- In this video I will walk you through my thoughts on the Michelin Power 5 after over 2000 miles on my 2022 Hayabusa. How do I think they compare to the Bridgestone S22 tires that come with the Suzuki Hayabusa?

Enjoying your videos I just came across them. I'm up here in Manitoba Canada and I'm thinking of getting the 1st Gen. 99 model. Can't wait to try it .
Thanks, appreciate it! Hopefully it's started to thaw out up north!
Happy new years Dude great tire update busa looking good 👍🏼
Thanks bro, hope all is well with you sir. Got any more reviews lined up for the future?
@@MonkeyButtRides yes looking forward to 2023👍🦾💚🔥💥👊
Nothing like a nice new roundy boy to turn in well, so adding that profile makes a lot of sense once it fits :)
I don't mean to alarm you but there was snow on the ground 🤢 I agree, I was always taught it's more better to use LESS of the tyre on the street. Tracks are different yes. More fun :P I miss the track.
We need to meet halfway somewhere! I wish I could get mitas tyres here tbh, I really did like them a lot. Never failed me. I also need to get tyre irons as the cost to swap them here is mental in the shop. Nice video amigo
What is the cost to swap tires at the shop back home?
Yo what's good. Great tires. I had the Power 5s on my GSXR1000r. I have the road 6 on my Busa though.
SALUTE
Thanks bro, hope all is well in Tucson! You removed your vids from your channel.
@@MonkeyButtRides Yeah man I was gonna quit RUclips. Been debating it since august. SO I decided to rebrand instead. I'm in Goodyear more closer to Phoenix. Tucson is about 2 hours south of me though.
Got my brand new 2023 all-black Hayabusa coming this Wednesday (I am in England). Unfortunately the weather isn't playing ball here as it's -8 and we still have snow lying in places.....already planning my first long trip out (to the Pyrenees mountains of Northern Spain)...woohoo......
That sounds so exciting, the new bike and the trip! It's been cold here, haven't rode any of my bikes in weeks.
Great to see you out and about on the bike mate 🤘
To be fair mate they are holding up very well, definitely still got life in them 🤘
Save the chicken strip talk for the track, no point trying to achieve them on the street, just gonna put yourself and others in danger.
Looking forward to the track day buddy 🤘
Great video mate, hope you’re doing well fella 🤘
Thanks and same to you sir, eagerly awaiting bike reveal 😊👍
@@MonkeyButtRides Very soon 🤘
Exactly too much risk in low siding when trying to get rid of chicken strips on the streets.
Soz not been very active recntly mate. Ace to see you out on a bike though 🙂
I had the Michelin Road 5 tyres on my Street Triple. I do like Michelin road tyres, not tried any of their super sporty tyres of recent times though.
I hope you can get it out on track, be ace to see that vid! 🙂
Ah, no worries hope you are well Pete!
@@MonkeyButtRides all good mate ty 🙂
Upgrade for the front brakes on the Busa. Brembo front brake master cylinder....makes a difference. Great information on the tires.
Good advice! Can't really go wrong with Brembo!
They look like they are holding up really well so far!! I might look into that 200 on my next set.
I don't worry about chicken strips either. I'm not out to impress anyone. And like you said, doing that leaves no wiggle room for anything.
Good video man!!
Thanks KG! They are great tires so far, I think I will get the same or more mileage then I did with the S22's but I have a feeling the Dunlop Q3+'s are still going to be king for dry performance and longevity, we shall see!
Glad to read a comment from someone regarding chicken strips. I couldn't care less if I end up with squared off tyres as I never bought any of the 'Busa's I have owned to impress anyone, least of all myself. For me they are the epitome of a mile-munching long-distance touring bike. Never had my knee down, never going to.
@@BibtheBoulder Yep! The only place I would even attempt to put my knee down is on the track. And I would have a lot of training to do before that happens! 😂
@@KODEGREY Out of interest, I am planning a summer tour on my new gen 3 from England to Spain. Have you covered any significant distance on yours yet? If so, any rough idea to the max miles in a day it is comfortable to try for? I am aiming to do roughly 1,000 miles in 2 days which I think is within the 'I can do it' zone...
@@BibtheBoulder I ride a 2021 CBR1000 RR. I actually never had the pleasure of riding a Busa. The most miles I've done on my bike in a day is around 350. I was ok, but ready to take a break. From what I understand, the Busa has a more comfortable riding position than my bike, so I would guess you could do more than I have without too much effort.
I have the road pilot 6’s on the Griso. They are fantastic tyres. Review coming soon.
I will be interested in what you have to say on the pilot 6's!
i got put off michellin after the Road 3 or 4 cant remember now but 4 punctures in less than 2 months and last was a stick
Wow, that's a shit ton of punctures.
@MONKEY-BUTT i couldn't believe it hey. I saw after that there had been world wide reports on the whole tread tearing off of the carcass
When they were first marketing this Busa, I seem to recall the PR claiming something to the effect that the original equipment Bridgestone tires were developed especially for this bike.
Is there a reason why I wouldn’t want to stick with OEM tires?
The S22 was introduced 2-3 years (early 2019) before the 22 Busa came out so I don't believe the PR claim is true but maybe the gen3 was in development for that long I just find it hard to believe. That said, the S22 is a great tire, I got over 5k miles with them and they perform well. Nothing wrong with sticking to OEM.
Tracer 900 için bu lastiği önerir misin? Yoksa road 4 mü kullanmalıyım? P5 ler kaç bin km sürüç yapabilir?
Not sure how to translate that into English. Sorry.
I feel as though sport bike riders place way more focus on tyres than cruiser riders… I guess the reasons are obvious?! 😉✌️
Never really thought about it but I think you are probably right.
