@eden20111 Nope....the actor's name is Mick Wingart. I think he's voiced Tony Stark for at least one Avengers cartoon. He does an excellent job, though his voice is a little higher and more nasal than RDJ's.
Remember Korg's "Ok, now we look cool" from an earlier episode? He called out a similar cliché thing in this episode. "Thank you for indugling me guys. I've always wanted to walk *very* slowly."
Also, Tony mentions “demon in a bottle” when at the bar with valkyrie, this could be calling back to the comic run “Demon In a Bottle” in which Tony Stark battled alcoholism
I thought Tony could call his armor because he has the bracelet that was previously used to summon his armor when Loki threw him out of Avengers tower during the first Avengers movie.
The Grandmaster as he says melting is a callback to Grandmaster melting one of his victims in Thor: Ragnarök. Literally you have Death Race moments with cars crashing, drivers driving. You get Demon in a Bottle storyline reference by Tony Stark. They are also paying homage to Jack Kirby's art with some of the characters Korg beats senselessly.
LETS GO!!!!!! Just finished the episode, and so glad Tony here is alive and well in this universe, and the callbacks/references are great. We need to see more of him in this universe.
7:07 Knew it wasn’t going to be Hulk (like you said, it wouldn’t match with the timeline), but, at the time of watching, for the briefest of moments, a part of me was hoping it was going to be “Doug” who was brought up by Korg in Thor: Ragnarok. 😂
3:14 This is also a crazy accidental reference to Jeff Goldblum playing the Wizard of Oz in the upcoming Wicked movies! Which is insane since this episode would have been made long before that casting was even announced!
*7:24** Interestingly you are wrong. There’s a scene in avengers where he puts on the bracelets and that’s how Jarvis can track him when he jumps out the window to get away from Loki. The 42 armor In 3 doesn’t need bracelets and can be put on anyone.*
Awesome Video!!! I LOVED THIS EPISODE SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! It was so Awesome and It was nice to see what happened with Gamora Thanos from The First Season and Tony Sark was awesome He literally turned His Suit into a Race Car. The Last Episode was still My Favorite, But This One was Great too! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!!!!!!
Korg being on sakaar in 2012 in this episode and on Xandar in episode 1 (s2) in like 2015 or 16, and then being found back on Sakaar implies he got off Sakaar, went to Xandar then got sent back within the span of a decade and Im here for it lol
one thing I noticed is why was tony not unconscious in the beginning? in the avengers movie his suit wasn't made for space and so he had got knocked unconscious while he was in the other side of the portal.
@@ColorMeConfused29 even still the reason he was knocked out was because his suit wasn’t designed for space so he would have died. Also you saw what it took to wake him up in the movie as well.
What If Season 2 has been Marvelous! Probably my favourite episode.... God, every episodd is amaIng, be it 80's avengers, nebula one, hulk hogan, or this... This series and Loki are peak marvel
*I was waiting for Tony to start flirting with Korg’s mom, and then Tony expecting a bunch of backup for fight for power. But then we find out korg hand made the flyers so there were only 17 and he only had enough time to hand out 5.*
But what about the infinite crusher? Season 1 episode 9 made it seem like they had used the infinite crusher to destroy the stones and defeated thanos that way, but we see nothing about the infinite crusher here.
This is literally what I was thinking, I know it's implied some more time has passed and then they destroy the stones with the crusher and destroy the gauntlet on Nidavellir and it's at that moment that the watcher recruits gamora. But we really should have seen that
also noting that Tony landed on a planet with tons of scrap. in which is kinda his playground because we all know that he made an arc reactor and a suit, in a cave, with a box of scraps 😂
the voice actor for tony has rdj's intonation absolutely DOWN and it's so awesome
Wtf that wasn’t rdj???
@eden20111 Nope....the actor's name is Mick Wingart. I think he's voiced Tony Stark for at least one Avengers cartoon. He does an excellent job, though his voice is a little higher and more nasal than RDJ's.
I thought it was really RDJ until right now
"Why is it all sticky?" believe has to do with the pink goo he was stuck in earlier in the episode. Like the residue was still there.
