Thanks for watching! Let me know in the comments which apps or tools you use for tracking and planning your finances 🙂
YNAB is better option
Ich gönne dir jeden Cent. Bist eine echte Inspiration. Danke, dass du das mit uns teilst✌️
Danke 🙂
Great insights and amazing evolution over the years; keep up the good work! It would be interesting if you could make some videos on your time management (80 hours per week is very impressive in science), research projects and how you organized your work for the papers given that research results are hard to predict and schedule. Thank you!
After watching this video & realizing how far you have come ( not having a wealthy family, then trying hard to make ends meet on your own ) I have a whole new level of respect for you.... thanks for creating this channel , I find it very helpful 👌⭐️
yess! really excited for this video. I am very interested in this topic because I would really like to gain a better understanding about expenses living and studying in Boston. love your videos :)
See you tomorrow in the live stream! 🙂
finally I have added you in my role model list. Keep up the good work
Life goals 😎 I’m honored 😉
Wow what a Video. And im really impressed about how good you tracked your expances over a so long time. As always thanks for this Video 👍👍
Thank you Miro 🙂
Your story was quite intriguing, but I would like to see next is how you managed to communicate with universities and do negotiations such as Scholarship's, internship, and admissions. That's a rare skill of communication and negotiations that you seems to possessed.
I might make a video about this at some point 🙂
Very interesting! I know you once showed how an email should look like when approaching a faculty member, but could you someday do a video about finding and aproaching for research internships since you often did it in your life? Due to being a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung, its even more relevant to me since I can provide self-funding.
Excited to see your next videos!
Such a journey dude! thanks for sharing and so many cool advices, awesome!
You’re very welcome 😉
I have just watched this straight for 26 minutes. It is a great story. Keep it up bro
Thank you 😊
The video is well done. Charming, authentic, excellent content & presentation. Oustanding quiet style of humor. Congrats & respect.
Thank you very much! 🙂
This is inspiring, take the opportunity in front of you and other doors will open up
Awesome video! Can you put out a video talking about how you made your CV and giving some tips and tricks? Thanks!
I've been thinking about making such a video for a long time. Maybe I'll make one in the near future :)
You talked about 2 different research fellowships that you managed to secure during your undergraduate years. Can you talk more about how you went about securing these paid research positions?
Also, thanks for the video about expenses - I think a lot of it is pretty useful
Yes, I might talk more about this in a video in the near future 🙂
Great , Really Inspired!
really insightful, thanks a lot for sharing it!
Glad it was helpful!
I started earning only recently. I am using Ivy Wallet app to track my expenses. It’s not integrated with any bank account or credit card. You have to manually type in for every transaction. But it’s pretty seamless to use with intuitive UI and widgets. It is open source, free to use and works on donations. It syncs with cloud and also has “export to CSV” and other backup options.
This is the story of a Genius Geek, but you are truly inspiring! ❣
Thank you 😊
Svakako :)
Incredible and inspiring. Your Cv should be filmed!
Wow, thank you! 😊
Honestly I admire you. I am first year student and this was what I neede
Thank you 😊
Great video! Just downloaded a expanse tracking app:) maybe you could also make a video on how you accumulated that many airline miles and how to get into collecting. I tried to research some videos but it seems to be not that common in Europe. Or maybe you can share a good video or channel. Keep up the good work👍🏼
It's a bit harder if you don't have access to US credit cards. Although I did manage to do it in Europe too, with some tricks 🙂
Interesting! You are inspiration for me
Thank you :)
You are so inspiring 😊
Thank you 🙂
Could you go more into your work at Harvard/MIT? Is your position at Harvard a faculty position? What is your stipend as a PhD student and do you have tips for living as a graduate student in Cambridge or other metropolitan areas?
that was really fascinating to hear ! money management is Alien to me, that's maybe why i am broke and stuck in life..
Yeah, it's super important to keep track of everything all the time :) People tend to underestimate it
@@SamuelBoschMIT 🤔 this is a great philosophy
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
wow this is really interesting!
Glad you think so! 🙂
Money Manager is a great app, there's a free version and paid one is not a subscription only once payment for 5,99€ I think. Not like Finanzguru you can edit the data fast and on your own, I like the design, it's not too complex, but has differen functions. It also saves on cloud and you can use it on desktop
I’m definitely gonna check that out!
Hey Samuel, way off topic from the video, but I was wondering how much physics someone needs to do research related to quantum artificial intelligence and/or machine learning? I am a math student interested possibly pursuing research in similar fields as yourself. I understand you did your undergrad in physics. I also understand that a Ph.D. cannot be entirely nailed down to any topic or approach. But I'd like for someone to grant some insight into how much physics is necessary for doing research related to it no matter the approach or home school of thought. It's hard to read through work at the level of yours (actually it is impossible right now haha), and since your field of research is quite esoteric and state-of-the-art, it has quite a large barrier of entry at the moment.
