Mary Poppins Sydney lyric theatre final performance

When I went there, Mary Poppins was held by wire and flew over the audience. It was magical!

I was there for the last matinee performance a few hours before. The curtain call was extended to farewell the Tuppence lady! She was one of the first major Female theatre performers in Australia in the 60s, when most of the performers came from overseas. That was her last performance before she retired, and will not be going on to Queensland. It's great you got such a wonderful view and enjoyed such a wonderful performance!

The tuppence lady was Nancy Hayes And yes I know as my little friends that played Jane and Michael was in that performance and as I’ve seen Mary Poppins 10 times so

I want to see this in Melbourne. Any advice on where to sit to get the best experience? Dress circle? Or front few rows/mid section of the stalls? It's my children's first theatre experience and I want it to be so magical!

I suggest the front middle as you can see everything nice and close and every single actor :)

Dress circle is also cool, when I saw this show I seat right under the dress circle and in the end when mary flies out the stage I realized how much it would be awsome to seat in the dress circle...
