We have a 2008 with the 1.2 engine. No issues with acceleration or speed when cruising. It is quicker away than many German cars with bigger engines, a pleasant surprise at lights...for me anyway. Super economical too. Love it.
I've been driving one in Spain for a couple of weeks. Peugeot have really upped it's game with this car, it looks amazing. Super smooth, 1.2 petrol engine is willing and muted unless you rev it hard, but the sound is not horrible by any stretch of the imagination. Comes with all the bells and whistles that you need along with comfy seats ahuge boot and good visibility. Surpasses the VW/Audi option in every area, well done Peugeot this is definitely a sound purchase.
Saw it in the flesh last week. Can confirm it looks 10x better than how it looks in screen. Even my friend who hated Peugeot and just went with me for fun and giggles fell in love with it, but then we opened the bonnett and saw the 3cl engine... why Peugeot just WHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
Needs 50 more nm torque, a base model widely available in europe makes sense in the inflation hit aussie market, would give the dealers something to service and do warranty repairs… 40/20/40 rear split is brilliant…
True - the Mazda 6 is a great car (I used to own one), but it is getting on a bit with some quite old interior tech and rumour has it that the 6's days are numbered. Thanks for watching!
Bit of a surprise look from Peugeot who have a history of building swish looking cars (504, 405, 205 and previous 308) however this wagon looks like a car one would use to transport cargo from the morgue to the cemetery.
It isn't controversial to say that. Stupid SUV's need to be stopped. Way more fuel expensive, more dangerous at accidents with cyclists or pedestrians and they are less practical than a stationwagon.
1.2L 96Kw is such a rubbish underpowered engine for a $56K wagon! As well as no spare tyre? No thanks, I'd rather get better value from a Skoda Octavia
Fair call - the Octavia is great. The 1.2L engine is small, but surprisingly zippy and I think it's high trim level makes it a good buy. Thanks for watching!
2023 308sw 1.2 fully loaded and with boot full of luggage driving through the Spanish mountains no problems whatsoever, a real eager engine with plenty of low to mid torque, nothing overtook me!
@@4wheelsandaseat you can enjoy the trim while parked in your garage but as soon as you start driving it, you'll forever hate yourself for the decision you made to purchase one.

They're really good and somewhat under-appreciated cars. Thanks for watching!

I agree! I think this is the best Peugeot I’ve driven. It’s a really good car. Thanks for watching!
They really are the best cars on the market in their segment, so far and beyond the Asian offerings. A little pricey these days however..
They are great cars and there should be more of them on the road. Thanks for watching!

I know it’s such a disappointment. Why couldn’t they bring the larger engine here???? Great car otherwise. Thanks for watching.
Peugeot 🥰

It's a really good car - I like it! Thanks for watching.
Still get a Mazda 6 wagon sport with all the comfort and safety kit you need for slightly over $40,000 .

Awesome Vehicle BUT too expensive when there are better alternatives for less money 😊
Yes, true but the boot is bigger than just about anything else in its class or even the class above. Thanks for watching!

Ergh. That will teach me to double check my videos before hitting upload! Thanks for letting me know.

Ha! That's a unique view! I quite like the design - it's very eye catching. Thanks for watching.
@@4wheelsandaseat No worries Mate. Aussies are a conservative bunch and I very much doubt you'll see many of these wagons on the roads.

Seems to be a controversial opinion among certain SUV buyers. Thanks for watching!
the standard stereo is crap?
I thought it was fine.
not every one wants an suv disable find in hard to get in an suv
I think you mean a crossover not an SUV

@@muffindell still massively underpowered compared to the Octavia.
