They should make the F1 with slightly bigger handle and 11,5 cm blade. That would be an awesome knife!

"Batoning" which as I can see on this video too, has become no1 must have ability of a knife, has gained it's popularity mainly from most RUclipsrs that have knife channels. Those people are most of the times, businesman, that try to sell or advertise knives through their YT channels. In my and thank God, most people that really know about knives opinion, this "knife batoning" term, has become more of a marketing "selling" factor, rather than what it actually is. Our grandfathers, and most of our fathers, don't even know that kind of knife use and that says a lot. I have to also add, that "batoning" also helps to break your knives faster, actually, it's the only way that you can break a knife. Modern era knifemaking, is all about marketing and how to make big money. I just don't agree with all that nonsense and I like knives that can really cut and slice. Blade geometry, is a factor that most people have been confused about. It,s the thin stock that makes a knife better, not the opposite.

Thin or thick, depends on usage. Thin does not work well in all situations, just because you and your usage might fit that type well.

@@Wastelander13 Glad you agree, I thought I was the only one left! People generaly, are blind these days.People have turned, into something really scary in my opinion. We've lost all our virtues as humans, because we sacrificed everything for money and our ego. We where brought to that point, it didn't happen acciddentally, but that's another story...

you are completely right. many knives today are made to be bought, not used. many are tactical gear designed for taking great instagram photos but not for actual use in the field. often the thickness of the blade is disproportionate. 3mm is enough most of the time. it is better to focus on small productions than large industries that just want to make money through marketing and fantasy.

I like the convex grind at the F1. I don´t like sabre grinds. For me the F1 is perfect for carving and detailed work.

Well the answer to my question: "Which one should I buy?" in under 2:30.
That‘s the way it should be!
    Thank you. 👍

This guy gets it. I use the cheapest morakniv to baton and all other purposes and it serves me well for 10y now.
