This list grew on me more when it came to the command cards you picked, another option is to take out R2 as you don't have any vehicles for him to repair and put in another Phase I squad with the rocket launcher and that way you'll have a little something to deal with vehicles
Eh... The real reason you take R2 is for "Secret Mission" to pad out your victory points. I don't think anyone is taking him to repair stuff. Plus I think trying to move him so he stays alive and get where he needs to be sounds like more fun to me than another unit of guns. There's definitely a discussion there but that's my opinion.
@@ASpooneyBard I've used the little one as a heal bot in a rebel list once also looking at a GAR list with him as a heal bot with two heavies. He has descent healing for the vehicles so he is versatile that way but yeah secret mission has won me so many matches so double trouble with it is a good shout 👍🙂
Honestly in terms of "cool factor" it's still a pretty decent grab in my opinion. Rules change in games, sometimes faster than we can keep up with the hobby. If you are into GAR, this looks cool.
@@Dj_PushStart He loves clone wars so that is why he is getting that faction. He only had the starter set and rex so everything in the box is new to us.
Nothing in the points change really effected Clones in a way that’d make them unfun to play. Basically, Clones got slightly cheaper to run as units, but non-faction upgrades that aggressive Clone lists use went up in points price. Overall, my old Clone lists went up by 5-13 points, but it just means I’ll have to rethink them.
I've always been a fan of just using generic commanders, I love the regular soldiers boots on the ground kinda of feel. I kinda always want to run the Saber Tank with the clones XD Also, never been a fan of mixing Phase 1 and 2 clones XD
Nice list… my favourite to play is close to that, only real difference is I’ll throw Recon Intel on Rex and Mortars on those phase 2’s to blitz the center. Cutting the ARCs and R2 makes a fun Skirmish list as well, when I don’t overreach with Padme and get her killed.
Clones needed a boost and I think they did great! That list with the new points update shows how many troops you can squeeze in 800 points now, sure one unit of phase 1 more aprox
I’m wondering what this means for Rebels since there were no changes for them? Do we get me keywords and reworks? How will the rules affect the factions?
@@Lewismarty1 I’m just getting into it and was hope the Mandos would be the saving grace with Gar Saxon hanging back with the sniper while still being able to have the option with the normal mandos being able to gun sling up close or snipe back if needed with their 3 speed to get in and get out
I would recommend the Arc trooper box as you get enough models in it to run both the full squad and the strike team in the box so two units; another special forces option is the Wookies boxset which give you enough models to make a squad and either have a bow caster in the squad or have it be the Wookie Chieftain commander again technically you get two units in the box; if you play rebels then getting Yoda will give you Chewies republic card, if you get the specialists boxset you'll get a few handy clone phase I personnel upgrades but more importantly the Clone commander that can be handy if you are trying the save points plus can be a good support if you want to run Obi as a more offensive commander. Hope this helps!
If you just want a solid core (and if you can afford it) the 501st Legion Battleforce is also a pretty good addition to the Core set. Between the two boxes, you have Obi Wan and Anakin commanders, 4 corps troops (two of which are Phase IIs), 3 Arc Troopers (which is probably way too many, but that's not the worst thing), an AT-RT, and a Barc Speeder. It's not the most interesting spread, but there's still plenty of potential for experimenting with that selection.
I have most of the Clone stuff (sans the Wookiee wave) and found this helpful. There aren't really a lot of newer units in this list. I'm very curious how the new rules will affect things!
man, if you're attempting to make a competitive list you must include recon intel on rex (get that scout 2 on 3 units) and aggresive negotiations, literally the best command card you have access to for objective play...
Thanks to the points change I may have to dust off my clones and play them. I just hope the upcoming rules changes give them back their teeth to make them closer to what they were.
does tabletop admiral also update the command cards and upgrade cards when you scroll over them?
What's a pirates favorite faction??? gARRRRRR!!!!!
Looks like a fun list, might try it sometime

I am just getting into clones after I learned the game with rebels. I like seeing full clone lists. Thanks for the idea on a list I can play.
Phase 2 cloes were 62 points, they went down by 2
Looks like a fun list, just started collecting Republic and will be giving it a try!
No impact could be a problem. Seeing more Dark Troopers on the horizon. They would absolutly anhilate that list.
Happy holidays to you and you family
So does this make the 501st box better. I got it for my son since mini Market had it for like 95 dollars or so.

This is awesome! Can we expect other lists?

The Clones are still expensive to run
Cool list! Looking forward to seeing what the rule changes are.
New to this game thank for the update
I am looking to play clones again myself! Though I am waiting to see how much they are affected by any rules changes

finally a little more wiggle room with clone lists
I'd love to see clones make a comeback...
Good to see Rex in a list. Doesn't get used very often nowadays
Is there any revealed rules change currently?

I’d be interested in seeing a Shadow Collective list. Feel like they have a very diversified play style
They don’t mate. They’re limited to the fewest unit options in the game which directly results in limited gameplay/strategic options

What's the best way to build off of the core set for republic? I've mostly been focusing on my separatists, but clones look cool

“Good soldiers follow orders”
Clone Phase 2 were 62
I'm a new player and this is helpful with my GaR units

I love clones but can I make an Obi Wan list that will work now?
Looking forward to the live stream.
Is legion in a good place right now?
Looks good, I might tweak it when I use it, add in anakin instead of rex, but it always depends
Nice list but I believe the rule change will make us go back and rethink our favorite list.
That's a lot of clones and I love it. With Bad Batch S2 coming out maybe the Empire will get a p2 card.
How about an actual Bad Batch unit release for GAR / Rebels?
Thanks to the points change I may have to dust off my clones and play them. I just hope the upcoming rules changes give them back their teeth to make them closer to what they were.
Im so excited to see the rules changes, maybe they will add new “battle force” templates for army building?
what do Wampas copst these days?
I find GAR list building to be the hardest. They just don't feel as varied. I get they're clones, but I want some more corps options
I would like to see a separatist list like this
Empire needs somethin new I feel.
Mixing phase 1 and phase 2 just doesn’t feel right to me
