  • Join us on this eventful journey as we navigate through the challenges of haying season. In this exciting RUclips video, we embark on a ride with Arnie to assess the condition of our freshly cut hay, which unfortunately got rained on. Will it still be suitable for our sheep, or will it have to be discarded?
    While exploring the fields, we take the opportunity to showcase the different varieties of grasses that make up our hay mixture. Discover the fascinating world of hay production and learn about the importance of grass diversity in providing optimal nutrition for our livestock.
    But that's not all! As we make our way back home, we stumble upon an unexpected surprise - a Dorset lamb breakout! Witness the chaos as we find the fence knocked over and adorable lambs freely wandering around the yard. Join us in unraveling the mystery behind this unexplainable event.
    Throughout this captivating video, we also take a moment to observe the progress of the adjacent corn and soybean crops, providing insights into the diverse agricultural practices on our farm.

    Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Looks like the hitch hiking worked. It was that amazing smile and cuteness. Boy the rain has been unrelenting there and here too. I didn’t realize how many different types of grasses that there are. Yup Arnie does get excited but he does like telling about the whys and wherefores. Wow Timothy is like a fuzzy grass. Well he loved the compliment for sure. 💪💪. Moron??😂😂😂😂😂. Escapees. Saw an opening and went for it. They talked together and decided with you gone time for an adventure. The boys love love attention. And he is an adorable ram. Thanks for taking us along today. Always fun fun. Big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    It must be so much fun riding around on that machine! I wish that you didn't lose so much good hay. The corn looks pretty good. That heat wave coming sounds serious. I hope that you guys stay cool! The baby beans look great. Learning about the different types of grass that makes up the hay is very interesting . It was funny when you said yee haw lol! Those sheep managed to escape, too bad about the gate. Aww, Spartacus and his friends are looking so good, too bad about the fighting lol. I love how you and Arnie joke around together, you have good chemistry. I just love the connection that you share with your sheep, it's easy to see. Aww, Moron was the perfect sheep to end the video with, he is sooo cute! The still photos of the farm are beautiful too. Thank you so much for another great episode, see you tomorrow! ❤🐑

    I didn’t think Arnie was yelling about the different types of grasses. He would fit right in with my family’s voice level as we all make sure everyone can hear us especially since some of the family is hard of hearing from all the years of being around loud equipment. How much would it cost to get an Arnie flex? Maybe we could all pitch in! LOL

    Oh, and hitchhiking. Those were the days. My dad said if I ever did such a thing, he’d disown me. Too many motorcycle gang riders hiding out in an abandoned theme park about 2 minutes from our house, which was well in the country. They were bad, had ties to the city about a half hour from our home. Let’s just say, they ended up murdering two people before the gang ran out of the country.
    I don’t know why I share so much about my life on here, but, I do. I feel like Ewetopia Farms is family.

      I'm so glad you feel comfortable enough to share personal stuff with us! I like to think that all us regulars or "Ewetopians" are family. I do find that even as I unconsciously say things, memories are triggered, too. Hitchhiking was a common thing when I was growing up. We knew we weren't supposed to do it, but I was a bit of a rebel, so I did my share of hitchhiking. It all ended the day I took a ride from a van full of guys. They asked me where I was headed when I got in, and my response was "Heart's Desire" ! The looks on their faces made me realize that if you lived in a subdivision called Hearts Desire, hitching a ride probably wasn't a good idea!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Hi, Lynn. Moron is a good-looking ram, for sure. And if he really is a son of Hilton, you know he has at least one R and has a decent shot at being RR. I'm just not wild about the fact he's a triplet. I probably mentioned it before, but back in 1970, my aunt and uncle purchased a triplet ram for stud. They kept back a bunch of his daughters. Those daughters turned out to be MAJOR triplet machines. But you haven't noticed anything with Gladiator's daughters being triplet machines, so perhaps my aunt and uncle's experience was just a fluke.
    It's such a shame about the hay. (Meant to say something about that yesterday.) What about the neighbor who has cattle? Perhaps he'd be willing to take it off your hands at a significantly reduced price? (Please forgive me if that's a dumb question.)

    • @EwetopiaFarms
      @EwetopiaFarms  4 дня назад +1

      Yes, we haven't had those triplet issues. I would notice if it was a problem because you know how I feel about triplets!😁 We gave some hay away. We baled up that rained on new seeding alfalfa mix and went to all the farmers in the neighborhood and offered already cut and baled hay for free. No takers!😌 101 bakes are sitting in the bush now😪

      @@EwetopiaFarms bummer, because it would be nice to get 2 birds with one stone for you. Like if it couldn't feed sheep at least it could feed itself and save you hassle and cost of having to bake it and move it. We have a modified riding lawnmower that sometimes we mow down the field in the fall and let it sit over winter. It has 2 gator blades that have been laser cut that sit together to make an x shape and it leaves nothing but small particles of grass which break down and help keep moisture in the field. I got tired of burning the field in the spring.
