Absolutely. The wreck that was left after Riley left the Sooners in ashes was not going to be soon remedied.
BS. Riley took 3 players and other than Caleb the others were no loss.
OU’s issues with leadership and Joe C are the very reasons Riley left to begin with. And you’re seeing the results of that failed leadership today..
@@The_Ghost_In_The_Machine_ BS is right…for what you wrote. To act like what stinkin’ lincoln left of the OU program is far beyond just taking 3 players. In reality, and at best, he left the locker room in shambles with a bunch of players that stayed to play for BV admitting they were considering leaving OU even with that snake riley here. He was recruiting for USuC even as OU’s coach. He did everything he could to sabotage OU for the sake of making himself look like he was reason OU had success, when in reality he was lowering the bar for what he inherited year upon year. He seen the writing on the wall and bailed before his legacy took the hit.
Judging by your other comments, you’re either the most cynical OU fan I’ve witnessed or you’re not an OU fan, at all. Since your comments align with known Texazz commentators, that would be my educated guess. Whatever your allegiance is, BV is here for 25 & you’re just going to have to learn to deal. Idk if you think your anti-BV criticism is going to change true OU fan’s minds, like my own, but I’m stoked that BV is OU’s coach. But, since you’re so hard at work trying to convince anyone who will listen, why don’t you share with us who replaces BV that gives OU a better shot at national success who OU can realistically go and get? I’ll wait…

OU should’ve gotten Dan Lanning. OU needs to stop the nepotism, (running BV off to keep Mike Stoops years ago, lately, Joe Jon, Seth disastrous hires)..
Clean house top to bottom, get rid of the Bob Stoops connections & become a serious program. OU’s issues are not merely head coach related.
Your hated of LR is preventing you from seeing the bigger issues with OU.
OU has not won a title in 25 years. The basketball program AND the football program has not been taken serious in years, and you’re seeing the results of that now.
The definition of insanity, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”..
@@The_Ghost_In_The_Machine_ Dan Lanning is shoulda, woulda, coulda… OU fires BV today…who’s taking his place by tomorrow? You want to beat this drum of getting rid of all things Stoops, who’s an actual replacement? Lanning isn’t realistic. He’s got no reason to leave Oregon! My point is: to those so eager to get BV out the door, you better have a REALISTIC replacement in place or we’re going to be Tx. replacing HCes every few years. Not having it, man!!!
He's a top 25 defensive coach. Sure as hell not a top 25 head coach
Top 5 DC, Top 40 HC.
he is doing this to save his job. nothing wrong with that. ESPN just ranked Oklahoma as the most disappointing team in regards to recruiting. 16th ranked in the portal and 16th in recruiting isn't going to win games. I see another 6-7 win season
Winning the bowl games would help!
True. At least we’d have a better taste in our mouths during the offseason.
Do away with the spring game and have a preseason game (modified) right before season with a mid major
I believe everyone is frustrated with tampering, and it is great to have a culture environment that puts the person first before team.
That is not the world we live in today DV hast to remember he is the coach of the University of Oklahoma .
When he came from Clemson, a bunch of high profile players, who became high draft choices, wanted to come with him somewhere even crying on the phone, but he still felt allegiance to Dabo and the Clemson program.
Think for a minute, how the projection of the program could’ve been different.
Young men today only think about how much money they can receive for a little work as NIL HAS MADE THEM SOFT. They understand, making it to the next level the NFL their chances are slim and none and slim left the building!!!
Have to recruit hard and get to the deep south and get some of those SEC athletes and road graders!
Yes there were injuries, but there was also all new starters at the 5 OL positions and TE, plus the wrong OC hire. The offensive struggles was a combination of those three factors.
This year needs to be a different story.
I would put bright yellow shirts on the wide receivers in practice
Locked on commercials 🤗🤗🤗
So annoying
I’m tired of this “injured players” bs excuse. The SAME TEAM beat Alabama. Where were the “injured players” excuses during that game?
No way OU is a playoff team with BV.
I think Oklahoma fails to see how irrelevant they have become these last 3 seasons. No different than the OU basketball team, they have fallen far behind in every category, and that all goes back to failed leadership at the top, Joe C.
Alabama at home when they were on their downward spiral. The next game we got blown out by lsu. 10-2 in 2023 with a win over Texas. To say the injuries didn’t affect them is just crazy. To say that’s the only reason they were bad is also crazy. But none the less, injuries were the biggest factor in it all.
@ oh please. 2023 schedule was the easiest in the country & OU still lost to Kansas & OSU AND the Bowl game.
@ right which is why I mentioned the win again a Texas team that made it to the last 4 team playoff. But honestly we get 10 wins and you still find something wrong with it? That makes sense.
Got to work with what you got.. too funny..no team in college football would've did better with the injuries OU had last year...
Maybe top 40-50 range he ain't top 25 yet
No one of the best defensive guys.
I think both be on and vinnibles should not be where they are benevolence could have been 25 and that was been okay with that i would like you to be twenty three
Deion Sanders I think they’re really have him overrated
