@@santiagodavila1426 It’s a 25 mi trail one way, I haven’t driven a quad, so I’m not a good judge of how much ground you can cover. A group of 6 Jeeps took us 4 hours one way. Maybe you can do quicker.
There is an entrance road to Crown King between Wilhoit and Yarnell I went on less than 15 years ago. It didn't get rocky like going through a stream, but lots cliff driving. Had to fill gulleys in the road to drive across. Could see Lake Pleasant towards the end. Too narrow to turn back. Could never find the entrance again. There used be a sign off 89. Tried it through Groom Creek. Don't know where the road goes.
@@billhurley6286 I know what you are talking about. A few weeks coming back from Yarnell I notice a road going into the hills just before the turn to Kirkland. I've been looking for roads closer to Yarnell. I didn't imagine it was so close to where you turn to go to Kirkland. Thanks.
Great Video!!!!Did this in my IH Scout 800 with a 152ci twice about 10 and 15 years ago. I would like to know, has the trail gotten easer or harder over the years??
It changes year to year depending on how much rain and flooding changes the route.....FJ60 fuel injection locked rear axle SM465/ granny low 1st and 33 muds no problem at all.
I'm not sure how complete cell coverage along the entire trail, probably good at the beginning and end, spotty at higher elevations. The bypasses are easily visible, once you start pass the first mine (7:09) there are no bypasses. You might be able to find a gpx track with the waypoints for the "hard" sections.
All of the obstacles in the beginning have a bypass, there is a rock crawling section by the Oro Belle Mine that you must go through, might need lockers there (or stack rocks). Would make it a long day if you had to turn around there. Trails can change, year to year, erosion can fill trail in making it easier, or take dirt away exposing more of the rock.
Frank i just want to thank you once again for such a awesome and incredible video. For doing this risky adventure i mean super risky. Pretty much risking your life for all of our viewing pleasures. Wow , just incredible. I find myself to keep coming back to this incredible video. Unbelievable you survived. Just awesome/
Tacoma's have good ground clearance, all of the obstacles in the beginning of the trail have a bypass. The hardest section is rock garden by the "mine" that you have to drive thru, a locker could be helpful (just in case). There is room to turn around, if you need to.

Thanks, glad you liked the video.
How long or how many hours from lake pleasant to crow king? I’m going tomorrow taking my quad.
5 hours

Been a while since i have done this but i do not remember that long water section near structures at all...
Man, I made that trip dozens of times on dirt bikes as a kid. Brings back a ton of memories.
Im planning to go on a dirtbike for the first time. I am fairly new at riding. If i stay on the smooth dirt road, is it pretty easy all the way up?
The fact i made it in a 2wd toyota 4runner of a/t tires just baffles me right out of high school and clueless to offroading baffles me to this day.
Trail just looks sketchy on camera and it’s been washed out really bad this past couple years

Do you think I can do this trail with my full size Silverado? Perhaps without pin striping when avoiding the obstacles?
If you have 4-wheel drive, you should be OK, could bring something to trim the branches ;-)
