The key to a great silk press is clarifying shampoo, moisturizing, deep conditioner, and a silky straight blow dry. We have similar hair and it took me three years to master it.
@@nonjabulomangoro1871 hey sorry for the late reply. Me personally i find it best to use liquid leave in conditioner with a light way serum prior to blow dry. I find that cream sit on top of my hair and soon as i leave the house it poofs up. Also in the summer when the humidity is high in Louisiana i’ll finish off with a tiny bit of Argan oil.
This is the most effective wash routine I’ve ever tried. Recently, my hair has been going through a phase where it’s just dry and dull, I tried this routine and my hair was shiny and fresh, and I have already seen some more changes. Thanks brittany
Solution Aptosis foods lolLies lies lies lies the culprit Is bran endosperm and germ Carbs starches if its not whole grain its preventing ur hair growth
Today 12/4/23 I used your wash methods using different products. I started my hair at 9:30 and finished 12:30 usually it’s a all day process but this was faster and got my hair super clean
This is the most realistic hair routine I’ve ever seen, everything you said I can relate. I like wearing my hair in a stretched state bcuz my hair is too curly and when it’s like that it’s difficult to work with.
Best silk press I do is: 2 heat protectants. Stretch hair as I Blow dry with denman or wire brush(if you want to catch every strand in a blow dry… it’s gets hair silk straight) Hot comb roots. Flat iron with the chase method and fine tooth comb because I have thick hair. Go slow so you won’t have to do more than 2 passes. I get a real good silk press as if I relaxed my hair. And once I wash my hair it reverts. No heat damage so I must be doing some right. Then wrap hair. I need to try it with a Saran wrap and under hooded dryer after I finish my hair.
The most organized and detailed RUclipsr who gave details on these products and how to use it. I just wish you did a natural curly look at the end of the video
Hey Curl Friend! A real salon Clarifier/ Chelating shampoo and straight blow dry process was key on my silk press! We have very similar textures and density. Thanks honey!
You possibly don't need as much conditioner. Try adding more WATER after applying it if it doesn't feel like enough. Often times, you don't need more product, you need more moisture. Of course, your hair is your hair, and you know it best, so take or leave it as you will ;)
YES..I love "the best brush" by Felicia. I also have the detangling brush that you used throughout your video, it's ok, i hate when the middle plastic separater comes out but once you try the other brush you never what to use other detangler, well as least for me😊❤
Thank you for this because I feel like I do something wrong when I’m shampooing and conditioning I wash my hair about every 4-6 weeks also because my hair naturally is dry I used to wash it weekly when I was a teen and my mom used to tell me to stop doing that because it was drying my hair out more.
Solution Aptosis foods lolLies lies lies lies the culprit Is bran endosperm and germ Carbs starches if its not whole grain its preventing ur hair growth
This routine worked for me so well but I had to use comb to detangle it because my hair was to thick if your hair is thick separate it in sections it was so easy to comb my fingers through it I recommend this routine
Yess!! Wash and Gos always looked cute but I notice more hair in a comb or bush when my hair isn’t stretched and learned stretching creates less tangles and knots for our type 4hair and the growth is real definitely the goal is now waist length you’ve just gotten a new subscriber‼️😁😊💜
My hair is the opposite of yours. In a wash and go, wash day goes more smoothly. In twists, it's tangly and wraps around itself and I do make sure I thoroughly detangle prior to doing the twists. So I rarely do them
DermalMD Hair Growth Serum has not only helped regrow my hair but also improved its overall texture and shine. It's a must-have for anyone looking to restore their hair's health.
I was watching a video the other day by the Glamtwinz on how to do a good silk press. One of the things that they mentioned is to not use a lot of oil based products on the hair. Moisturizing products don't mix well when you want to achieve a silk press.
