Versatility, nutritional density and storability are all important factors when picking which vegetables you will choose to grow in your limited garden space. These 2 vegetables (beets and sweet potatoes) have all the characteristics that make them worth the space that they will take-up in your garden. Both have greens that can be eaten, both can be stored for a long period of time, and both are very nutritionally dense. They can both also be prepared/cooked in multiple different ways so your family does not get completely sick of eating them. I really encourage everyone who wants to feed themselves and their family from their garden, to grow these two vegetables.

Thank you for tolerating the production quality. I am learning, but am also excited to share everything that I have learned in the outdoors.

We are growing sweet potatoes for the first time this year. And we have just expanded our culinary lifestyle to include sweet potato greens. They are so versatile and actually more nutritional than the tubers.
