If u shed a lot, try a tea rinse once a month. And clean up your diet and decrease stress if those are issues for u.

tips:
1. condition, wash, condition, method
2. when detangling/raking through products, detangle your roots and hold your ends
3. detangle in 4-6 sections
4. finger detangle before using a brush
5. twist sections that you aren’t detangling to prevent tangled

Finger detangling gives me WAY better curl definition. Combs and brushes, even just in the shower, make my wash and gos frizzy
I thought I was the only one that my hair frizz when I bursh it even when it is really wet
I agree! But I always finger detangle and rake through my hair after I use a comb or brush to bring back my natural curls, because it does cause a lot of frizz🥴

I condition > wash > deep condition but the first conditioner is on dry hair so it can completely penetrate the hair shaft without water filling it up beforehand. P.S. This is my favorite RUclips channel! I learn so much!

Conditioner does not penetrate the hair shaft, if you want to pre-poo use olive, avocado, or coconut oil.

I feel like I'm losing more hair on my wash days than I should be and I don't know what to do about that. Plus, I'm not sure if I have low density hair, or if my hairs thinning because I lose a lot. If I have low density hair, that really sucks because you cant really do any cute hairstyles when your hair isn't that full
Do you feel that your hair is getting thinner and thinner? Sometimes I feel like I’m losing a lot of hair. But it also depends on how long you’ve gone between washes. Also, the longer your hair gets, the amount of shed hair you have, will appear to be larger. ❤️
Watch density vids. Its a water test if it sinks or floats. Some people don't brush their hair that often so they must after a wash so you will see more shed hairs bc they were sitting in there until you brushed it.
Hi! Lately with my weekly wash days I’ve been experiencing more shedding as well. I have a couple of things that I want to try to remedy the situation. I definitely want to get a good trim and also I’m going to try the aphogee protein treatment. Hopefully it works 😭
@@Jewellianna I wash my hair every 5 days. I used to wait a full week but my hair gets too dry and itchy. I don't think my hairs getting thinner than it normally is, so i guess thats good. Oh really?? My hair is a little long, so that makes me feel better. Thank you!!!💖
@@2Ryled Okay, I'll do that. There aren't really any videos of girls with low density hair though. Most have a ton of hair :') I thought the skink or float test was for porosity, not density? I'll have to look it up. Yes that's true though. I wash my hair every five days.
YES!!! This is pretty much my entire routine. The only exception is I only condition before shampooing if my hair is SUPER DRY & TANGLED. But, this is my exact routine. Btw, I can just sit and watch you wash your hair for hours!!!

Weird tip: I buy an inexpensive box of surgical gloves (the purple kind) and use those for my wash day. They cut down on friction and snagging in my hair, making finger detangling SO much easier! I have much less shed hair when using these. Actually, it’s not shed hair, it’s hair that gets PULLED out from hang nails or just natural friction from skin-to-hair contact. You’d be surprised what a difference it makes and a box of gloves lasts about a year!

Def got new tips especially holding the ends while scrubbing the scalp to keep tangles away!! Super helpful!
1. Condition first
2. While shampooing, hold the ends doing the roots. Also remember to wash the whole length!
3. Detangle in sections (finger detangle then brush) and condition
4. Deep condition (weekly)
I have 3B and 3C hair and I tried out the same shampoo and conditioner you’re using and it ripped out of my hair but I was taking good care of my hair and I started using Shea Moisture and my hair was softer and it looked more healthy

Thanks so much for sharing! I’m committing to moisture and length retention with my hair, so learning the basics again is extremely helpful. I never thought to stretch my hair while shampooing my roots to minimize tangles.
When i had hair (i have a twa now) i use to shampoo the shaft of my hair as well to get everything out lol people swore that was damaging but my hair was bra strap length back then

do you have a video about how you specifically take care of bleached hair/ what you did to prevent damage? i bleached my hair about a month or 2 ago and i'm thinking of bleaching another section but i want to make sure i don't damage the top sections any further because they tend to be dryer from the sun etc.. tysm!! ur hair is so gorgeous btw 😁💜💜

Just clearing things up about when you said chemically treated water. Deionized water isn't chemically treated. It is water that is filtered through something that is electrically charged. This deionized the water so it reacts with other things only as water. If chemicals were added it would defeat the whole purpose as it is to have water react not whatever else is in the water.
I detangle with aloe Vera juice n oil before getting n the shower put my hair n 8 twist n wash then deep condition
Please please be careful this product has a Formaldehyde release in it!!! It rated a 7 on the toxic report that is very scary I stopped using this product because my hair started to get dry and tangled 😧😧😧 I love your videos just be careful

Great tips. I have to try the stretching the hair when shampoo. I have been wearing latex gloves to keep the hair from snagging onto the fingernails.
Ahhh! That’s a really good idea! I used to have that happen a lot when I had acrylics and I’d get a crack or my nail would start lifting 😩😩
WOW that's my problem snag nail every time I touch my hair I snag it so I.m going to try gloves if I can work with my hair wearing gloves I think it's going to be hard because I still grease my scape I tried everything but grease stop my itching scalp I have been spelling scalp so wrong for a long time yall wow sad but anywho I stop buying what works for you and just get what I know will work for my hair I had to learn that. Sad hmmmm but now I know

Pro Tip: I use conditioner (any kind, go cheap!) on DRY hair as my pre-poo! It’s better than any other pre-poo routine, especially if you’re like me and things like coconut oil just do not work. Conditioner-wash-condish again…YUP!

I'm going to try finger detangling with conditioner in first. I always detangle before washing using this method but not while I'm actually in the process (I use my shower comb). Not sure why I never thought about doing it before.
Sis can you link that brush you use in the shower please? I always just use a wide tooth comb

I have got to deep condition on a regular! I just dont know how to keep my hair moisturized for more than a day or two. Seems like I constantly have to Put leave in or somethin in it almost daily. Urgh but Great video.
