This video was made with a low light sensitive camera. No video lighting or bright lcd screens were used to prevent spoiling the magic to other guests. Remember, never use flash or video lighting on dark rides.

I’ve ridden this ride a lot. Oldest Ride Longest Line and they fixed the sound effects on it! I’m definitely going to bring my GoPro and film the ride on it.

This is a great video because your camera some how makes look almost exactly how it looks when you are riding it. All the other videos are either pitch black (which is not how the ride is since like 1990) or lights on which doesnt show how intense it really is
I just rode it today. my dad say in the front of the car, my little sister sat behind him, and my mom sat behind her. I ended up in the car behind them. and the girl behind me was talking to me before the ride started. we talked about how scared we were😂😂 it was great. I love Disney

I road this ride a long time ago and I remember it being so magical I felt like I was flying through the Stars and just the sounds and everything on the ride made it all the more incredible and now I want to go back to Disney World so I can ride it again!

When I was a kid at WDW I skipped the ride because the queue was too dark and scary looking.... regret it to this day

watching this in the dark in my room just to feel something.
In real life, it feels like you're gonna hit something, and even though its really slow it feels so fast because of this. I loved the ride, it was actually much more intense than it actually is
The darkness really makes the ride for me. Without it the ride would be much more tame and not nearly as intense as it truly is when experienced how intended
Whenever I go on this ride with my family, they’re always like “I don’t remember it going this fast” 😂 Makes me crack up all the time

Whenever I’m in Disney on rides, I’m not one of those tourists who just sit and enjoy and point. I love getting into the story, and using my imagination it makes it so much better. I pretend I really am in the story. Thx for the video btw

I went in 2001 and I was 9. I have vague memories of Disney but I remember walking to the coaster and then just flying through the stars. It was so cool!!! I can’t believe they still hve it there! 🤗
what the actual heck. this camera quality?! an still see enough of what’s really going on, all the outer space shenanigans on this ride and all! plus the sound isn’t completely butchering the experience. this gives me so much nostalgia. it’s as if i got on this ride again. honestly??? 20/10.

I first rode Space Mountain at WDW back in 1981.loved every minute of it. I al got to ride space mountain with the lights on twice in 2000 & 2004. My favorite ride at Walt Disney world
I lovvve this ride! I've been to Disney World at least 25 times in my life, been goin since the late 80s and this was always my favorite ride. It never disappoints!

Thought I'd share an experience I had last time I went to Disney. There was a man sitting behind me that had to be split up from his family while they rode in a different ride vehicle. As we are flying through the dark, I just hear this man giggling like a little girl, shouting things in Spanish, and having the time of his life. It was so wholesome and made the experience all the better. He was making me laugh so much my restraint was hurting me lol.
How big are the drops? I just wanna know before i regret my life choices riding this. Its intimidating looking at it from the outside.
The tallest drop is 30 feet and the ride goeas around 30 mph, its basically a kid ride but the fact that its in the dark makes it seem more intense than it actually is. I would ride it if I were you.
Exactly. I am not a fan of huge drops, and this one is ok 👌🏻 we have just rode this one on December (at Orlando) and is pretty nice. Go for it!

Chelsor to be honest I am scared of heights and roller coasters but after riding it I was pretty bored it is fun in a way but it is somewhat boring

The new one is awesome way better so detailed inside now you can see the other coasters pass you up and lights of ships music 🥰

Hi there, I from England and went to WDW in 2001 and hope to come over in two years time for the 50th celebrations and I remember going on this ride.... and coming off it and i had to get the T-shirt for this ride which I still have to this day. Hope they still do Space Mountain T-shirts and for other rides as well as I collect them. Many thanks for this... brought back memories.

I have been on Space Mountain two times, in 1975 and in 2014, and it's been pretty remarkable.
This video shows the ride very well, i haven't been on Space Mt. before because i was to scared. Now, i think i will try it out now that i've seen a clear video of it!! Ty ☆

first time i got on space mountain back in the 70s, the music in the entranced walkway sounded like it was from the Gary Wright song Dream Weaver
I love how this video is more than just the ride, showing the queue line and the exit and everything. Just seeing the ride is good, but it was neat to be able to experience the thematics of the walk to, and the wait for, the ride, as well as the fun scenery as you made your way out. Thanks for including the entire experience!

Thanks, as a child of the 70s, I recall before there was a Space Mountain. Then, when open, it was Nirvana. This is my favorite ride and cue at WDW.
The thing about Space Mountain is when you ride it when you're younger it leaves a lasting impression. Rode it when I was 5 for the first time and it was just as enjoyable in my 30's.

Same here i had the same experience when i got forced to go on this ride at Disney Orlando i litterly cried and screamed to the top of my lungs saying i don't want to go on this ride i also had the workers stop the ride because i was scared they did stop the ride for a short sec then they started the ride i made some big eyes as we went in the tunnel but while i was screaming to the top of my lungs at the beginning my sisters and other people waiting to get on the ride started busting out laughing at me making a scene on the ride but i am frightened of roller coasters i have been scared of them all my life

I remember when I was riding this ride years ago. I was wearing a magic band, and it came loose when I was riding and flew right off! I didn’t even notice! Until I felt something hit my lap. I felt in my lap and there it was! It’s a miracle that it just happened to fall there so perfectly, or else I wouldn’t be able to ride any more rides that entire trip. Learned my lesson to keep my hands down when riding Space Mountain. I miss those fun times before quarantine

This is probably the closest I'll ever get to experiencing the ride myself, before the either close or change it. That queue area is ridiculously huge.
Wow I finally found the name of the ride that made me almost die 16 years ago. Went on this in 2005 when I was 7 and now I’m 23 and let me just say this video brought back soooooooo many memories. It felt like it was just yesterday I was on this ride. Lol idk if I would try it again.

I rode it in 2018 when I was 11. my first roller coaster, so it was really scary for me
I knew that the Disney World version was different from the Disneyland version, but it's amazing seeing just HOW different they truly are. The Disney World version (the original) resembles the Disneyland Matterhorn in its small ride vehicles, lack of on-board audio, two-track layout, practical set pieces, and dual boarding platforms. The Disneyland version, on the other hand, has a long outdoor queue (because Southern California weather is more predictable), a more refined indoor queue with a single loading area and larger ride vehicles, and has the awesome Ride Control Room looming overhead where guests can see the Cast Member monitoring them before they enter the lift tunnel.
