Our year around the world started where Meghan and I (Matt) spent our honeymoon, in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. When we were on our honeymoon in 2018 we said it would be awesome to bring our future kids here one day, so we did!
We stayed in a more local area of Ao Nang, while still visiting the beach and the tourist area occasionally. We even stayed two nights at the resort we spent our honeymoon at, Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi.

We are The Traveling Texans- Matt and Meghan, our kids Ryan and Heidi, and my cousin Christy! We live in New Braunfels, TX and are creating content sharing our adventures of living abroad for one year. We had a house fire in 2021 that destroyed everything we own, but did not destroy our home. What I mean by that is our home is where we are together, not our house.
This trip will afford us the time together we do not always get due to work, daycare, and hectic evenings and weekends. It will allow us to slow down and enjoy being together, being with our kids during these formative and fun years.
