They didn't mention that the crucifix the prisoners carved in remembrance of Father Kapaun is now hanging at Kapaun-Mount Carmel High School in Wichita Kansas...My daughter graduated from that school in 1994...

Attended his funeral Vigil and watched a key clip from his funeral where another POW told about Fr Kapaun's time in the prison camp.
Basically Fr Kapaun kept the men's hope up better than any of the other three prison camp valleys that his had the least amount of death! Consequently, once he fell ill, the Chinese matryed him by doing nothing to save him when they could have and instead sent him to the death house. Nonetheless, Fr Kapaun accepted his fate, forgave the prison guards, and joined God in heaven.
This man is one I hope to one day say that I was once in the presence of a Saint before my time comes!

Anyone else wonder why our Medal of Honor that we give our heroes has a straight up pentagram on it? Our heroes deserve far greater a symbol of honor than that, imho, the medal should be an image that has more of a Christian symbolism that our heroes fought for and died for, and definitely did not think our country was in some ultra secretly ancient backwards & intentionally at the most highest levels trying to pervert & give worship to all that is opposite of what they & our country, our citizens, our Christian churches, our military, our wonderful Christ centered beliefs and values actually truly stand for. Praying for our country and for our eyes to be opened with the help of people like the late Fr. Kapaun who love the Lord & served Him in life and through the love of this great country the USA. God bless!

Well, actually it was originally a Christian symbol (to represent the wounds of Christ) like the all seeing eye (of God) but sadly its been cooped by evil people.
