TERRIBLE NEWS For Sargeant After Antonelli's INSANE NEW DEAL with Williams!

  • ■ Kimi Antonelli is one of the brightest talents that has been constantly in the news for all the right reasons, and it seems like his entrance in the sport would be further accelerated after the latest statements coming from people close to F1’s inside circles. It seems like Williams and Mercedes might have agreed to ‘breed’ Antonelli’s talents in a deal which would secure a win-win situation for both sides, which would see Sargeant out of the sport and Antonelli being given the ultimate test as to whether or not he is ready for an F1 challenge at this age. But after a modest start to the F2 campaign, could this actually impose more bad influence on Antonelli’s future career in F1, and could it be that he is still not ready for the ultimate challenge in Mercedes from 2025 onwards?

      Pushing these super young kids into F1 is a mistake. If you look at the success rate of super young drivers, it's not great. Everyone will say "Verstappen" this and that, but Max is different; he literally grew up in an F1 car. The drivers are gradually getting older in F1, and that's for a reason: experience matters. Give Kimi a year or two in F2 and a year as a reserve driver, and he's still only 20ish years old at that point. Give him time to mature.

    Antonelli is a generational talent. Champion in everything he's run so far. I followed the F4 ITA, F4 ADAC, Freca, etc. races, to watch Rafa Câmara, and there was a certain Kimi Antonelli who always dominated the races. He doesn't rush into disputes, he doesn't crash, but he is quick, naturally, and very intelligent in managing races. This is no surprise, as he has been under the care of Mercedes since he was 13 years old. He is only 17 years old now, skipped F3, and has 24 points this season in F2 compared to 2 for teammate Bearman, who is in his 2nd year of F2. Antonelli is constantly testing GTs, formulas, and has even driven F1, and Mercedes has all the information from the tests. He may be 17 years old, but he's not inexperienced at all. Toto knows what he has in his hands. I've been following Kimi for about 2 and a half years now, and when he gets the hang of the car (which takes a few races), he starts to see an evolution curve in his results that is scary. He is very consistent, intelligent in racing and naturally fast. The sooner we put him in F1, the sooner he will have this evolution and knowledge curve. That's why I want to put the logo on F1, and it seems logical to me, because he's not an ordinary driver, he's a generational talent. Don't treat him like an ordinary pilot, because he's not that.

    • @peterangiolella2907
      @peterangiolella2907 Месяц назад

      Don’t forget Bearman was a serial winner before going into the more competitive series. Antonelli is still a kid and we won’t know how he truly stacks in F1 until he matures. Bearman also missed a weekend in F2 because he was occupied in F1. 24 points is still a lot but you’re discrediting Bearman to pump up Antonelli while Ollie had his fair share of misfortunes this season.

    • @peterangiolella2907
      @peterangiolella2907 Месяц назад

      Unless he finds a way to win this season he is just an ordinary pilot who has great potential. Verstappen skipped F2 entirely, the difference between F3 and F2 is enormous so there isn’t really a comparison to be made between the two in terms of generational talents

    • @rafaeloliveiradeoliveira343
      @rafaeloliveiradeoliveira343 Месяц назад

      @@peterangiolella2907 I didn't mention Max in any words. As for Ollie, he is a great talent, and I mention him to demonstrate how Kimi is being as competitive as Ollie. I point out that Ollie won F4 ITA and F4 ADAC in his 2nd year, and then was unable to become F3 and F2 champion in the following 2 years, which doesn't mean anything. Ollie will be an F1 driver in 2025, with Haas, and has a lot of potential, including being a champion in a few years. However, Antonelli is generally of greater potential.

    Most F1 champions started F1 super young Vettle 19, Alonso 19, Max 17, Lewis 21, Kimi 21, Schumacher 22, Senna 23. If you thin 21-23 is not super young, it actually was in their time. They are just getting younger and younger. That doesn't mean all mew young drivers will succeed or will be champions, but I understand why big teams look for young talents. Historically, if you are already good at 17, you will probably be even better at 25. There is also the risk of succumbing under pressure, but this is also a part of what makes or breaks a champion.

It increases the risk of more crashes as Antonelli gets to grips with the car. It puts Williams in TERRIBLE position for the 2025 drivers market. AND damages any trust they would have built with their talent in their drivers academy. If I we're Vowels I'd tell Toto to swap Hamilton out mid season if he wants Antonelli that badly.
