  • The music of Cambodia is derived from a mesh of cultural traditions dating back to the ancient Khmer Empire, India, China and the original indigenous tribes living in the area before the arrival of Indian and Chinese travelers.
    It is a "Cambodian art music", a form often linked to religious dances staged by ancient stories and myths. it is also the type of music that we find in the domain of the sacred and of meditation.

    Very beautiful music that can be heard in the alleys around the temples. Street musicians play this type of music to introduce tourists to it.
    Cambodian music uses a range of instruments, encompassing Buffalo horns, pipes, flutes, oboes, fiddles, dulcimers, zithers, lutes, xylophones, gongs, cymbals, and drums. All these traditional instruments make very particular ethnic musics, which can only be found in Cambodia.
    So it's a perfect background for have a deep meditation, or make yoga, sleep, work study ...
