My wife and I have the same exact debates. She tried to get rid of my lazy boy too after the living room remodel. Its even a nicer one that doesnt look like crap. It doesn't match the living room now that we repainted and put down new flooring. It ended with, if you dont like it get a lazy boy that matches. My semi kills my back and thats my one comfort.

Cavey Möth he said in a WAN show quite some time ago that a lot of no longer used items are sold at a discount via silent auction to his employees. Some stuff is given away because it can’t legally be sold, and stuff that isn’t sold to employees or given away is sold on Craigslist/Facebook marketplace for fair market value

It doesn't cost that much to change the fabric, it is honestly the best solution, they'll have thousands of fabrics to choose from and not just the limited "safe" to market fabrics. Furniture textile is like modern car colors, bland, because the manufacturers know they can sell it, and the fewer options you give the more money you save.

@@DangLemons they seem to have jumped up to 30 fps from 24 a while ago (~2 years back) from re-watching their old video's, those look just jarring, if he'd move a hand, a blur would follow it for a long line, these days I at least don't see that. Still would appreciate 60 fps though :/ Come on Linus, you have many Petabytes of storage, what's 2x the space for a video worth? ;)
@@BlitheFenics they record in 8k, so they can edit in 4k propely, they can zoom in and not lose any quality, effects have more pixel data to go on and look a lot nicer, etc... And they have uploaded an 8k video I think, my PC wasn't happy about it with 40% cpu usage though .___. Launched 2 at once and jumped to 90%, ouch.... If 8K is the future, I'm not sure any casual phone can run it ^^'....

Yup, chairs are for sitting on not looking at. I've yet to find furniture that doesn't have exactly disproportionate levels of aesthetics and comfort. Lazy Boy for the win.

Looks good and glad you didn't put the TV over the fireplace as many would. I love having a soundbar too, it's a good simple elegant solution and is worlds better than the built-in TV speakers.

I love my sound bar. It replaced speakers, wires, receiver, etc. and sounds really good.
Ive tried so many and couldnt do it. I tried to at least go with one for our bedroom setup and went with a 2.2 bookshelf setup with my old denon x4700h and svs pb2000
I tried so many high end sound bars and none came even remotely close. esp for the price a decent set of bookshelves set up properly killed them( kef ls50 metas)
My living room is ascend acoustics seirra towers with the raal ribbon tweeter for my mains with their center speaker and then seirraex bookshelfs for surrounds and i cheaped out on my in ceiling speakers since they really arent used that often . and 3 18 inch mini marty subs. Sounds better than the IMAX I went to last week for batman which made me never want to go to a theater again.
I wish I could like soundbars but theyre soo expensive for a decent one and the same price in a 2.1 setup will kill it.

I'm deeply discomforted by the fact that Linus didn't use a level when mounting his wall mount.
It's not always the best idea though. I used a level for my curtain rods and they still looked crooked. Upon further inspection, I found that the WINDOWS themselves were not even level because my house isn't level.
Kept with the letter of the rules, but totally not the spirit...
He probably did it as part of the magic of making videos. (:
Wall mount had the integrated bubble level (pretty sure)
I use a level, but some times have to go with the wall not being straight, so adjust accordingly, otherwise, the tv will look off level

At 4:20, you said what I was thinking, peel the protection film off last and not first. Also, I have to believe that LG expects Linus to use the supplied flush TV mount, otherwise, using a wall mount that allows tipping the top of the TV down for proper viewing would be the way to go. Ideally, the middle of the TV screen should be at eye level, and perpendicular to the viewer, or picture brightness can decrease significantly. Setting the TV on the newly assembled TV/Component stand would be close to the correct viewing height, and a hell of a lot easier.
