Tekken 8 seems to definitely be cracking down on constant CH launchers and just launchers in general. Tekken 8 seems to be a lot more neutral heavy, and long high damage combos require resources now as apposed to before where you can regularly get 60-80 damage pretty much for free.
Tekken 8 is trying to buff poking and aggression vs just spacing and keep putt. Before poking was so risky due to 11fr CH launcher and low parry. Why would I risk a 10damage 13fr low which makes me -2 on hit when I can get low parried or magic 4’d for 60+ damage? Makes no sense. Now they’re wanting u to be way more aggressive and in your face with heat dash and heat smash allowing for combo extensions to a multitude of moves. But imo I don’t think it’s gonna change much for the pros they’re still gonna play super safe 😂😂
It's great Namco leaned into Bryan's taunt shenanigans. Not only does it make his gameplay more distinct from the rest of the roster but it also fits his antagonistic/threatening design theme.

Well, they could do the TJU-exclusive 100% scaling then, I believe it possibly can resolve the balancing concerns while giving hardcore Bryan enthusiasts their deserved reward. Maybe even make it some fancy justframe cancel with extra damage and visuals.

At least for Lee, I’m assuming that since the Mishima has the property to get instant electric but consume the heat bar, I think Lee in heat his Acid Rain would also be the same, where there’s a bigger time frame to input it so completely use it in the cost of his heat bar

I mean another reason why I think they had to nerf taunt is because of the button set ups now allow you to input 1+3+4 in one button which bryan mains didn't like because now everyone can do the taunt.

My point is... are yal even using that move so consistently that it would completely ruin your gameplay to not have it? it's more of a "mandatory" move depending on the situation. It can open your enemies up on the wall using taunt setups but overall you can play him without it

I main him it's not exactly mandatory but it's a really good mind game for some of Bryan's frame data it's more like our very own 50 50 and it's way more consistent the higher you go once you get to tg most if not all Bryan's attempt taunt With that being said it seems like bryan has alot of fast moves now so the need for it is reduced so I personally don't mind as much but especially for a fak guard break considering his wall pressure already.
In T7 taunt (especially taunt jet upper) to Bryan is like a Perfect Electric to Kazuya both are high execution moves for a newbie. You can win without it but watch out, Bryan's who can pull off taunt consistently deal far more damage and are more dangerous than those who can't. Look at Mr. Naps or Knee if you want to see Bryan gameplay.
@lucastonoli3256 I didn't say that it couldn't be countered. But the point of a panic button is to be able to pull it off fast and hopefully hit your opponent with it, and orbital doesn't really fit that idea. To be honest 3+4 was more of a panic button move, but it doesn't even knock down now.

Bryan is unquestionably top 5 in the beta’s current build, all things considered. If TJU retained its original scaling it really would’ve been stupidly busted, as highlighted by TMM. Also, does anyone know in detail how to do his new blue spark Fisherman slam? That shit looked nuts 😂! But I’m super excited to get my hands on T8 Bryan later down the line. Always been one of my favorite characters in the game.
from what i know you input f2 once u get the first hit with fisherman. u can try spamming f2 and it'd work but it's more consistent if you just frame f2 once it hits
well if you look at TMM's Tekken8 Bryan combos compilation i think he himself did a combo off of the new fisherman slam it was at 1:38 of that video, not this one obviously
So... Snake eyes is a Claudio mechanic..? Bryan seems strong, but from what I've seen, Hwoarang and Claudio look the s tiers in the beta test so far. Kazuya has one busted string and Jin a busted low.
It seems like a lot of the characters are eating well in T8. looks like there is a lot of crazy stuff we will see how they decide to balance it I am a fan of the more aggressive gameplay as long as it's not brain dead bullshit.
Been practicing tju for years and and landing it almost 60 to 70 percent its really awesome especially if it landed on online.. but this nerf is okay still even i main bryan for years this is a new game we should atleast have a different playstyle on each character per game plus not all people depend on taunts.. i think this is buff on bryan since he does have alot of tools to maximize.. sad thou magic is gone lol but that df23 and unblock its preety much tju on walls 🤣

Yea I think scaling is a necessity in this game but it feels kinda aggressive so far. Taunt will still be a very strong tool anyway, it's gonna force ppl to have to consider mashing against bryan at -15 in a heat engager situation
Can somebody explain how in the world do we have a fighting game and everybody on the roster knows some type of fighting style or martial arts and your supposed to protect your self at all times but some how theirs unblockables in the game I don't get it . I think it's stupid and completely unnecessary 🤷🏾♀️

and you can basically recover health back after those big combos too if you get em right back
Those "resources" are stil gained once in every round which guarantees pulling off one big combo every round

Honestly the taunt nerf is fine. Losing an unscaled taunt jet upper for unblockable snake eyes install is well worth it

I've seen some people enter a challenge mode in the beta, or I believe there's no matchmaking. It's just the ranked practice mode stage.

They removed it to make the heat system easier to understand. Now the heat burst just gives you less meter than an engager would.
