Yeah, when you add in their young age and lack of experience with romance, it make sense that they're more affected by Frieren's seduction technique compared to an actual adult like Sein. Also, Fern was more or less raised by Frieren, so watching her pseudo-mom/big sister figure acting flirty for the first time ever was probably a shock.

This show is the first time in literal decades of reading/watching/playing fantasy content when I actually think the priest/cleric characters are actually cool instead of bland. The whole thing about how Heiter and Sein are flawed people with vices makes them more human and further underscores their essential goodness. Regardless of how often Frieren says Heiter was a corrupt priest and they say Sein is even worse because on top of drinking like Heiter he likes to smoke, gamble and womanize, they're both always shown doing good things for their community and being positive people.

Frieren's studies under Flamme happened a thousand years ago. So she wasn't completely inactive for all that time - for the first 500-ish years, she's implied to have been actively working towards defeating the Demon King. Then, something happened (which I _think_ we've gotten a brief glimpse of in the manga, but I'm not entirely sure because I don't think it was _confirmed_ to be the reason why she stopped), and she gave up and began her life as a hermit - and it was 500 years later that Himmel found her. I can see why she was feeling discouraged after all that time of inaction.
I’m a manga reader but I can’t quite remember what the MIGHT incident was that we were shown. Could you remind me (obviously spoiler tag it so no one runs into it who hasn’t read the manga)

Considering that it's been almost a hundred years since the demon king was defeated and Frieren said that she did not fight demons for 500 years before then, the time roughly adds up and it is likely that it was Macht that was the last demon she fought (granted she spent time healing her hand).

I think Sein's brother had been steadily decreasing the size of the tools he gave him for years as "subtle" encouragement to go become an adventurer.
