As bad ass as they are now (and they truly are something else) they were undeniably ridiculously good when they were younger. This is off their first album. It was released in 2017 but they were probably 16, 14, and 11 when they wrote it. I find that startling.
As a drummer and multi-instrumenalist myself for over 3 decades, I'm so impressed with Pau. Simple 5 chord progression with chorus, but Pau's drum parts are anything but simple and she sings while playing an offbeat pattern (snare on 1 and 3) the chorus is more involved too. The way they grow the energy is incredible. I've seen them 7 times, but this one is a bucket list song along with 23. ⚠️⚡️🤘⚡️⚠️
I am 68 years old. I played drums some 50+ years ago. I just started playing again for exercise, and the urge, In part thanks to Pau, of The Warning, Akane of BandMaid, and others on RUclips. But getting 4 Limbs to work independently is extremely hard right now. The brain and my limbs are on two different continents right no. I cant imagine singing on top of that. If you watch her, her movements are so incredibly fluid, and smooth. Between Muscle Memory, the Drumkit being set up exactly the same for every gig, the drumstick and the drumhead are in the same location helps a lot. The Warning is probably the first band I have had the pleasure of watching since they were extremely young. They were pros when they were early teens and preteens. Unbelievable!! Go get em' Pau the Destrroyer, Ale The Silent Assassin, And Dany The Angelic Voice and Director of Operations!!
"They're just having fun out there!" Yeah, that's the secret of their success. Party like you have the flu and the air's thin at 7350 feet above sea level and you have 23 songs to sing for 8000 people at your tenth anniversary of the band concert... This is one of the best rock shows on RUclips. They have no bad songs, creativity out the wazoo, and energy turned up to 11.
You can thank Beto Ramos, Pau's drum teacher and the drummer of the Mexican band Jumbo for the audio mix and the FOH engineer Eduardo 'Lalo' Plaza for giving him the best possible live sound to work with.
@@thesoundbus Both Lalo & Beto have been part of The Warning's extended family for years. They know the songs as well as DPA. I'm sure you know how much of a difference that can make when capturing live audio.
The approval of Luis Villarreal ( sound engineer ) got something to do with it too. He is the one that has been said , likes to used the best ways and techniques to make the Band sound outstanding. A comment made by Lalo Plaza in an Interview in Spanish.
@@Tbcycoji Dany said that their dad used to work in a recording studio when she was really young. Which is a big reason he knows good gear, and knows how to make his daughters sound so good on stage. Luis wears multiple hats. I think he helps with production and probably roadie work. Oh and being a cool dad!
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but Ale shares a guitar neck pump with Dany while Pau is soloing, and Ale then shares a hair flip with Pau while Dany soloes. A cool touch. Love this anthem ! 🤟🎸🥁🎸🤟
I always find myself gasping for air at the end of watching them perform this song. I simply stop breathing for the outro for some reason, and don't even realize it. Craziest part, it has been happening since the first time I seen it 6 years ago. They're just mesmerizing! ⚡
I am hoping when and if they play in Texas this year they bring some of these amazing songs back. Literally anything off of 21st CB and QOTMS would make me shit my pants if I didn't know it was coming.
The high quality sound that the band has always had is its father, Luis Virrareal, who is a Sound Engineer by profession. And he has always been behind them since they were children, giving them the best instruments and equipment they needed. He also made them a small studio, where they had a place to rehearse. It is no coincidence that they have that sound quality. The Warning are not just the girls on stage, but an entire team that has conformed to who they are now. And it is a first-class team.
This!! He has helped them to find the right people around them like Lalo Plaza and Beto Ramos. Their mom too, she is always supporting them and provides what only a mom can do.
This band was writing great songs right after they crawled out of the crib it seems.. imagine being 20+ years old and you already have oldies but goodies in your original catalog.. 🤯💥🤯. 🌏✌️
Their biggest challenge moving forward might be deciding which songs to drop from their setlist! Or being forced to play no-repeat back to back shows in every city. 🤘⚡
Astounding to have a catalog that deep at their age. Not to mention, they might be the youngest musicians in history to have a tribute band: ruclips.net/video/EWY1wuj54zs/видео.html
I haven't heard that particular song in months I forgot how intense it truly is you almost forget to breathe. Love the sisters Villareal❤❤❤🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽⚡️⚡️⚡️
there's so much to love about this performance from Dani and Ale's synchronized guitar swings to Ale and Pau's synchronized head sways but especially Dani's facial expression @3:50 when she goes from love struck to PO'ed
The oldest song that they still play on their setlist as it is a fan favorite along with "When I Am Alone". Two of the best songs off their first album when they were just kids, or early teens. Truly incredible talent.
I don't think they even do When I'm Alone anymore. From what have seen it's just songs off of Error and KMF. They need to change that. We still love your older stuff!
