legit 100%. Just found out about him. Haven't been obsessing over an artist in awhile! Just came across Joji, Yungblud and KennyHoopla and haven't been obsessing over artists like them in awhile
Easily the best music artist I've found this year. Personally, his music has been very cathartic to jam out to these past few months. I'm excited to see more from Kenny Hoopla because it is evident from his music and from this interview that he has a lot of good he can give the world.
The things he said about pushing forward, not just through the dark, but also when things are "good" really stuck with me. To never get comfortable in one place but to keep going man, that was really good. Great interview of a great musician!
His vibes are so pure and complex. To all those that get trapped in their minds, he found a gateway to release it in a way that a lot of us truly understand.
I've been obssessively listening to his music and this is the first interview of him I see. It makes me both sad and inspired to see that so much great art comes from people who are also strugling with mental ilness. "How will I rest in peace if I'm buried by a highway?" resonates so much with me, cause it's the sort of no-problem that eats you up when you have anxiety, and I can totally relate to the depper meaning behind it too. His music made me admire him as an artist, this interview made me admire him as a person.
Just take your time and keep making music. Don't rush things or feel like you have to prove anything. Create for yourself first, the fans will follow your lead. Trust yourself you've done great so far. Keep up the good work
How does he go against the grain? I have about 7 Homies that are like him. I think people just get used to seeing people that look like him be/act a certain way
@@semajjohnson1379 he's real in his music, he's an artist that cares about the music first and his personality second. His sound is completely against anything that's come out since the early 2000s and gained any traction. I could go on. It's cool you have some cool friends but it's super refreshing to see someone gaining traction by being themselves and staying pretty damn humble. I'd say in the scope of the music industry he's going incredibly against the grain
I like this kid a lot. His personality is amazing and the way he speaks is so humble, and I'm a huge fan of his music. It brings me back to the 90s, the punk rock shit I love.
I am absolutely a fan of Kennyhoopla. This guy is going to write and make more incredible music. You can absolutely connect and harmonize with Kennyhoopla's lyricism and creative vision sitting down and listening. I cannot wait to see what else Kennyhoopla has in store for us fans in our ever-present and near future.
Kenny Hoopla I relate 100% I'm a writer too, Ive struggled w depression and have battled suicidal issues, I play guitar & wrote and ghesd have been my antidepressants for more then 20 years. I want to thank you for your genuine & forthright answers in this thoughtful interview! Lemonade Stand wha what! Kenny Hoopla by staying true to you, I don't feel so alone after discovering your music and hearing this great interview I feel less lost and that perhaps Ive been correct all along. No matter how bad it gets theres always new day, new ways, and cause for hope and healing. I absolutely dig your two forward slash signature it stands for greatness after All every day is a choice to move forward or not your signature is a testament to your conviction of what's right and your character. Great interview!
He`s so interesting! I get that "a real person" vibe, witch is always nice, because is`s rare in music industry.
*which is always nice, because it’s rare ( I’m so sorry I have a condition I can’t stop myself without immense mental anguish)
Thanks Travis, for bringing this brother out to the light. RESPECT//
For me, who brought him to light was Kele from Bloc Party :)
Just take your time and keep making music. Don't rush things or feel like you have to prove anything. Create for yourself first, the fans will follow your lead. Trust yourself you've done great so far. Keep up the good work
He's so raw so cool and so against the grain. What a breath of fresh air.

Road2493 I agree with you 100%. You’re right. He is a gem. We need to continue supporting him.
I really expected him to be British
Me too bruh
Same. His vocals remind me a lot of Kele from Bloc Party - thought for sure he was from overseas from me
On the song “how will I rest in piece if I’m buried by a highway” it sounds like he’s singing with a British accent
kenny deserves the world

Rockin' your jams big time in Kentucky. Love it, Kenny. Blow it up, man.
Only true artists will feel this
It’s so nice to see a humble artist these days. I think he’s going to be legendary. Been a huge fan since I found him in late ‘19
Excellent ideas. It'll be great to see him grow. He's got good roots already.
Very genuine and heartfelt, honestly one of the best new artists out there right now.

" i earned a spot in conversation ". Very talented young guy. Beautiful voice.
I like his outlook, he seems down to earth and here for a reason
"fuck, i'm so bad at talking" 3:04
how you talk is how people talk. nothing bad about it.
I always identified emotionally/mentally with your music. After watching this video I know why. Keep being yourself my dude.
