Thank you for timestamps!! I’m working with and on my makeup stash. Slowly and methodically. I appreciate your videos. Starting by not calling it a collection 😂. I store my double ended IT brushes with the small end down and they’ve always been fine. It is not as if the other end is super heavy. I use them more than any other face brush. 🌹
You're very welcome! 💛 I'm so happy we can slowly and methodically work on our makeup stashes together. Thanks for the tip with storing the double-ended IT brushes vertically. I think I'll try that, because they really are lovely brushes, and I'd like to get more use out of them.
💐 I love how cozy your makeup area is. I love the big chair. Thank you for giving us a tour of your beauty space! There always so fun and sometimes I get ideas for storage or whatever. I use an old dresser to store all my makeup. I had the Alex drawers and they didn’t last. I also use a night stand for my lipsticks and brushes that either are dirty or just some extras. I have to say you have a huge amount of brushes!😂 I would love to see a declutter of your brushes. I wish these brush companies would come out with something for our double sided brushes that’s convenient and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I know we can put them in a box so they’re laying flat but I want something nice that doesn’t take up a lot of space. We were chatting the other day and I never got back to you. We have 2 golden retrievers (sisters). We couldn’t ask for two amazing and loving girls!❤ However Sophie got ahold of my lip balm and ate most of it. 🤢😂 She was fine. I don’t blame her, it smelt like birthday cake. 😋 I hope your having a nice and relaxing Sunday. Have a good week.
Thank you! I agree, it's so much fun to see what people have and how they store it. I'm sorry to hear your Alex drawers didn't work out. I guess that makes me glad I never tried them, though. I definitely have too many brushes. That will be changing soon though. ;-) Your pups sound so sweet! I hope you have a great week, too. It was lovely hearing from you.
🌻You have really inspired me to become more of an adagio consumer as well. Your content is always so refreshing, informative, and entertaining. :) I hope you are doing well!
Same here! I really enjoyed your makeup collection series - you took so much time to discuss everything in so much detail and it was fun to see so many swatches. And I really like the way you organize all your beautiful things!
SO CONVENIENT. It used to be so hard to find the right pencil and now I can just open the book and BAM! There it is. The one I have is linked in the show notes.

