- long distance is hard as heck so if you’re doing it right now, you have our love! we literally only lasted 6 months before Sufi decided to move across the country, but we did pick up some tips & we hope they help you guys out too.

Im living w my parents... while my gf is living in another country, alone... and we havent seen each other for like almost 9 months... and shes been through serious mental health issues... I love when people talk about ldr's in a creative, honest way. no romanticizing literally missing your person 24/7 for me, please. we intentionally fall asleep over facetime, like, every night... there's something really comforting about hearing sleepy sounds or the rustle of sheets. before we were long distance, we were both quite busy with work, and coming back and showering and snuggling in bed was our moment to reconnect, so I think that has something to do with it. :)
also, because apparently I'm writing an essay in these comments today, one thing that has greatly benefited us in our LDR is that we decided beforehand that we would not break up while apart. obviously, this is a financially feasible thing for us because we see each other a little less than once a month, but it took off a TON of stress in our moments of conflict. I recommend it, as it's allowed us to show our imperfections and be vulnerable without fear that the other will immediately leave, and confronting conflict is made easier (bc at least for me it's harder when apart to do so) when the fear that maybe it will end in a breakup is gone. luckily, we have never had to use that agreement, but even still, we've talked about how it's added a layer of safety to distance, which feels tumultuous at times.

Hi, I live in Canada but I’m from India Punjab. My gf is also from India. Nowadays a lot of downs are going on in our relationship because of the lack of communication between us. She’s doing animation designing so all the time she get busy with her assignments and family because of lockdown she’s not going out anywhere neither her family so being in an Indian family that’s really tough for her to talk to me coz parents are like this why you are on your phone all the day blah blah blah and it’s been 2 months that we didn’t see each other on video call. So we had a fight last week I call her continuously and she gets irritated by my tons of calls because she told me not to do so Coz then her family will ask like why is she calling you all the time kind of stuff and now we are on a little break so that when our heads get clear. We can talk to each other and find a solution. But I really can’t afford loosing her. She’s my Jaan❤️🥺 I hate this distance. It’s been 1year and 4 months that we didn’t meet. these are such helpful tips...like actually really good ways to cope with a long distance relationship and not make things go downhill. also falling asleep during facetime is super common not to mention it's great when you wake up to see the other person sleeping hehe not in a creepy way i just love her.

We follow many of the tips but still we are not able to communicate to each other properly.
Can you please give us more tips for not getting distant.
Well idk your relationship but mine ended mostly cause my ex didn't tell me everything like how she is feeling or how she left everytime I asked she would say I don't wanna talk about it. So please don't do that. Tell each other how you feel. If you feel you are getting distant tell her that. And btw as Suri and anjali said the all night call is literally the best. Talk more not chat calling is the best and video call is literally the number one thing
