Here's my feedback about that format : I think it's a very unique approach to styling. And for me it's very inspiring. I had never thought of mimicking painting with my clothes. What is interesting too is that it has to do with colours but also with textures and patterns. By the way I'm French so it spoke to me a lot. I hope you'll go on making such arty videos.

Brilliant idea. The whole series of Gustav Klimt paintings using gold is just the inspiration I need to make sense of holiday party outfits.
I liked your outfit based on the Money irises in the vase. I like that the painting also contrasts a cool white vase with the cream white wall. So I could really understand the brighter shaggy jacket with the creamier white pants. A thin dark belt would have added a polished accessory in the same proportions as the dark outline around the irises.
Today, I followed your monochromatic advice and I wore matching rust colored flipflops, purse, culottes and tank top plus a blue jean jacket. In my appointment, the doctor said, "Oooh, you look so fancy!". And it could not have been more simple. I felt very put together and elegant. Thank you.

Dear Elena, I like the way you translate the art work into classic fashion. I have been following your ideas with interest. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to try an idea of yours out. It's summer here, so I wore a maxi skirt, (your lesson on proportions) in a plain cornflower blue with a yellow blouse which had a white lace collar. My sandals were pointy toed in a paler yellow with a neutral brown leather bag. I also wore a beautiful yellow and blue painted shell on a silver chain around my neck. This is what I taught my friends about color combination! I also wrote a blog article last year.
My color combo inspirations are mainly from: art pieces, and nature scene (trees, flowers, buterflies, bird feathers, forests, dune, seaside...).
I also want to share this: imagine a beautiful scenery or think about the photos/postcards you appreciate. rainy gloomy street with a bit of warm light, brick red house under the dark blue sky, cold brown lodge coverer with some snow by the green lake...... like what you said, we just need to open our eyes.

Yassss!....as an artist and designer I have used these tropes from fine art and I have seen entire collections based on paintings or genres. Because color is often not part of the professional dress code it is demonized for everyday wear and stepping out of your color zone takes courage....

I love using fine art as wardrobe styling inspiration. I often use nature’s colors, if I choose a rock color I know it will be muted enough for my Soft coloring type. Also, sky, sand, sea and plant colors. I love a warm desert sunset palette, but these warm tones don’t suit my cool coloring very well. Van Eyck is my favorite painter, I love Netherlandish art! Your color styling videos are always fun, thanks❤

Art is a wonderful source for inspiring new colour and texture combinations. What a great idea for a video. Please do more. I often get my inspiration from colours I find when I'm travelling or combinations I see in nature. I fell in love with the intense cobalt and indigo blues I saw in Morocco that were so beautifully contrasted with the dusty reds and ochres of the desert, the gorgeous aqua green of the Turkish coastline contrasted with the pale yellow sand and suede brown hills, the stunning colour combinations of the saris worn by women in India - hot pink with red, maroon and turquoise, saffron yellow with silver. Colour is so exciting! Keep doing more. Your colour combinations are fabulous. :-)
