What I would say about Rush is that first and foremost, they were professionals. Some bands, you get the idea that they formed the band in order to party, and the music was a distant second (or third, or fourth…). With Rush, it was always about making the best quality music possible for their fans. Gotta love that.
The music was always for them first, then for fans. I dont think Rush wrote music geared to make fans happy. They wrote music for themselves, like most great bands.
I agree. There are true musicians...then there are ppl who play instruments. And bands that are, like you said, professional. While other bands are a group of guys playing tunes in a garage who got a record deal.
RUSH will always be my favorite rock band. I will surely take their recordings along if I end up in a nursing home. Thank you, Canada for sharing your talent with the rest of the World.

Yes Indeed 💯 Agreed. Neil is at 3rd all time Drummers they ranked. Alex is also at 3rd Rolling Stones top 100 Guartists. I Agree with both. Geddy In My Opinion, Hands Down is the #1 Bassist of all time🎵🎶🙌👏😁💙
@@jpr1845 I would put Geddy up there with Jack Bruce of Cream & John Entwistle of the Who, in whichever order you like. Although the band is done now, I still see Geddy at a lot of Toronto Blue Jays games, marking his scorebook, as his seats are a few rows over from ours.
In form of the top comment, my very first concert was Rush at the Long Beach Arena on the Signals tour (I’d just turned 13, and in my 2nd year of playing tubs). @@louiscollins7942 if i had a copy a signals sitting near me I could confirm this, but since Ben Mink is credited on Wikipedia as a writer, my best guess is his publishing company must be tied up in the song’s legality. So much superlative fun thinking about being there! Grrreat
Alex@15:05 holy shit! Why he isn't top 5 guitarists? Someone is smoking dope.
i was at this show frist and only time i saw them live
Wholey Trinity
A Far Cry…. And Lerxst singing through a hot microphone for once 😂 Geddy was once asked about why Alex sang through a dead mic , and his response was “if you every heard Lerxst sing before… YOU WOULD KNOW WHY!!!” 😂
This is it RUSH, you know a better band? Geddy... or Alex, yes Neil, they are my big friends.
I saw the Distance Early Warning tour in Hartford when I was in high school..I kick myself that I wasn't into them until after Peart passed.
Think u mean Grace Under Pressure tour....which was my first of many
From Dallas..... it was great.
Im a huge Rush fan poor Geddy's voice was terrible I thought :(
The person in the rap section of Roll The Bones with the pig mask 🐷 is Les Claypool.
Geddy’s voice was pretty rough, but those boys could play better than ever!
A cat having a seizure.
This is an awesome quality , but why is Losing It missing from it ?????????????????????? That was one of the only performances of that song in the History of Rush !!!
Unfortunately there are copyright issues with Losing It. It’s very hard to find any version of it on RUclips.
great live band
15th Row!! Never will forget!!
Alex's solo in headlong flight was incredible.

Gentlemen, please do your fans do diligence. Find a drummer that you beleive Neil would approve of . This is 2022, we , your lifelong fans need you more than ever . Throw us a bone, come back one last time so that we can go to our Graves content . One last hurrah to top all hurrahs,.it would be glorious ✨️ thanks, from a lifetime fan 😀
Mr Lifeson is one of a kind guitar player. He makes sounds never listened before. He is lonely on the top with Mr Blackmore, De Lucía and Buckethead.
Tony iommi as well
Neil Peart and Geddy Lee are up there alone in their respective instruments:) I would put Alex #1 as well.
Gracias..!
Så jäkla bra! So damn good!
audio is really good
Neil Peart is the best drummer/percussionist of all time.
You posted this 2 hour video and felt it was necessary to remove "Losing It" ????
.(
Thanis for sharing, but yeah what's up with losing it? My last and favorite Rush show
I’m pretty sure losing it is copyrighted by rush am not to sure but I know another video I watched didn’t play it because of that.
@@louiscollins7942 I'm pretty sure all their songs copyrighted
@@louiscollins7942 if i had a copy a signals sitting near me I could confirm this, but since Ben Mink is credited on Wikipedia as a writer, my best guess is his publishing company must be tied up in the song’s legality.
EDIT: So I just got home and checked an old vinyl copy of Signals and it says “Special guest performance by Ben Mink, electric violins on Losing It, appears courtesy of FM.” So my guess is whatever FM is is involved in things
This is how I spent my morning, Thursday, October 27, 2022, 11:18 AM
What's the source of the audio? Sounds too good to be the phone it was recorded on.
Also, it's Madison Square Garden.....no s.
Am I the only one here who see's Alex in this video and immediately thinks of "Simple Jack" from "Tropic Thunder"?