I wash my hair after a month or so now because I simply just don’t have the time anymore 😩 between work & being a mother time is everything But my hair has been retaining more length faster because I don’t touch it as much
Hey hun a word to the wise emulsify the shampoo and conditioner in your hands before u apply it it’ll really make a difference but your hair is very pretty
I love see you do your hair young lady I'm paying for hair growth I don't know if I would be able to maintain it the way you do you really do have some health good hair I have used so many different products and wasted so much money I just don't know what to do other than keep praying I wanna try your products but I see you use a lot of different products on your hair but I guess it's working you have a good day God bless
The key to growing healthy, long hair starts internally with the diet. When I ate poorly (too many sweets & take-out), & was vitamin/mineral deficient, particularly deficient in iron, vitamin D, & potassium, my hair fell out & broke off. After I got a complete physical exam & bloodwork, I corrected the V/M deficiencies & cleaned up my diet. Then I developed a good & consistent hair care & maintenance routine. Regular wash day, trims as needed (for me it's every 4 months), detangling, low manipulation styles, hydrate/moisturize. My hair is the longest it's ever been & doing well.
Thank you for responding back your right I have made some changes but I really need some products that work with my hair I have brought a lot of products that I don't feel that it works and probably because I'm using so many different products what's a good shampoo and conditioner and also send me your website where I can purchase your products I've ordered from everyone else Lol I would like to support you as well and by the way I'm very proud of you shining star
honestly i’m pretty sure every natural girl has had that era of them just buying stuff for me mielle isn’t that good for my hair there stuff is way to thick i have to dilute with water for me to use , i use things like herbal essence, aussie moist , cantu etccc those all are white owned brands but they work better for me then black owned brands idk what it is their conditioners have so much slip
@04:15 girl, I'm finding the single strand knots are getting crazy around my hairline. And I just got a trim! I mean like any little tiny section of hair I pull out from my hairline will have at least 1 single strand knot. Need to figure out how to get this under control!
I love it as a prepoo to detangle! One of the best detanglers I ever used. There's another product that was close but it's been discontinued (Trader Joes' Nourish Spa conditioner). I was skeptical since I normally use only oil before shampooing, but it had so many great reviews I bought it. I'm happy I did. I still use mainly oil in my hair right before I shampoo but the African pride pre poo is great when I need help detangling
I have the straightener and I have to go over my mine a few times and my hair is thick and to my shoulders. After you straighten it I wrap it up then the next day it looks better.
@@esomikepeace3559 I have to look at it when I go home. But I have a yr page also I'll do a video of it on my page to show how it works. It's really good tho.
Ok. Been wanting to ask. Have you had anyone with Locs review it? I’m always looking for healthier hair products for my thick hair. Having Locs is another mile. My hair devours oil. Frizz and curls back up quickly.
I wish I could straighten my hair 😢 I currently have two flatirons and none of them can give me the straight look I want, no matter how high I put it 😅 and my hair is 4B
Thank you ❤ I thought I was the only one finding it difficult to get the best blower and straightener for my hair, but this gives me hope😅...Will you recommend this blower for my thick 4c hair?😊
I’m interested in buying one of the books but what is the difference ? How do y’all know which hair guide is for you ? Also for the sealant products what is she using with them ?
I struggle with fairy knots. Seeing as it's winter in South Africa I decided to plait my hair in wee plaits it's so long and coiling dnt work now. I'm keeping in in plaits until end July from like May month. Come end July big wash day. Inbetween I oil my scalp and hair with oils. That fairy knots at the ends they get on my nerves at times. What to do about it?
I just ordered your butter and just curious, do you recommend it’s okay to apply the butter (after putting on leave in conditioner) if I’m going to blow dry it afterwards?
I don’t wear my hair in its natural state not even in a puff or bun. I have tones of knots if I do so. Since I do a poor job with blow dry or silk press, they are always in twist or braids l.
I can’t wait for my hair to grow that long so I can wash it in sections. Detangling is the worst part of my wash day routine because it takes hours with my short hair.
The key to a great silk press is clarifying shampoo, moisturizing, deep conditioner, and a silky straight blow dry. We have similar hair and it took me three years to master it.
Only use a blow dry cream at blow dry and heat protectant spray at flat iron... _No other Products_ until you're done...
Thanks, I just subscribed because of my similar texture
What about a protein treatment