This outro must be the most rocking and partylike music ever written! They are rocking out on that stage and having fun. I can´t help it but I am always starting to stomp my feet and singing along to the end. I did it the first time I heard it in 2017 and still am like hearing it for the first time. This is fun without limits.
The first song you have heard(across both channels) from their 1st album, XXI Century Blood. Album released in 2017 when they were 17 15 and 12, but written and recorded a year or so before. Ale missed some time at school to record the album, she missed part of the 4TH GRADE! The album's title track is another good one to check out, a song with a message you wouldn't expect from 2 teens and a preteen. You might want to do a double for that song , as the music video is great, and a live from this Pepsi Center concert. Also check out Freeze The Fall's live cover of "Survive" from the Revelry Apr 2024.
That's their anthem, Dany's solo at the end is provably their longest one. It's awesome and keeps getting better it's gotta be a lot of fun watching your sisters rocking out like that in front of a huge loud crowd.
The outro here is pure rock & roll energy. Bottle it, inject it straight into my veins. If you haven't already, check out the version of this they played at the end of their 2016 TEDx Talk at the University of Nevada. 16, 14, and freaking TWELVE.
That outro takes me way back to the early 70s. Foghat did a similar outro on Long Way to Go on their Rock and Roll album. But, dang! The sisters kill it. And it's LIVE!
One of their great classics. One thing to catch is the little guitar sync swing moves Ale and Dany do during the chorus. In the second half Ale mimics Pau's cymbal crash with a side to side motion with her head. It's little gems like that beyond the excellent music that makes The Warning above all others. Keep in mind this song was written when the only teen in the band was Dany. The entire XXI century Blood record is still an epic record. Sure their voices were SMOL (small in a cute way, Danyism) are so amazing. Monterrey is the new Liverpool!!!
Such a killer breakdown and outro they have so much fun couldn't agree more. My favorite songs are the ones they share vocals too. Great reaction thank you. 🔥⚡
They did this as part of their time on TEDx. That is where Paulina coined the phrase, in this context, "You have been WARNED". This song will go down as an anthem for them. It was on their first album and was put on the video game "Rock Band". TEDx for Survive. Dany was 17. Pau 15, and Ale 12. ruclips.net/video/eWg1Wwrm99o/видео.html
I believe the “you have been warned” first appeared at the end of the XXI Blood video? Or was that produced TEDX? Edit - just looked it up. TEDx was Feb 2017, XXI Century Blood was March 2017. Having said all this, don’t think I’ve seen or heard it from the band themselves since.
If you get around to reacting to the song "Show Them", from Band Maid with The Warning.... you'll notice that they end that song with MISA playing a similar ending as Ale' did with this song's ending. The 2 bassists have become great friends, MISA's new little sister.
The song that hooked most of us, when they did Survive at the 2018 TEDx from the Univ of Nevada. The outro that convinced us all that these young Ladies were Rockers!
I wish Ale would sing a song here and there. I heard her say in an interview that she doesn't like to sing. Bummer. She has a great voice. We realize that Ale is carrying the bulk of the woahs at the end because Pau and Dany are pretty busy.
She defers to her sisters in most things. She came to play the bass honestly. The best bassists in history are that way. Secondly her voice is good but she has the sisters with personality type for it.
Survive has recently fallen off the setlist, but fortunately I got to see it live twice before it did. I really hope it's back for the longer Mexico shows in February.
Thanks for mentioning the sound mixing. There are other audio and video reviewers that don’t mention the quality af the engineering. The Warning have top people working for and with them who provide us with this type of recording. It makes a huge difference.
Hey mate, Aussie fan of yours and huge Warning fan also but PLEASE can you do a DYNAZTY song? If you can start off with 'The White' if you like it we'll go from there down the rabbit hole and get you caught up before their new album comes out in February. I would not be asking if this band wasn't legit 🔥 they just need to get their name out there and we can do this together!!
@thesoundbus Hey bro! Still waiting for some Dynazty but I'd like to request Devilry of Ecstasy instead. It's their first release off their upcoming album so it will be a good one to start off with. Hope to see a reaction soon 😃
You think this was impressive, you should see the 2017 performance at the University of Nevada for their second TEDx presentation. Imagine them doing this song 7 years ago.

It boggles my mind too that three very young, an new to songwriting, girls can crank out a banger like this.
"Ridiculously good" is a defining characteristic throughout their career and one that seemed to have alighted on their heads at birth ⚡⚡⚡

Queens of Rock. My favorite song of The Warning. The endless oh-ohs by Ale to Dany's jamming ending with the bass. 🤘💯🤘
This song is a top 3 banger for me. And the outro might be my favorite thing they've ever done
4:22 And don’t forget Matt, this was Ale and Dany’s signature synced move in every Survive live performance! 🙂🔥
Just following those (they do several during the song) Ale and Pau do sideways silly hairflicks
