In 2018 I moved from zone 8a in SC to zone 10b in SW Florida. Since it never freezes here, I thought I would have a year round gardening season. Then I learned that it’s just too hot for most vegetables in summer here. Every place has its own challenges it seems. I’m having to relearn about gardening. Good luck with your garden! I look forward to seeing your progress.

Oh wow zone 8a to zone 10b! That is quite the change in zones. I lived in Clearwater Florida for four years and I remember how the summers were just blazing hot so I could see how it’s just too hot for year round vegetables. That would be challenging for sure trying to navigate that issue. I wish New Hampshire was a TAD warmer at times. We have such a short growing season. Like you said it’s learning how to adapt to your climate and make the most of it. Thank you for the well wishes! I’m hoping for much success!

I love this! I follow you for your furniture restoration but will continue watching your garden journey. I too just started getting really into gardening this year and have been learning all I can.

I live in Western Mass. Not necessarily perennials but you could try growing morning glories and moonflower, both climbing vines. Morning glory blooms in the morning and moonflower blooms at night 😊
