exactmdog65 I think that it it's Deen, the drummer backing up Arnel there..he's got that kind of high pitched voice as well. If you listen to him doing 'Mother, Father' solo you'll recognize his voice...

Born on January 22, 1949 in Hanford, California, Perry is of Portuguese heritage. Journey moved on and released Revelation, which is now certified platinum (at least 1M sales) by the RIAA. I have Journey's Escape, Trial By Fire, and Greatest Hits albums. I moved on and so I have Revelation album. Perry is now 60 and left Journey way back in 1996. He, too, move on!

I don't understand this issue re accent. The Beatles has accent, as are all British rock bands like the Rolling Stones, etc. Scorpions, being Germans, has accent. Air Supply, being Australians, has accent. Julio Iglesias, a Spaniard, has accent. But is it a hindrance for them gaining international fame? In the USA, Country singers like Garth Brooks, etc. have accent different from, say an R&B singer, like Luther Vandross, etc., all Americans . So basically what accent are we speaking of here?
I think I consider myself as language literate, did linguistics and know various so called "English accents" from same one country and from other different English language countries. I don't hear any peculiar accents in all the singers like the Beatles, Queen, U2 et al as having different accents. It's still English.
I don't want to put down Eheads because they have a lot of Filipino fans but when you go to Journey sites putting them down is a little to much. Eheads are locals and they are good and well loved in PI but not outside the Phil...sorry.. but Journey is global and they don't need you or the Phil. to earn their keeps..again sorry.. but reality check is in store for you ..but you don't seem to understand how the the world spins..peace!
