Simply fab Eurodisco from Saint Tropez femmes. Hi energy style. Great lyrics. Club favorite 79-80. Good disco mix, danceable. Thanks, St. T & crew. Vive les disco freaks...
I saw them in 1978 at studio 54 in Manhattan...it was amazing...pure extasy. Beautiful guys and sexy songs plus the air vents full of poppers. Heaven on Earth.
I recall first hearing this song in 1979 while listening to the audio program on a flight from Los Angeles to Miami. It has stuck in my head ever since. Such memories......
I saw them perform at the I-Beam in San Francisco in 1979. They were killer, and did 'The Rock' which was the dance of that time. Very smooth. And that rhythm guitar here just worked this song on top of the layering of instruments appearing one by one starting in the break @ 3:43.That was the thing about old dance music: the singer brought it to a crescendo and then the band took off into the stratosphere, never letting up for one single beat (on the good songs, only, of course!) and then the singer would come back in and have to top what the band was doing at the break, so of course by that point, all hell had broken loose in a good way, and they just flew off into outer space. The best disco music either had a killer groove, or a backing instrumental section that knocked your socks off! This was one of them!
@@TheRichie63 YES!!! With my friend, Tim Rivers, rocking the joint! He was one of the few djs who had a music degree. He always put songs together by the key of the song. He was someone who actually deserved the label of "genius." He did all the music for Macy's fashion shows as well. The guy KNEW his music (and refused to play "junk" disco).
Many great disco songs had such funky and memorable intros- 1. Saint Tropez - One More Minute 2. Paradise Express - Dance 3. Donna Summer - With Your Love, etc.
God I was in second grade in my country El Salvador 🇸🇻 I was eight years old to be exact now I’m 55 I still listening this song I can’t believe times fly
Gay porn movies in the late 1970's occasionally used real pop hits. This song was played while the title characters of the film 'Grease Monkeys' danced at a disco. That film opened with the Pointer Sisters' Happiness playing over the opening credit.
Guys like Richie Rome, Van McCoy and Jacques Morali really had a great run during the so-called "disco era" which doesn't actually define most of the music save that it was danceable. This is a great example; but try Van McCoy/Faith, Hope and Charity on "Disco Baby" if you want a stomping groove.
