- Hi guys! Somebody commented on one of my videos explaining a problem that they're having with their human hair lace front wig. As I was typing it out, I realized I had A TON to say and it might make more sense if I made a video on it instead. Today I will address various options you could take if your wig keeps sliding back and won't stay on. I will discuss what this means and how to fix it! Hope this helps! Steph! You’re the best! Thank you for this video. I purchased the wig from a wig maker who did a video consult. We measured my head and the cap was sized to fit (?). Hand tied all lace top with wefts in the back. I was using the wig grip that you noted was not the best (with the lace). Lol! I ordered the Milano this week because I was wondering if this was an issue. The wig has the small combs on the sides and it has the band. I haven’t used the band (terrified that it is going to trigger a migraine) but I am going to try it after the other recommendations. And your explanation about tightness makes sense. How obvious about the color of the grip! Wow. My bio hair is red (basically the color of the RQ wig you’re wearing!) and I was using a light shaded grip with a red wig🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for your generosity of time and knowledge! Trying all in the next few days! I am just so grateful.

I have binge watched so many of your videos today. My stomach is paralyzed and I lose SO much hair! A friend just gifted me a bunch of wigs and I can't wait to play!

WOW! I'm definitely guilty of wearing my wig too tight... I was convinced that my hand-tied Simmer didn't fit my head cause my regular cap Wavy Day was OK-ish and never slide from my head, but simmer constatly was doing tricks on my head xD But hand tied cap felt for me so delicate that my first tought was that I need to make it tight and secure it as much as I can to my head ;D Now I know it was wrong LOL. Thank you Steph for opening my eyes :D

Hi Stephanie! Thanks for all your videos. I’ve struggled with hair loss disease for many years and after several years of trying every medication suggested by dermatologist I’ve given up trying. I have little hair on crown and blotches on my sides now. Your videos have been very helpful to me in finding and purchasing my very first wig. My concern is my wig feels like it’s sliding up from the back of my neck, nap area. I’ve purchased Rachael Welch Mesmerized in Java Ice color and do have the same WiGrip you have, the milono (may have not spelled correctly). I don’t see it moving when I shack my head but feel it and that makes me scared to go out in public.
I'm loving your videos and have two questions please! 1. What do you mean when you refer to glueless wigs? Do you mean monotop? Lace front? I can't find in the wigs website you recommend a category for "glueless". 2. Can you please do a video with ideas to tie your wig back off your face? I need my hair up for my work! 1. Put some got2b glued around the circumference of the lacefront. 2. Wear a second wig grip over the first wig grip. 3. To hide the wig grip put the nylon sticking cap over the wig grips
This is brilliant, I have tightened mine in the back to maximum! So perhaps if I loosen just a little it will help from sliding back from my forehead. I am going to try tomorrow, so excited & I’ll definitely report back!

I have had Belle Tress, Sakerato. Estetica, Verona, Ellen Willie, Tabu, Henry Margu, Riley and more. I have average size some ;) But Estetica was large on me. Ellen Willow Slightly small but all mostly a fit me and the ALL slip back. I adjust them and bobby pin them but the wig grip cap and the wig just all SLIP :(
I love your videos. You have hair very similar to mine. I'm brand new to wigs and I can't find any instructions on how to put on a wig that is lace 360 and it has combs, but no silicone. I can't figure out if I'm supposed to wear a cap or not. Do you have any info on how to put on a wig with combs?
I have the Milano wig grip and wear wig cap but it slides off anyway
Even with a big forehead I find using the 4 finger method works well to see where to should place your wig.
Totally does! It’s a great place to start, and then from there, you can decide if it looks best moving it forward or backwards (depending on the size of your forehead) 😊❤️

No, I don’t always wear a wig grip. If a wig is slightly too big on me then I will wear one, or if I’m going to a special something (like an event or dinner with family or friends) then I will. If I’m going to be meeting up with people (because people tend to hug and potentially pull on my wig when we hug and I don’t want it shifting lol) then I will also wear one! if I’m by myself, or with my husband, or with someone that I don’t need to worry about hugs and the potential, accidental tug on my wig, and the wig fits me then I won’t wear it :)
I personally don’t love the silicone wig grip. I have one, but I don’t like the little knobs on the one I have and I don’t like the feel of it on my head. Also when it’s winter and I’m cold in the morning, I don’t like the silicone touching my skin (I find it cold lol)
But that’s just my own preference :) I do know people who like the silicone!

There are caps you can purchase that are thicker (I don't have a thicker one on hand), but I mentioned it as text over the video when I was applying the cap 👍
