I use the frixion erasable pens. You can get a multipack of all different colors on Amazon and the have a great super fine tip. I love the erasability to accommodate changes in my schedule without scratch outs or white out
I LOVE the Ink Joys, so was really surprised that you didn't like them. I would use the Ink Joys in just my every day life I like them so much! Great video though to see all the differences in pens.
Totally understand the "don't like how the tips feel on the paper". Would you compare the inkjoy with uniball vision pens? I can never write well with those but my mum loves them. Personal preference is huge when it comes to pens I guess. I think the stiff tips help ground my writing better so it comes out neater....I tend to scribble things down to fast and a ball point doesn't help rein me in at all!
This video was so helpful! I just started using my HP and have only tried the inkjoy gel pens and to be honest I'm not crazy over them. So, I was wanting to try something different and seeing how they all write is great. Thank you!
The Costco kit Happy Planner pens write similar to the Planner Basics line, but the black ink is a little more brownish (if that makes sense). The pink and the blue pens actually write in pink and blue. The felt tip is the same size.
Oh, the recollections pens look like the staedtler triplus fineliner! I think those are really similar to the mambi pens and they have fantastic colors!
Tombow dual-tipped are great for coloring and watercolor effects -- there are used a lot in card making. :) Colors can be blended too. Tip too soft for brush lettering imo. The prismacolor dual tipped, like sharpies are alcohol based markers - that's why they bleed thru almost all types of paper. You have to use cardstock -- usually at least 100# weight in order for the alcohol marker to not bleed thru :)
This video was really helpful thank u for it! I like to use the frixtion pens and I actually like the sharpie pens. I havnt had a problem with bleeding at all! I have a homebody classic planner .
I really liked your prismacolor recommendation a while back. Now I'm liking the tombows again, but I agree the soft tip is way better for writing in a planner than the regular one. I feel like the dual brush pen is great if you're writing big though! I also like the kuretake ones I've tried so far!
Great video! I'm also not a fan of the gel pens. One of my favorite pens for my planner are the staedtler triplus fineliner pens this one are very similar to the recollection pens but to me the staedtler pens are softer to write with and this don't bleed and last for ever! btw, love your handwriting :) this year I want to learn more about brush lettering do you have any websites or books you recommend for a total newbie?

YES !!! The recollections ultrafine tip are AMAZING!!!!!!

Thank you for saying that about the tombow. I gave up on them
I have bought every single pen on your list! Lol love your videos🤗
Your brush lettering looks great to me! I notice you hold your pen completely different for brush lettering.
Yes! I hold it more at an angle to help with the transition between up and down strokes!
Great video! Your handwriting is so nice!
I was wondering if you have done a layout with just using your pens and markers? I found videos where you talk about pens.
Hi Heather. What white gel pen do you use?
Great video! I'm also not a fan of the gel pens. Thanks for this! Lots of good info!!!
My favorites are the Staedtler Triplus Fineliner 0.3mm. 🤓
Ha!! I use the Papermate Flair too!!!!
Is the mambi pen like a staedtler fineliner? Also is it a felt tip pen?
The papermate flair, r they ultra fine or medium?
Darra Garcia the papermate flair comes in 3 different sizes: thin, medium, and the bigger one. I just bought a medium size pack last night 😂😂
Oh and she uses medium, it's perfect for the happy planner
enjoyed
