Tim you remind me a lot of my brother. He recently went off to college so I don’t see him as much. We always used to play zombies together and a lot of the time if just watch him lol. glad someone else noticed, I made sure to blow all my points chasing it down in the box for that exact reason

Bootlegger in bo3?
I would consider PPSh one of the best guns across all of zombies. Only downside is during high rounds. Absurd rate of fire, solid reload speed, good damage plus high ammo count really makes this thing brutal. Then throw in the fast movement speed. You ask how fast the gun goes, and PPSh says brrr!
I still have the 360 version of waw and if I pack that gun, it sometimes makes the game lag😂

Hell the PM63 returned in Cold War. Albeit it’s now in the sidearms pistol category. The best part is it’s on the top 10 weapons in the game. That thing fucking shreds in Zombies AND multiplayer. Talk about a comeback story.
The ppsh isn't that good in zombie tho

IW and WWII had some of the best SMGs in zombies, honestly Cold War does too but I understand not covering a lot of them since they're pretty grindy to unlock.
Well tim wouldn't know how good some of the weapons were in cold war because he never gave it a chance, that's why I just don't watch anything he says about cold war, its legitimately the second best zombies game behind bo3, bo3 had a slightly better engine but cold war had slightly better mechanics so its pick and choose, and even the story was pretty good in cold war as well but Tim didn't make an effort to find any of the like 200 pieces of Intel so he just calls it lazy, when hes the lazy one for not playing the game

@@jev8665 except if you actually played the game it would take you 5 minutes to find the intel any time they added new ones, and plus it was rewarding to find them all because it told a story with a lot of depth

Just letting you know. The AK-74U or actually called the AKS-74U irl is classified as an Assault Rifle, not an SMG. Why? It’s shoots a rifle caliber chamber in 5.45 x 39mm which is the same round used in the AK-74 variant. Unless if it was an SMG, it would’ve been chamber in a 9mm, .45ACP, .40S&W, 10mm, etc. you get the deal

its actually not a Type100, It is based on Sten
Buddy, friend, chum, pal, bro, sis, comrade, dude, dudette, that is not a type 100. That is a Sten, a British SMG that fires 9mm rounds, same caliber as the MP40. This was done so that captured German ammunition could be used.

The 74u is one of my favorite weapons. It has a massive headshot multiplier and I have multiple memories of playing Black ops 1 and getting a death machine and having it be several times less effective at killing them in higher rounds

The Bootlegger is based off of a sten mk2 while the type 100 is a Japanese clone of the Bergmann MP18. The Sten was initially cut content from the British leg of the COD WAW campaign funny enough, reappears briefly in the black ops mission Nova 6, then oddly enough as a multiplayer only weapon in AW. Then again as a multiplayer and zombies only weapon in BO3.

Fun fact: An SMG is not defined by it's size. It has to do with the caliber of bullet, they use a sub-caliber bullet. Like how the Thompson is relatively large compared to other SMGs, but it's in .45 Auto.
(Also the one on Shadows is pretty much just the Sten)
the XM177 was categorized as an smg by the U.S. too even though it was chambered in .223
Type 100 and PPSH and MP40 all made a return in COD Vanguard, not tht we count that as a zombies game but it is a fact

It still baffles me that the PDW and AN-94 were wall weapons but the Chicom and SMR were in the box.
I like the idea that you can get the Ray Gun or the SMR out of the box for the same price. One of my only gripes with BO3 is that there's really no downside to the box, you either get a good gun or a great gun.

I'm actually very partial to the BO1 Mp40. It always felt like that was the gun to get if I wanted to get past the dogs. And it feels so meaty, and powerful to shoot.

Afaik the type 100 didnt inspire the bootlegger. The bootlegger was inspired by the sten, a british SMG from WWII put together to be as cheap as possible and was given to vehicle drivers if they got a primary at all. It was used by ground solders but wasn't regarded as the best gun to be given during the war.
