Acing the test with Champion Cheren [Pokemon Masters EX]

I was prepared for Cheren and Bianca to get variety alts. It seemed like the most realistic way for them to get their long-awaited alts since they aren't too popular, and they would've gotten a cute scene or two out of it. So you can imagine how blind-sided I was by this update lmao. Even if I wanted NC Wally the most, this is pretty close to the next best thing.
Despite their roles, NC Cheren is the more damage-focused unit of the two, with a majority of his kit being focused on PMUN and SMUN stacks. His move multipliers are ridiculous, and unlike the many damage-focused rivals we've gotten this year, his sync doesn't suffer for it at all.
That said, he is very much more suited for 3v3 content than LAs. While he does have six solos (as of time of writing), he doesn't have sustain and/or stagger to make him more self-sufficient, and his rebuff-reliant innate sync multiplier suffers in LAs too. His gauge also leaves a lot to be desired.
All these clears used 3-star Flying Gear. Here's how each battle went and the sync grids used:

I sadly don't have Anni Skyla for Flying Zone, so I made do with SS Hau, who provided Speed debuffs and extra SMUN. SS Elesa had sync acceleration so I could skip a turn with Cheren's Head Start 1 on his grid.
Vs. Sidney: EX-R NC Cheren / EX Lodge Elesa / EX-R NC Rosa - ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=...
NC Rosa is a lot more synergistic with NC Bianca, but Cheren also appreciates her PMUN and SMUN stacks to bump up his damage. Lodge Elesa provided speed debuffs and further boosted the master passives.

Since his rebuff is tied to his B Move, he can hold onto it so that he uses it to disable Uxie's Acute Senses in Bar 2. Tauros provides paralysis and Speed support, which Cheren definitely needs since he's stuck with a 4-bar move. This was really annoying to get and I'm not looking forward to doing it again in LG15 lol
