I work for water management in my city and no matter what it says on the package don't flush wipes down the toilet. It will always clog up the city pipes, which causes everyone inconvenience. Despite that thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. I will be cloth diapering soon.
Yes! Flushable anything, other than waste and tp is a lie. Tampons, tushy wipes etc no no no!!! Just because your own house isn’t backing up doesn’t mean it isn’t causing a problem somewhere down the line.
@@benharper3036 I looked into it a bit, as well, and apparently the sheet can get caught up in other things in the sewage pipes (eg hair, floss, grease, etc) which would apparently make the sheet stronger and resistant from breaking down. Still trying to look into this a bit more, like if it's still as bad for it to end up at the landfill even if it is biodegradable.
I was able to start with the Nora’s nursery diapers when my daughter was about a month old (around 9lbs) For reference she’s in the 95th percentile for height and 50th for weight.
Thank you Carly, this was soooo helpful!!! It answered lots of questions that I've been wondering but hadn't found the answers to. WILDER IS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!
I purchased some newborn cloth diapers on Amazon, they fit 7 to 10 lbs! Noras nursery diapers are very large on my little newborn, even with the nb hack! She is a month old and finally 8 lbs. I used disposables when we first came home because she was 6 lbs and fit into preemie diapers. Then I did half disposable half cloth for the rest of the month and that's what we continue to do now because she's so tiny! My noras cover her whole body lol it's cute though
Hello to you & your wonderful videos & family. Thank you… like 10x over !!! By far the best thing I have ever done ✅, I took your video & ran with it. I learned some dos & don’ts. I cloth diaper my son fun time, no disposable diapers. I love these diapers, think we bought 45. He is going great with them. Thank you again ❤️ cheers
Hello karly Drew saying hello and I hope we can talk about what you want to I've always had disposable diapers growing up and I still love diapers right now when I was ten years old I went to the store and bought me a. Small package of diapers and tried them on and made me feel like a baby 🍼❤️ but I just look at them instead of buying them but I guess I'll never out grow it but Cal me or text me and we'll talk love you lots 😘😘 Drew 💖😘😘💓😻😘💓😻☺️📛☺️📛
I have to say I am SO GRATEFUL for this video and we must be on the same wavelength because we went with Noras & also have the SAME washer/dryer combo. I was a little nervous about what that may look like. Grateful for your tips and suggestions on how to clean, my biggest concern.
The problem is there's no regulation on writing flushable on a package so they can basically write that on ANY packaging... but most officials say ONLY toilet paper is flushable NOTHING else is, no matter what
Ssooo frustrating. If you put anything in water and swish it around and it doesn’t break up fairly quickly it’s not flushable. Even if it made it all the way to the water sanitation facility this is the kind of stuff that they have to physically remove from the water in order to filter, clean and return water to the system as potable enough to come out of your tap again. Of course it’s not even going to make it that far, because it will eventually clog your home sewage or public sewage somewhere along the way 💀
Hi! My baby is 3mo and only drinks formula (so poo is always very watery), do you think I need to rinse out the poo? Or can I put the diapers straight in the washing machine? Thank you, loved your video! You explain everything so well! ♥️
These cloth diaper reviews have been so so so helpful and encouraging. We just found out we're going to have a little one and from day one I KNEW I wanted to use cloth diapers! Always give yourself grace about it and just do your best!! I haven’t tried them because I’ve been so in love with Nora’s, haven’t needed to try anything else haha
@@CarlyWatson well we have, what seems like forever, until their grand arrival so I will definitely be keeping up and watching your videos on RUclips because you have been so very helpful already on this overwhelming, exciting, scary, unknown journey🙌😅
This was super helpful! I am curious about what your changing routine looks like with the disposable wipes? Do you just pile the dirty wipes up while changing and throw them in a separate trash can (versus placing dirty wipes inside a dirty diaper and bundling together)?
The only thing u did not mention in ur video was the soap part. How much Detergent dry or liquid do u use? This video is very helpful and I struggle with determining the amount of Detergent I should use while washing. I also use washing soda as well. If u could help me that would be great. Thanks for the video!
Hi! Love love your videos! I got the La Mere bag and pack it really similar to you because of your video so I feel really confident going out with my newborn so THANK YOU! I wanted to ask if you use any diaper liners for your cloth diapers and if so which ones. In a couple of months (probably) we’re going to start solids and I want to be prepared. We don’t have the option of installing bidet/spray bucket so I’m trying to find other solutions. Thanks so much for your videos and your time!
Yay! Super appreciate this!! - just started cloth diapering my almost 6 month old! Thank you for all your tips 😍 I was looking at some Nora’s Nursery ones and hoping they lasted long!
Wow this is so helpful! Short, sweet and to the point. Thinking about starting my cloth diaper my nine month old. So many other cloth diapering videos are really just too much information and confusing. Thank you!
Is it okay to leave them in soapy water for 3 to 4 hours ? As i am washing them everyday . They just wait for me until i get time to wash ! Please let me knoe is it okay to leave them in water ?
If you don't put the insert inside the pocket you can just change the insert. If you put it in the pocket you have to change the whole thing. You just can't put microfiber inserts direct on baby's bum, only natural fibers
do you rinse the cloth diapers right after a change each time or do you do all of them at the same time and they stay dirty for a couple days before rinsing??
If there's poop we try to spray it off the same day! Not always immediately, but usually we don't let it sit overnight. There are times we forget or don't get around to it and it's not a huge deal. I don't spray pee diapers at all before washing.

@@bvbArmyforever2013 the rises coordinate roughly with the baby’s weight. 8-15, 15-25, 25-35. Exactly, biodegradable in the landfill does not mean it can be flushed. I used to flush tampies and tushy wipes until I had to call in a plumber because my kitchen sink and laundry sink were having issues. He really frankly told me that flushable anything, other than bodily waste and tp is a marketing gimmick and NOT a real thing. Literally begged me never to do it again and to tell my friends. Vinegar repels water so liner doesn't absorb properly. This creates leaking.
