It wil cloakup your canister filters whit easy for more maintenance and fuckup your bacteria even more, so good for Fish health hey ? common buy a decent filter and set it up right, clean your gravel or substrate in the tank often whit a hose that suck all that muck and dirt out of the tank in a basket or just give it to the garden/room plants… they love it ! those nitrates and fosfates good for there grow !

It may be, that it filters fine particles. (btw: Of course, it can not make any bacterial algea blooms disappear!)
What really bothers me is
a) that the fibers of the balls hair like a long-haired dog
b) the supplied net is too small to "distribute" the balls in the net to a square area of 20x20 cm
c) The net snaps during normal movements to adjust it into the square shape of the Eheim exterior filter
....but the worst thing is
d) finest hair of the filter balls find their way through 1. the net and 2. the plastic sieve on top. Ergo: very annoying !! 🤬 My half-beaked female has a fiber (No, not a gill fluke!) stuck in the gill! : (((: ((((