This is for myself and I am approaching this from a mathematics background. I have some experience with physics and am taking courses on A.I. and machine learning. I'm asking this in order to make some decisions on my last year of courses before I graduate. I'd like to pursue graduate work in mathematics and its applications in quantum A.I. Any advice or other resources for information you can point me to is greatly appreciated. Your videos are awesome and you're a stand up guy. Thanks!
The way you show the credit card to the camera, I can actually read everything sigle digit on it in 4k resolution 😂
😬
Hi man, amazing vid! Would you explain what your real estate business is about?
Interesting video 😄
Thank you 😊
The thing with bb needing new clothes all the time is so true :D A good way to compensate for that is to just buy clothes that are too big for you at the time being :) Also give this cool bodybuilding look
Hahahaha not do sure about buying oversized clothes :)
I recommend Toshl Financie which automatically imports transactions from banks
Niceee - I'll check it out :)
I use the same app man.. I have tried new ones but nothing beats the simplicity of spending tracker
That’s interesting to hear! I do like the simplicity. It’s not rocket science at the end of the day. I just hope they will keep maintaining the app, and it won’t end up discontinued which could easily happen
@@SamuelBoschMIT I wish the same or don't worry I develope an exact copy and will share it to you.. Only you n me will use that 😂
Hello! Do you have any advice regarding crafting international applications to universities? I am currently in 9th grade studying in an international school and I am wondering whether you have any advice or anecdotes you could share with me. Cheers.
Yes, have a look at my "How to get into MIT as an international student" video 🙂
Explain also the benefits of the credit cards.
Uhhhhh that would be a long video :)
@@SamuelBoschMIT I'd love to understand more regarding that too, maybe it could bring a lot of new viewers in, which you already deserve nonetheless
Hi Samuel, I need your financial advice on these 36 Credit Cards. I'm sure these Credit card are from different countries. As you live in USA, how do you manage to keep your bank account activated? Do they allow you to have bank while you live in USA? How do you that man? Thanks for your time.
How did you learn about real estate investing? I’m trying to get into it. Thank You
Da ist ja Arnie im Hintergrund!🦅
Genau 😊🦅
Verrückt! Ich habe das all die Jahre gar nicht so bewusst wahrgenommen, bzw. nur am Rande mitbekommen.
Du meinst meine Finanzen? :)
@@SamuelBoschMIT genau
Hello Guys i just have one question. I just started with my studies at university in Computer Science. But sometimes I have the feeling that I should have started/ change to Business administration. My goals after university are to gain experience with consulting and maby build my own company or work in a managing position in a company. What do you guys think? Any advice for that?
Everyone can study business. But not everyone can become good at programming or cs in general. Unless you really don’t want to do anything even remotely related to cs in your life, it’s probably best to study cs and take business courses / work on startups on the side 🙂
@@SamuelBoschMIT Thank you very much for your answer 🙏🏼
Hey, Samuel, I have never won anything at the international level, I have never even qualified. Can I get admission to MIT grad program?
Very interesting story! Just wondering - how did you manage to get so many air miles?
Hahaha you’re not the first person asking. I may make a video about it at some point in the future :)
Ist es möglich dir privat eine Frage über Quantencomputer zu stellen?
You inspired me with your buzzwordy to study quantum robotics
😂
do u know like were to go to potty like my momma said i gotta eat gummy beans but like i cant eat them anymore cuz like theres only 4 in the jar but there all different colors, like theres a red gummy bear and a blue gummy bear and a green gummy bear and a yellow gummy bear, but how is that even possible if like theres only 3 prime colors??? i was playing operation the game and i finally got the bone out, but the nose lit up!
Seriously though, looking forward to the video :P great topic. At some point can you do one on starting a startup? Too many vids just focus on things like "first step is to have an idea"... like bruh
am I the only that I saw at 5:58 a huge insect taking a walk at the wall behind samuel ?
It may or may not be real :)
I persoanlly use notion app :) it's easy and convenient :))))
Next time flying first class from US to Europe the RUclips camera must be on board ;)
And one question: How long did it take assist-O to raise the 50k investment and make real profit?
Hahhaha I wanted to last time, but realized it may not be very suitable content for my channel :)
Assist-o didn't raise any money btw. This was money we invested privately
I would definitely watch "How MIT PhDs travel the world" or "One day this could be you" 🤣
Dude, are you even human? Haha, I cannot imagine what kind of IQ you were born with to be able to focus and excel at so many things at once. Truly a genius. I wish my brain worked like that. Thanks for sharing.
