The ford is my favourite by a long way. Much more fun to drive and more of a man's tractor. The modern stuff leaves me cold and the tw can often be repaired in the field with a few hand tools instead of a laptop and very costly electric parts..
The TW25 out weights the new tractor mainly due to it being all metal, including the hood vs all the new stuff of today. Less electronics to fail too. I prefer the older tractors over the new ones of today. Still a good comparison though, Cheers :)
especially when some parts for the newer tractors are expensive. neighbour had to geta new switch for the engine of a JD 6920.The thing is the same size as a finger and costed nearly €2000
Exactly, which is just another reason I love the older equipment. Not near as costly as the new stuff when things "break". Guess I'm old school when it comes to farming. Cheers :)
The TW has two weights (333kg each) on the inside of the rear cast wheel centres, I can't remember the weight of them, but they are about 200kg that is how the TW is over a tonne heavier.
Love TW's alot of memeories as a kid biggest weakness of them was the Linkage. Sadly though if you doing alot of long range roadwork they arent much use now adays and the people calling NewHolland crap compared to Ford musnt have experienced the difference when working long hours in the same seat comfort helps and higher speeds mean more work done plus better fuel consumption. You cant live in the past all your life
Am I wrong or does the Ford TW25 not have a lot less than 180hp, maybe 25hp less.... not really a fair comparison, brought back a lot of memories though....
@@jamesruane7744 it's only the torque that increases with boost.Hp is a direct function of rpm and as this is governed to a set maximum the engine will not exceed it to increase hp.The quoted 180 is the max for that engine irrespective of increase in boost. The increase in boost and by implication fuelling only happens when engine is loaded down out off its happy operating range ie probably when rpm drops below 1100 or 1200 revolutions.
thats when ya had to know how to drive a tractor and fix it to keep the show going . And that's why wages and profits have been going through the floor ...
older tractors are way better than lots of new ones for example a new Holland my friends dad has, has 103 up and our ford 7610 series 2 has 100hp however the new Holland struggles to pull a bailey bale trailer, but our ford can pull an articulated trailer up a steep hill no bother. new Holland =shite
That has actually happened to me ones, I didn't run out completely but there was little to no AdBlue left and when the AdBlue is almost empty the tractor smokes a lot darker than the tw did. (if the tractor draws heavy for a second or two)
Love the old fords! TW-20 featured in our next video, keep up good work!

Gimme the Ford anyday. The mafia can keep their electrified pieces of plastic.

shame ye didn't show more of the T-Dub drawing in a load of grass and tipping. be cool to see more of these with different brands
I agree, the vid was a bit one sided in that respect.
Good comparison enjoyed it do a few more like this pls
T dub has very heavy rear wheels and was built to last as long as it has 😀
'It's a bit noisy in here compared to the t6'.maybe be that's to do with the fact you got the back window open.........
tony Green ye I saw the lower window open too.
Did many hours on our properties in Australia in our 9600, that thing pulled like a train.
Very nice, please do more of the TW against other brands
can ye do more videos like this
Should of put them in a tug-of-war together to see which one can out pull the other one.
Ez win for the t dub
Really ?,larger tires + more weight on ford ,how can he not win ?.

You cant live in the past all your life
Looks an sound : old but if your in one all day everyday new. Goes without saying
I can live in the past and i will!
we have the t6155 and shes a 6cylinder but she is 2015
do a ford 4000 vs a 4610 ford
Life is boring with new tractor. Everything is so way easier and has no challenges unlike old and beautiful ones
nice video
I love the tw it looks angryer
The ford should do quite a bit over 30 with 650/65 on there, thats like a full 4-5 inches in height increase over stock
The TW is a mean work horse...Too bad the dont make that quality anymore :-(
complaining of air conditioning :/
take the jumper off and then you won't need it
Henry McConnell i was thinkin the same thing
I was thinking that to
What did it cost to restore it back to that condition
Take the Ballast of the TW and it would weigh the same as the T6-180 I reckon.
Shame we couldn’t hear that straight 6 in that TW 😟
Both nice
What are the curved rods inside the wheels of the TW25 for?
king of the world To set the wheels out for row crop.

The NH is only 180 when the boost is on. The tw is 160 hp. I suppose the gear box on the t6 saps more power too.

Was the camera man a dwarf?

Give me the TW any day
ya great video
no offence but a 7610 would do just as good lol,,stick a plough on them in a wet field and see
good ol ford
The tw is a carlow reg number
Gordon Minchin that because the owners is from there
Tw 25 anyway 👍👍👍👍🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
So no review on the tw driving or tipping 😐
Tw all the way
Perry's of army are out of business now
if it ant blue it won't do
If your complaining about the air-con in the tw, take your bloody jacket off man!
FORD The Best
That t6 is a range command
older tractors are way better than lots of new ones for example a new Holland my friends dad has, has 103 up and our ford 7610 series 2 has 100hp however the new Holland struggles to pull a bailey bale trailer, but our ford can pull an articulated trailer up a steep hill no bother. new Holland =shite
Tw 💪
In my opinion, nothing runs like a Deere
Pokeanut 12 nothin runs like a Deere being chased by a ford
8:23 I think the tw is out of add blue hahahahahaha
That has actually happened to me ones, I didn't run out completely but there was little to no AdBlue left and when the AdBlue is almost empty the tractor smokes a lot darker than the tw did. (if the tractor draws heavy for a second or two)
Ford very best
