Snoezelen room creates calming environment: Shayla Guralski’s story

Shayla Guralski has a complicated medical history and is susceptible to getting sick or developing infections that result in numerous hospital admissions.
Bubble tubes, fiber optic lights and soft colors may look something out of the future. These features create a Snoezelen room, a multi-sensory environment to help calm and reduce agitation. A Snoezelen room visit helped Shayla become calm and feel safe during one stay at Marshfield Children’s Hospital. Learn how her family used these features to help Shayla at home.