Hhahah thanks - have a look at my video about my life principles for success talking about this :)
How by all means can you stay motivated working that much 😮
It’s all about setting the right goals in life 🙂
how did you manage to accumulate 2.000.000 airline miles? Would be very interesting to hear about that
hahhahahaha I've been asked to make videos about this for a long time :) I am still hesitant to do so. Among other reasons, most tricks really only work if you live in specific countries (not just in one) and have access to specific combination of credit cards and bank accounts. So even if I give a lot of tips and tricks, most of them would apply only to a small subset of people . So I would have to think really hard how to make a video useful to as many people as possible :)
@@SamuelBoschMIT ok I See. So credit cards like Amex i guess.
@@SamuelBoschMIT I think it still would be suuuper interesting to hear just what is possible if you combine the circumstances optimally :)
Interesting video anyways, keep up the great content👍
hi I thought you were doing PhD in physics ..... ?
what is ur stipend in MIT
There isn't really a distinction between fields anymore. Technically my PhD is in Computer Science, but I do just as much math and physics in it :)
5:56 LOL
Two time college dropout and you still ended up at MIT in a PhD program! I know the work must have played a critical part in your admission
It certainly wasn't based on my completed degrees 🤣
Hello Samuel, wish I could keep track of my expenses like you. Hussein again, your IPHO 2014 Co-participant, I am haven't received a feedback from you, still expecting one. thank you.
Hey Hussein, sorry my inbox is just exploding and I haven't even gotten to reading most messages 😬
@@SamuelBoschMITThank you, I understand, I basically want to hop on a call with you, catch up, talk about physics, IPHO. Could I maybe get your calendly or doodle so I book a date. Been trying to paste my mail here for that, but RUclips keeps deleting the comment
Do you think you got those free accommodations because of social skills or luck?
Probably a combination of luck and trying really hard :)
which broker do you use for investing? ibkr?
I’m not investing anymore into the stock market atm. Everything I can save goes into startups :)
@@SamuelBoschMIT thanks for the fast answer. Enjoy your day
What in the world did you do to get 1,000,000 miles & more?
If I told you, I’d have to kill you 😉
whats that for an animal at 5:57 ?!?
Love you from Bangladesh
Thank you 🙂
@@SamuelBoschMIT i am a student from physics Department. I want to talk with you.
How much does mit pay their phd students
Depends on the department. In computer science, we get the most at around 4000 usd per month. Other departments pay slightly less
please recommend a good credit card 👀
Your next one should be the capital one venture X, once your Amazon Prima card from chase is at least 1-2 months old
wow
In Minute 5:59 a little insect is crossing the lens of the camera lol. A spy?
It may be fake 😉
36 credit cards???? please make a video about this!
I'm thinking about it 🙂
If I may ask, what's you age buddy?
I’m 27 :)
@@SamuelBoschMIT would request you to make a video on - how to handle work and expectation pressure brother. When you are working your peers expect the best out of you and sometimes the magic doest happen and things do not click. doest it happen to you too? How do you handle the pressure or critisism when that happens. Would love to know your psychology behind all that glittering success.
How did you manage to get so many miles haha
I might make a video about it at some point :)
something does not add up here
?
Stoppp the cockroach scared me 😂
😂
Just stop this video at 5:58😂
The power of special effects 😂
Vllt ist das nicht dein Style. Aber Oversized Kleidung hat seine gewissen Vorzüge.

WTF 2mio. Miles😮 pls learn us how
Special skills. I will almost certainly make a video about this sometime in the coming year 🙂
I wonder which cards these are hahaha?
Please buy me a puppy
Hahhahhahhahhah ehmmmmmm 🧐🐶
You’ve got an eagle already!
😂
Your accomplishment are great but some of them made me think you are either a genius, extremely lucky or plainly lying haha
For germans I can recommend 'Finanzguru' as a financial tracking tool. I would also love a video about how to use credit cards advantageously!
Nice! I heard about that before :)
Seconded, it works perfectly for me.
Hi Samuel I'm the 13yr old that was in your
previous livestream I wanted to ask how you
found the PHd for quantum artificial
intelligence because i search it on google and
cant find it and I wanted to thank you because
this video got me using anki more and my
grades seem to be improving and i wanted to
ask you what kind of physics questions you
did for fun as a kid and where you got those
questions from I also wanted to ask what
physics competitions you did as a kid and how
did you find them. secondly I wanted to ask
what did you major to get into quantum
artificial intelligence and what has been your
hardest topic. Finally what is your current job
and salary. This may be long but this is the
last question do you think in maybe 10 years I'd be able to start my own Quantum Al
company and what steps do you think i need
to take to get there.
I'm doing a PhD in computer science actually 🙂 Quantum AI is just a subfield
Hi there! I just got to say, almost everyone in MIT AND Harvard are true genius! BTW, contacted you on instagram, hope you see it, will definitely have great chat on mathematics and all of that!
Hope it has tips for broke students who want to work out and eat a lot and also have good grades 🥲
At a bare minimum, it will show you that I was just as broke 🙂
