Like the look of the Astell .. but I'm looking for a very portable DAP, so the sony is the way to go.. i would lime to have more money to pick booth and use the sony on the street and gym and use the AK at home .. but i will have to chose
You'll get great sound with both just a little more volume with A&K but at a price.

Just curious if you're having issue with playing through Bluetooth connection on NW-A306? Mine always stutter as if it's having unstable connection, even on Sony's own XM5 headset.
Do you think it's fixable with software update?

No problem with nw-a306 here, what earbuds are you using? OH is it low on power when this happens? On my Sony Xperia 1 V I've noticed some issues when its under 10% and the phone goes into power saving mode. You may want to check to see if the NW-A306 has some power setting thats effecting your earbuds. I would do all the updates. Hello, which player (Astell & Kern SA700 -Astell Kern Kann Alpha- Astelle A&Norma SR25)has the better sound, i.e., bass, treble, voices, speech, the best package ebend. I would be very happy to receive a few tips. My best wishes and stay healthy

Both players will power most headphones well and sound great. Used both as simular in price (with in $100 or so) but new I believe Alpha was the more expensive feature rich unit. But again either choice is a good one. I do like the look of the Astelle A&Norma SR25.

The NW-A306 on ebay top 3 listings 238, 238 used and 344 new - A&K Alpha used 338, 443, 412. Its like a used A&K Alpha or new Sony. Both great choices.
Are they both Bluetooth compatible?
Yes
