Haha! Yeah like in my local brunch where I picked up 3 boxed megadrive games with manuals for unboxed prices.. the funny thing was the girl who served me said "these are unboxed.. is that okay?" I was like... ummm yeah 🤣🤣
@@danielsmith7084 Some stores will do that if they come with those items but dont match the critera for being boxed w/manual. Mostly if its not in good enough condition and whatnot.

@@PyraJord this might have been pre w/o manual days. if the worker thought you needed everything but all they brought in was the box, then it could have gone unboxed.

European Club soccer was my Football game on the MegaDrive back in the day, me and my mates played it endlessly, you can do a lob from the half way line and then header it in from the edge of the box with near 100% success, that move had to be banned in multiplayer :)

I have to say I haven't been to that specific CeX but I've had similar experiences in one near me but it was just a specific staff member and knowing the lass that runs the shop I just asked her and she couldn't do enough for me :)
That transformers is a nice slop cover, will have to watch for that one.
As much as I don't like the red spines they do look good in place. I have seen a lot of people in my locals picking up the essentials and when I see them I always think of you. Take it easy!

FYI you should trim hedges etc.. a little earlier in the season as birds have started to nest and fledge little ones at this time of the year.

12:03 - Always interesting to see more obscure PS2 titles.
The PS2 is a system that's always been a blindspot for me, as I went from Dreamcast to GC & XB (after DC the PS2 felt more like a side-grade than an upgrade with the other 2 systems).
I played a decent amount of PS2 at my mates house, but never owned the system.
It's the only PS system I skipped, I've owned everything else up to PS4 (inc the handhelds). Yet to get a PS5, but I'm sure I will eventually, probably when 'Death Stranding 2' is released. I'll then catch up with the other PS5 gen only games.
RetroGhetto, you know Nike sells real slippers on their website, but the use of an old pair of Air Max Ones is very creative.

Had similar experiences in some CEX stores… latest was when trying to buy some ps3 essentials, they were actually putting the non essential discs in the box, arguing with me that it’s the same game and there is no difference and refusing to go back and check for the right disc 😮 to be fair to CEX, had this in 2 stores, I do find most of time they are very accommodating for the collector.
My nice hour long vlog to watch, nice pickups as always🎉 Dutch chocolate is yummy, had some when I went to the Netherlands a few years ago

Just thinking about the position of the PS3 essentials at the end of the video. Not to be too nit picky but with the red spines running along the bottom row I think they clash with the green Xbox sign light & the Master Chief statue. Also how the collection is split by that 90 degree angle, running onto the shelf under the PS4 collection I think breaks the continuity of the set.
I know space is tight but your Wii U, 360, Switch, Snes & Mega Drive collections are all shown off really well as each has their own dedicated & uninterrupted space. If possible I'd consider a rearrangement to try and achieve something like that for the PS3 essentials collection as well.

It was a visual representation of the disappointment of seeing that it was a reprinted cover. I of course put the game back correctly.
Literally got a foil backed Borderlands 2 sleeve cover today and the sticker ripped of a huge chunk of silver. Couldnt have been more careful if i tried 😂 Would love some alternative to the paper stickers but I honestly wouldnt know myself, especially when CEX put 2 of them on 😅
The Romford store is like that for me dude it’s a total myth and the one that’s got the attitude is part of the management team total muppet 😂😂
I will apologise I kinda poached a lot of the good stuff from the Nottingham stores about 2 weeks ago, all because you inspired me to go hunting a lot of steel books and essentials
Cex slipped up with me recently, bought a bluray & when I got home they had put the 4k disc in it....brucie bonus 😂
And now after all that cleaning the room is looking better than ever, great way to spend my Sunday mornings great content as always dude 🤙

Not sure how often you visit Nottingham, but there is a third CEX just outside the city centre. Not as big as the other two, but can find some gems in there as people usually forget it exists!

Nice pick ups mate. I've got that lost planet slipcover for PS3, it's very cool. One of my most uncommon slipcovers is for Dark Void on PS3.
I caught CEX slipping recently with the Day One Edition of Tales of Xillia on PS3. Still not a cheap game for £18, however they want £30 for the Day One Edition and it was super clean. So I had to buy it especially at that price. 😂
The Hull CEX is the same, it's like they don't want to sell the games. Windows empty, cabinets empty, games buried and hidden.

I caught CEX out with the exact same game and pricing error recently but on the Xbox 360, I paid £4 and traded it back in for £10. Shame the 360 version wasn’t as expensive as the PS3

I wonder if the ps3 games (normal and essential) could switch place with the 360 games. So have ps with Lara and 360 next to Master chief. Guess depends on numbers
The only slip up I've caught from CEX was a special edition copy of Infamous 2 marked as a regular copy. I don't think they have the special edition on their system which is probably how that happened. Got it for £4 when it's worth £12-15
Also I have a copy of The Need For Speed on PS1, it does have the Road & Track logo on the side like the copy you have.
Appreciate the Essentials Spreadsheet. I see that you haven't included Burnout Paradise (not the ultimate edition) nor the Saints Row The Third (not full third package) I presume you're not including all variant copies
I’m in the middle of playing the devil May cry hd collection on the ps3, I got it a little over a year ago for £8, I’m really enjoying it.

21:07 instead of having games go across multiple billy bookcases, why not try having them go down and filly an individual bookcase? That way you would have a bookcase for each type, so would have a bookcase fully of blue wii u games, one full off red essentials, one fully of white wii games, etc.

If you’re looking for a good Transformers game then you can do no worse than Transformers Devastation id you’ve not already got it. It’s made by Platinum games and by all accounts is a banger and looks like the OG cartoons. I’ve heard it’s rising in price on the last generation, but is cheaper on 360.
I still need to get Lost Planet 3. They had it in that CEX in Belle Vale that we went too, but I thought £10 was too much lol.
I’m still after SW:FUSE on 360. I’ve knocked a couple of my list on Sunday and bought one off eBay today. Not too many more and I’m done collecting for 360.

I dont know what is up with mafia 2 platinum/essentials edition ps3.it's supposed to have the dlc on the disc however when i buy its always the standard disc inside. I have bought over 10 copies over the years and took each one back. Does your mafia 2 ps3 have the dlc on disc? Im beginning to think there was a printing error at the factory when thhey were producing the discs or im just incredibly unlucky.

I visited Derby recently on the hunt for ps2 rarities and ended up leaving there empty handed as the service at cex was awful. My local cex in Sutton in Ashfield the staff are ace there though

Edit: I think the only essentials version is the scholar of the first sin version. It is a different version from the original as it includes the dlc. Maybe you can change the name?
