Love this song! I met my wife at a Tesla concert in 2010 in Santa Cruz, CA. Literally walked through the crowd and caught eyes with her and we've been together ever since!
Must be something about Tesla being a rock band that’s not gender specific lol always ran into old, new gf’s at Tesla shows back in the day ..and usually reconnected 😬🤷🏼♂️
Thanks Carl. Getting the cadence right on this tune is challenging and fun. It's always enjoyable to work through a song with you! Rewind rewind rewind...I got it!! 💪🎸🎶🎵
Great song! Great lesson! Taught myself this one a year or so ago.. You are correct on that into... Lots of guitars going on.... You and I play it about the same..... Sounds great making all of those guitars into one. Keep rocking!
Thanks, Carl! Been following your channels for about two and a half years now. It's always a great feeling to see you've done a tutorial on a song I've wanted to learn!
That was the ultimate lesson Theres so much going on in that intro. This was A Really good breakdown. You are a fantastic instructor Very well done and explained You're awesome thank you.
Omg It's like you read my mind Carl! I literally heard this yesterday on the radio and said 🤔, I wonder if Carl has covered this one yet??? Lol... Thanks for all the awesome cover tutorials!!
I always heard a lot of similarity to Dee by Randy Rhoads. He dies use some of the same licks. Then I saw Frank play play it to Randy Rhoads mom. It was beautiful.
Fantastic lesson. always wanted to play this and now I got it down.Wish I had this 30 years ago when I started playing, would of saved a lot of cassette tape rewinding. Thank you.
Thank you Carl! First song I learned on acoustic. We bought the tab as soon as the album came out and spent days and days trying to get it right. Never got it perfect, but we were teenagers. And the girls L O V E D it.
Great lesson. Thanks for your time and effort put into this. Just a teenie weenie suggestion, your guitar don’t have fret marks of any kind and that’s extra hard for us beginners to ID the fret every time. It’ll be extra helpful for didactic purposes to use some marks in the guitar.. thanks
So rad! I have caught guitar picks from Frank Hannon at two different shows! I learned the solo a while back, but now SO excited to finally learn the rest of the song! Thank you!
Freaking wow! Talk about a blast from the past. I worked my butt off for two summers and what odd jobs I could do as a teenager just to buy a nylon stringed guitar because of this song. That was at that time my first complete set of guitars, and many hours learning this song and any and all Metallica songs that had an acoustic or clean sound. Good job by the way. Your channel was suggested to me and yeah, your a busy dude. You have a ton of songs I had forgotten about and it's a hell of a lot easier learning them this way.
This is such a good tutorial. I remember this intro back from when I started playing guitar. Not to the level that you play it but it still sounds decent. when it starts into the strumming of the chords I had it a little messed up. I thought I was just visiting to catch the lick on the D chord but oh man there is so much more. I'll be throwing this tutorial into my current practice routine. Great stuff!
Why aren’t you in a band again? This is the best guitar tutorial I’ve ever seen and it’s about a song I love trying to learn the whole thing on guitar by my favorite band TESLA!
Knew people who used to hang out with the band, the bassist in the band always likes to jam with people even if they don't have any experience with an instrument, all out good people.
Thank you for the lesson on this great song! Some suggestions for what to do next: Straight Through the Heart, Dio, Lady Strange, Def Leppard, or Kiss of Death, Dokken. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Great song - awesome to see some Tesla and Carl on the LP !! What pick ups have you put in ?? Hopefully more Tesla and be great to have some LA Guns lessons. Very few on RUclips. 🔥
That randy rhoads fill has been used in so many songs...this one, crazy train, dee, deep, wolf and man. But it's cool lil run when used in the right spot.
@@reyesseyer8068 Starts about :50 secs in. The fill is right after the short pause and is pull-offs off the 4-2-0 frets. This is basically the same as RR just a variation of it. On Crazy Train its frets 4-2-0 1 time each starting on the 3rd string and repeat once on each strings 3 thru 5. Of wolf and man does this exact same fill except they repeat it twice on each string...same strings. RR also does it on Dee. Sorry I dont know how to time stamp. RR also has a similar run in the first min of I dont know, similar style that is, not exact.
Great lesson. Could you maybe do Gimme Three Steps by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I know there are a ton of vids on youtube that play it but they are either the lead part or not right. I need the whole song. Well honestly what I need is the rhythm and all that. The chorus and bridge and stuff. Just not the lead parts. The lead parts are everywhere.
I was wondering if I could ask you to do this lesson last weekend but I never get a response back from you in the past so I said no he want. Lol TroyFrost/Troyster 😎 cool riffs cool 🎸🤘🤘🤘

Must be something about Tesla being a rock band that’s not gender specific lol always ran into old, new gf’s at Tesla shows back in the day ..and usually reconnected 😬🤷🏼♂️
This was one of the first songs I ever learnt to play on guitar. 3 decades later it’s still my default song when I’m trying out new guitars 😁
Thanks Carl. Getting the cadence right on this tune is challenging and fun. It's always enjoyable to work through a song with you!
Rewind rewind rewind...I got it!!

He also plays a Les Paul on his Cinderella "Nobody's Fool" lesson 👍

Yes! There are no tutorials for it and I hate learning by ear lol

Good stuff, would enjoy some more Tesla. Thanks Carl. The GL365 Academy is the stuff 🤘
Thanks, Carl! Been following your channels for about two and a half years now. It's always a great feeling to see you've done a tutorial on a song I've wanted to learn!

Such a beautiful song. Great choice Carl 👍 More Tesla in the Future would be Kool. Frank's Solo is killer 🎸
Never seen a lesson on this song that had every single part, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the outro solo taught. Incredible.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL playing Carl......JUST as good as Frank Hannon.....WOWZA
I always heard a lot of similarity to Dee by Randy Rhoads. He dies use some of the same licks. Then I saw Frank play play it to Randy Rhoads mom. It was beautiful.

I learned this song decades ago, along with When the Children Cry by White Lion for a girl who wanted to sing them at a show.
Thank you Carl! First song I learned on acoustic. We bought the tab as soon as the album came out and spent days and days trying to get it right. Never got it perfect, but we were teenagers. And the girls L O V E D it.
I'll never complain about more Tesla. It would be awesome to see some love for XYZ and Great White though. They always get overlooked.
Absolutely awesome. Well played. Thank you for sharing. Time to crank up the gain and volume.
Great lesson. Thanks for your time and effort put into this. Just a teenie weenie suggestion, your guitar don’t have fret marks of any kind and that’s extra hard for us beginners to ID the fret every time. It’ll be extra helpful for didactic purposes to use some marks in the guitar.. thanks

This is such a good tutorial. I remember this intro back from when I started playing guitar. Hey can you time stamp the fill for me? I'm a big RR fan and want to see what you're talking about
