Mental and emotional health are SO important just like physical health. I wish everyone had the resources, the support, the knowledge EVERYTHING to talk about their issues. It would not make for a soft society it would make for a healthy one.

It takes 1/250 of a second to load a gun, it took police 2 hours to summon the courage to enter the building. I will keep my right to defend myself and my family.

I don’t get why we have the second amendment. I think owning a gun should be a privilege just like having a driver’s license is. Also, I absolutely agree with this girl. The assault weapons need to be banned.
Unreasonable gun fans seem to miss that they are pushing the country towards seeing the second amendment as a dysfunctional part of an overwise helpful and resilient constitution. The 18th amendment (prohibition) similarly became dysfunctional, so the 21st amendment abolished prohibition. If we cannot get an assault weapons ban and common sense gun regulations that protect public safety, we might have to work on an amendment that puts safety first and enshrines gun safety in the constitution. Okay, Congress, get to work. New laws or new amendments. It's a lot of work, but keeping school children and other innocent people alive is worth it.
