  • This is Part 2 of a three part series! In an awesome Spring river trip with Ron from Hook'd on Smallmouth Bass, we hit the river on a kayak mission for some Pre/Post-spawn Smallmouth Bass fishing. Once we found a pattern, the fishing was busy and absolutely spectacular!!! Par for the course, the ned rig played a HUGE role in our success.

      I'll make it a point to do a video tour of Ron's yak with him. He's done a BUNCH of great mods and it would definitely be worth the watch.

    What bait are you using and whats that teick your buddy is talking about you showed him lol

    • @BarryP
      @BarryP  6 месяцев назад +1

      Most of the success came from the Z-Man Big TRD with a 1/16oz Mule Fishing jig head (color doesn't matter a whole lot, but I err toward "coppertreuse", as it's both bright and dark and suitable in all conditions) . I'm not sure what you mean by "teick".

      @@Jeremy-ts9pt That was actually the dude that we ran into that suggested Ron use a chatterbait. Ron was fishing a chatterbait, on that fish... but it turned out to not be as effective as the slow-falling Ned.

    Potomac is fishing great too. Hell could probably use a little bit more water. Fish are AGGRESSIVE right now, clear water can be a gift and a curse.

      Ron (the dude in this vid) and I went out a few days ago and it was SLOW. A few awesome surprises hit toward the end of the float, though.