I'm nosy, too, so I'll definitely watch any collection video you make (just like I already watch your inventory videos). I would also watch a panning for gold series! I might actually start mine up again, considering the fact that I still have SOOOO much similar makeup. 😂
Hi! New subbie here. WOW, you have an amazing voice, I heard you say you go on "tour" before I go doing some snooping around, I am going to bet you do something that uses your absolutely Fabolous voice :) I recently decided to sell off most of my make up collection, I began collecting in 2015, I am 56 and wore makeup since my teens but all my makeup could pretty much fit in one makeup bag until 2015. Today I have over 100 eye shadow pallets, about that many blushes and at least 70 bronzers. lipsticks, ugh I can not count them, I don't think I want to know. I have held one weekend sale and left it all set up in my dinning room as it took days to organize, price etc. I will run sales again a couple times before I take it all down and then I guess I will sell in lots on Poshmark. I am done thinking I am a makeup collector. I do not have a social media presence and I don't even use 90% of what I buy. I use the colorpop going coconuts palette every single day, have 5 in back up. I do use many of my blushes and bronzers never use a highlighter and do use many of my lipsticks. I had to throw out about 45 lip glosses, so no more lip glosses ever. 🪷 Thank you so much for making this video! It really helps me put things into perspective! I felt guilty for a long time because of my make-up collection, but after seeing your video, I've realized that it's not as bad as I thought. 😂
I love this container concept. I am currently trying to work through my collection to get down to the container size that is most pleasant for me. I’m definitely feeling overwhelmed with my lippies, blushes, and eyeshadows! WHEN you are ready for that in between blush, flower knows is a c beauty brand that does a good mix between subtlety and pigmentation, I have the little angel collection cream blush in flaming heart and it seems to be that peach-y brown tone you’re looking for. Of course this brand phases out older collections but they do tend to do very similar shades in every collection :) Edit: Here’s my flower for you! 🌷
Thanks for taking a moment to leave such a thoughtful comment! Once I actually had everything organized into containers, I realized I would ideally like to downsize even more. It will certainly be a challenge, since everything I have now is something I really enjoy though. 😂 I appreciate the suggestion! I've added Flower Knows to my potential blush list. Exactly! Since I started doing this I wash my brushes so much more frequently. Instead of waiting until I felt like I had no clean brushes left, now I take the cup and wash the brushes a couple of times a week. It makes washing brushes less of a chore because I don’t have to take a huge chunk of time to clean them anymore. I just wash a handful at a time.
My big gift this year was a makeup vanity. I just casually mentioned that I wanted one to get one to my younger brother he's 25. He found one on Facebook Marketplace for $100 and painted it a Tiffany Blue and then my dad found drawers at Michaels and a grandma chair. It has made things so much easier because I was constantly running back and forth getting products and now it's easier having all things in one place 😊
That sounds like such a welcome change! And what a beautiful solution. I can imagine how much easier it is to do your makeup when you have everything in one place!
I love the inside look, I’m so nosy plus I get tips. I have a nook like you with a chair and trunk on one side and a bookcase on the other. BUT since I’m addicted to eyeshadow palettes I have a bookcase for them all by itself.
I guess I must be nosy too, because I love seeing how other people do things, as well. That bookcase must be GLORIOUS! (Yay for all the colored eye dirt!)
I love this container concept! I kind of do this a little bit, but I’m not very good about sticking to it. The very same thing happened to me with my Lisa Eldridge lipstick; interestingly, in that very one! I stuck it in a new plastic pill container with the intention of using it as a cream blush, and I just never think to use it that way! I just found a Revlon squishy applicator thingy that I’m going to try to use with it so that I can use it as a lipstick. I don’t enjoy using lipstick brushes.
I'm so glad you enjoy it! That's so strange that the same exact thing happened with your LE lipstick too! I hope that your applicator works out so that you can get some more use out of it.
@@TheStyleStumbler actually, all of my Lisa Eldridge velvet lipsticks broke on me! The muse one is the only one that I had to repot. The other ones are hanging on by a thread in the tubes, and I just have to be super careful with them when I use them. I guess that didn’t really help much with your question about what to do with yours. The tool I got is the Revlon dual ended Jelly makeup blender. It has a larger side for cream cheek products and a smaller side for lip products. 🌸 thank you for the inspiration! I’m going to try to do a better job of not letting products overflow out of the containers so I’ve chosen for them!

⚘️Loved this video❤😊 So fun to get a peak in to your collection! I wasn't aware you where such a viseart-fan! Are those your favourite eyeshadow formula? I only have a quad from them, but I really like that one. Also, how do you go about with the sound on your overhead videoes? Do you do voiceover, or a special microphone? Your voice is so nice and clear!

Great ideas like these eventually sicker down through the ether without a source. Thank you for letting me know who started it all! Have your read that book? If so, did you find it helpful?
@TheStyleStumbler you're welcome! I found it extremely helpful. It changed my way of thinking about my 'stuff', that I was drowning under. I am a make up and toiletries hoarder and it's the next thing I need to go through. Using the theories from the book will be a great help, I think. Especially the container concept. I'm watching more of your videos today! Xx Ps the pencil book idea is genius! I'll be adopting that!
@ Thanks for letting me know! It sounds like it might be a really helpful resource for me, too. I'm not sure I'd consider myself a hoarder, but I definitely tend towards that direction. So I hope the videos I've made as I've tried to let go of things will help. 💛 I'm so glad you enjoy the pencil book idea! It has made finding the pencil I want so much easier.
@TheStyleStumbler I don't consider myself a hoarder either, but I have those tendencies! I have no issue with letting things go, but I like my stuff. It's only now I'm older that I think how much money I've spent on it, and that it contributes to my anxiety. I have two relatives who are hoarders, and I don't know how they cope. Good luck with your journey. Xx

I would declutter the one Lisa Eldridge lip product in the compact. If it isn't making you happy, why let it take up space?
That is an excellent point. I think you immediately made up my mind on this. Thanks for your input!

Great ideas like these eventually sicker down through the ether without a source. Thank you for letting me know who started it all! Have your read that book? If so, did you find it helpful?
@TheStyleStumbler you're welcome!
Xx
Ps the pencil book idea is genius! I'll be adopting that!
@ Thanks for letting me know! It sounds like it might be a really helpful resource for me, too.
I'm not sure I'd consider myself a hoarder, but I definitely tend towards that direction. So I hope the videos I've made as I've tried to let go of things will help. 💛
I'm so glad you enjoy the pencil book idea!
Xx
