    I appreciate your input Cody. I’m a beretta guy. Your video & honest outlaw provides additional input. Thanks for your honesty.

    Sounds like your knit picking or trying to find things you don’t like about the Squalo. Every review I’ve seen gave it a good rating. Unpredictable trigger? Mag release? Safety too high? C’mon bro. Beautiful gun. Anyone would be proud to add that to their collection.

      I've definitely seen other videos with similar complaints. This gun now has more rounds through it from my friends and anyone else who wants to try it than myself. Everyone picked out at least one thing I mentioned here that they didnt like. The trigger is preference, I just don't think its good enough. The mag release and safety literally make it unenjoyable to shoot. It is a beautiful gun, that's why I bought it, but I cant find anyone around me that would even consider buying one after shooting mine. Again, I'm sharing my opinions and you don't have to have the same one, if you love it and it works then buy it.

    I have shot over 2000 rounds with the LTT version, I love this gun, it is a joy to shoot.
    This gun is amazing, I find the recoil mild not sure why you are seeing differently.
    I find it comfortable.

    • @GunGuyCody
      @GunGuyCody  3 месяца назад

      LTT makes a big difference.
      Recoil is relative, compared to a polymer frame gun its great, and it's not bad overall, but the CZs I compete with, and others in the same category, have about half the felt recoil, in a competition setting that's a huge disadvantage with this.
      If it fits your hands and you like it that's great for you, keep shooting it.

      Did you get the cut and crowned barrel and/or ported barrel from LTT? I'm about to pull the trigger 😏

    The xi has virtually zero recoil. Same gun.

    • @GunGuyCody

      Recoil is relative, I feel it has way more than what it's trying to be comparable to price point and performance wise. Is it better than a stock Glock? Absolutely. Is it better than a Shadow 2? Absolutely not.

    I might be the only one... but I'm hoping Beretta makes a smaller trigger guard and trigger someday. They've always felt excessively large...
    I'm looking at all perspectives of this pistol since I was wanting to buy it. Thanks for sharing!

    I am not a big fan of frame-mounted safeties for the same reason.
    It just feels weird to have my thumb that high resting on the safety.

    Why didn’t you use a standard 92 magazine release?

  • @BigPapaRomeo
    @BigPapaRomeo 3 месяца назад

    CZs have issues too. The Tac Sports mag release would also dig into the palm of your hand. My Czechmate had issues with the safety getting lifted and activated by the fat of the thumb with a high grip while shooting. Nothing like shooting a stage and getting a dead trigger.
    The LOK 92Xi Veloce Wraparound grips help with the extended mag release digging into the fat of your thumb. There is no relief cut, the empty space is taken up by the grips. I didn't like that feeling either when shooting. The black and gray color of the LOK grips looks GREAT on the Squalo. The safety digging into the webbing of your hand, I didn't have an issue. Not sure if the LOK grips help with that matter. If you're not happy with the trigger send it off to Langdon Tactical. They are wizards when it comes to making a Berreta trigger better. You can also get 24 rounds in mags by adding MBX Extreme Ultra Max mag springs for the Berreta.

    • @GunGuyCody
      @GunGuyCody  3 месяца назад

      I personally do not have any of those issues with my CZs, both the different extended and paddle style mag releases on my TS2 and TSO don't cause any issues or discomfort. I always ride the safety on both and have had zero issues with accidental activation.
      I'm very familiar with Langdon and originally planned to send it to them, I just feel like I shouldn't have to send it away for months after buying it to make it decent, and having to buy grips to make it comfortable. After all that the safety will still be an issue, and its still lighter and snappier than I want.
      I really wanted to love it, I just cant justify spending more money only to not be completely happy with it.

    Beretta not for small hands, one of the reasons lost contract is many woman’s hands can’t hold

    • @GunGuyCody
      @GunGuyCody  3 месяца назад

      The Vertec style grip is very small. Actually smaller than the standard grip on the P320
      They lost the contract because Sig is selling the guns at their cost to manufacture, and they are more simple to operate and maintain. Also the new contract was for a modular handgun, the M9 wasn't even considered, they were looking at the APX.

    • @TheCrusher72
      @TheCrusher72 2 месяца назад

      That is NOT one of the reasons the M9 was not picked up again.

    I don’t understand. Are there just personal ergonomic issues, that’s it? Are you like a Cz guy or something?

  • @giovannimazzocchi6402

    I feel like most of the problems you had with the gun are caused by its furniture. Just put on a normal mag release, and tinker with all those components. I am not familiar with this specific single action model, but maybe its either the fact you have a flat trigger, or because you are so used to other trigger pulls: it doesn't seem too big of a problem, atleast while the biggest deal with the Beretta stock triggers is the reset imo.
    I understand your argument is mostly based on your experience and feelings, but if you cant grip a Beretta in 2024, with all the aftermarket support there is you can adjust it anyway you want.
    I would understand such a review if you bought it with your eyes closed or if you didnt own a Beretta yet, but whats the excuse?
    If the gun doesnt fit you, you cant shoot it right, so what did you expect?
    Safety-wise, Im not certain, but you could try and find one from the Beretta Combat series, they are much more comfortable and natural.

    Didn't you hold the gun before you bought it..? If it felt so bad why did you buy it?
    Go buy the Taurus.
