In a recent interview they were asked to name their top 5 best songs, and Ale immediately said 'Survive', so I think they still enjoy playing it ('Automatic Sun' was number 1) ;)
Ken, I've been a musician for 40 years and played with my brother for almost all that time, and I'll say this, nothing individually that DPA play is terribly difficult aside from Pau singing and playing.😬😂 Even the Evolve hook in 7 isn't that tough, but their energy and how tight they are as a sibling band cannot be faked or mimicked, believe me, I know. I will say, Pau on this song wrote some next level drumming. The verse rhythms, the chorus with double 16th's on the hats. The last 8 bars, hands swinging back and forth. Left doing hats to snare, right hand switching cymbals. All this above 90bpm. That syncopation is not easy. 😮

Checked Mayday tour videos & their it was. *TELLS ME IT PROBABLY HAD TO DO WITH DAVID BENDETH TOLD ALE & PAU WERE NOT PLAYING TOGETHER.* When they got back to Monterrey to get their rhythm on time. Maybe that's something they worked on in The Cave to see themselves better. Dany doesn't do it.

Yep, that Pau voice in their record with a little touch kinna like singing through a megaphone or something like that. but, now a days. It was mixed in left channel very low at Teatro and the track continues to play after Dany takes lead at Pepsi Center clear up to the end of the song.

I’ll miss not having this one in their sets going forward. Maybe they’ll add it back in when they are doing two hour sets in the future.
Longer sets are for sure in their future.
I hope they start playing longer and bringing their full stage production to the US next year.

I like that the times the camera catches a big smile on Ale the it quickly goes away like she got caught doing something wrong.

I think the keyboard gave it a more show tune feel. The guitar/bass intro works, I think, even though I did love seeing Ale do the keys.
