult to fathom how lying 007 John Dees & Mr. Green were any different from the older Augustinian & Hermetic alchemists. My contention is that there is no difference. Both are false nicolaitan and craft. I believe the underlying Augustinian & TULIP / master level nicolaitan MK sorcerer error was what led to Ian Paisley's capitulation, as well as to the 'baptist' Charles Haddon Hidden Hand Spurgeon w/ his Metropolitan Tabernacle built in the neo-pagan Sir Christopher Wren model. And contend that Bullingerism is what drives the pseudo King James Bible users of the IFB, & sadly, most independent baptists of today.

God uses a Bible ? I read both Bibles and don't have a preference. How exactly is it that a Bible is named after a earthly king? I agree the KJV is a good Bible but I disagree with the Geneva being faulty. I know which Bible changed the world more for the better and I know the KJV has been in effect for the last century uncontested. The Bibles are a record of God's word they are not God's word. Worshiping a Bible would be no different than worshiping the Talmud. The Bible is not God nor did the record of God create ; God's word real and living made everything. This worship of books smacks of Sadducee type behavior. Say what you want but ,the Romanists generally declare the "Calvinist" a vile heretic yet they rarely have anything negative to say about the Episcopalian. I don't even see churches titled "the church of Calvin"; Maybe if the great scholars hate the "Calvinists" they were doing something right. Groups of scholars certainly have the world in state now maybe they always have. Usually impressed with this narrators insights but am sadly disappointed by this narration. Very worldly and way less than meaningful. Somehow suggesting that the catholic preachers were responsible for the Bible being printed in the common language of the peoples in the different areas.

All I can say is, go through both side by side, and look at the differences, and see for yourself what makes more sense, and what is more clear. If you think it’s the KJV, then by all means continue using the KJV. I came to the conclusion that the Matthew Bible seemed better.

Not many people know about the first Bible printed and published n 1531 Zurich 🇨🇭 Switzerland. Christoph Froschauer was a printer in Zurich who Huldrych Zwingili paid to print and publish the Zurich Bible. Zwingili translated the Massoretic Hebrew and Greek Textus Receptus into Swiss German 4 years before Martin Luther published and printed his first edition.. The Froschauer Bibel was the Bibel of the Swiss Brethren. The Froschauer Bibel was the favored version of the Swiss Brethren, and their succesors for many generations falsely called anabaptists by Calvinist Zwingili and his state sponsored religion. Conservative Mennonites in America 🇺🇸 started reading the King James Bible 100 years ago and Conservative Amish use the King James Bibel along with the Froschauer Bibel

Why wouldn’t the devils want to have God’s pure word of truth for himself, for his own devices, and for everyone else to have the modern word of man?
True knowledge of God is powerful and leads to freedom. The Lord Jesus Christ himself said, “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Jo. 8:32 KJV This was very helpful. Thank you.

Being the first Presbyterian King of England, James Stewart had grace on the Puritans to translate the 2nd Authorized version . The Most High God's true accurate and *infallible* Written Word would actually lay on the ancient Sumerian clay tablets. All the controversy is silly. *1611 KJV* being a pivotal translation for spreading The Most High God's Written Word for that time and place (western world) is certainly *true.* But not to be confused with or looked at as anything more than a regular book, other than that it was put together by the guise of the Holy Spirit according to the will of the Most High God, which was to give humans the benefit of the doubt upon receiving His message to than become hearers and doers of His Word in order to *possibly* become salt of the earth by bringing Glory to the Almighty Creator by becoming a living sacrifice or a shining light of truth (truth being The Lord's Holy Word) where there is darkness, only made possible through our saving faith which was made possible for sinners by the perfect & Holy act of Mercy of the Lord through His perfect act of selfless bloodshed, suffering and death to put an end to the sins of the world and rise again to eliminate death & anoint all who believe in Him as being God in the flesh until he returns to earth again the same way he left. This too is the Most High God's perfect picture of His sacrificial love to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear that the Holy Creator desires nothing more than to have a unconditionally loving, joyous, deeply personal & everlasting relationship with *ALL* of humanity on an individual scale within His Holy & Everlasting Heavenly Kingdom.
May the Grace of the Lord be with whoever read this. ❤

Malachi 2:16 is one of the only passages in the old testament where God speaks on his view of divorce. In the Geneva God instructs the israelites that hate their wives to divorce them. The King James in this same verse makes it clear that he HATES divorce "putting away" as the passage says. Jesus affirms this stance on divorce in the gospels (Matthew 19:8). This is a serious error on the Genevas part.
You hit the nail on the head, the Geneva was a good translation in many ways and had its place in the process of perfecting the english translation of God's word But it will never take the place of what God has used and blessed for the last 400+ years, the Authorized version of 1611, the King James Bible.