No it's a call back to Thor Ragnarok, Grandmaster does something with his left hand which makes it sticky💀i think you got it
Remember Korg's "Ok, now we look cool" from an earlier episode?
He called out a similar cliché thing in this episode. "Thank you for indugling me guys. I've always wanted to walk *very* slowly."

Could sworn that reference would have made top3 in comic lore
Oh yeah!
This was one of the best What If stories mostly because we got A1 Tony Stark and I love him.
Yeah it was so good seeing him again ❤
What’s A1?….
@@eden20111 avengers 1 😅
@@Gentle.Snow. oh I thought you meant A1 sauce Tony Stark
I thought Tony could call his armor because he has the bracelet that was previously used to summon his armor when Loki threw him out of Avengers tower during the first Avengers movie.
Yuuup
Different universe
Yeah, with how much research goes into these videos I’m surprised they didn’t catch that.
@@charlesiverson1769well then it’s not much research
Didn't that suit call down the entire suit at once, not piece by piece, or am I misremembering?

You get Demon in a Bottle storyline reference by Tony Stark. They are also paying homage to Jack Kirby's art with some of the characters Korg beats senselessly.
Also the way he says I'm melting is the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz.
Yeah I also noticed the Demon in a Bottle reference. Best one imo
@@marvelcomicsgeek1979 I understood reference
Also Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Not everything is a reference or callback. It's "literally" what happens to everyone when that rod is used. It's cause and effect.
Never thought we would get a Tony! Toni! Tone! reference in the MCU but we got it.
LETS GO!!!!!!
Just finished the episode, and so glad Tony here is alive and well in this universe, and the callbacks/references are great.
We need to see more of him in this universe.
Im pretty curious where his storyline goes from there since he doesn’t have to die killing thanos
Tony was "road kill" in the first season... Where it seems like Stark dying was a given inoat timelines
7:07 Knew it wasn’t going to be Hulk (like you said, it wouldn’t match with the timeline), but, at the time of watching, for the briefest of moments, a part of me was hoping it was going to be “Doug” who was brought up by Korg in Thor: Ragnarok. 😂
"Doug's deed"
I love how Lego teased the car transformation a while back in the tie-in Lego set for this episode
🤓
3:14 This is also a crazy accidental reference to Jeff Goldblum playing the Wizard of Oz in the upcoming Wicked movies! Which is insane since this episode would have been made long before that casting was even announced!
Yeah, I wanna know if that line was written before or after Jeff Goldblum got that part.
The contrast of Topaz and the Grandmaster will always be hilarious 😂
At least the Grandmaster won't need to be moisturized. 😂
Cassandra and him would definitely be BFFS
Celestial Hot Wheels track is a great idea
Some of y'all might feel the race was definitely Mad Max but for me this was definitely reminiscent to Spy Kids 3. But damn I love this episode!!!
I saw it more as a death race nod
Yessssss i thought spy kids 3 as well!!!
Wacky Races.
Speed racer for me
I love this bcoz its just like Spy kids 3 😂
This was the best episode of the season so far had phatom menace vibe with the race with some death race awesome.
Twisted Metal
*7:24** Interestingly you are wrong. There’s a scene in avengers where he puts on the bracelets and that’s how Jarvis can track him when he jumps out the window to get away from Loki. The 42 armor In 3 doesn’t need bracelets and can be put on anyone.*
I think the inconsistency is in that it comes on piece by piece and not remotely as the only 2 times we see him put on the mk 7 it is as one unit
In my opinion I think Jeff had wayy too much fun with the voice acting in this episode, he just sounds like such a delight
When the grand master said bring a bucket and a mop, WAP was the first thing that came to mind 😂
So you just gonna skip the Easter egg when Tony tells Valkyrie to not chase that Demon in a Bottle
This is the third episode of What If…? Tony’s survived 🎉
Alexa, play "I Am Here" by P!nk
Lmaoo..it's funny how The Grandmaster shimmy his shoulders @7:24..juss funny..cuz he does that in Rqgnarok..lmaooo
Korg killed me this episode 😂it's one of those changes I genuinely like but maybe that's because it isn't really planet hulk Korg
10:26 I was thinking about Spy Kids 3 for some reasons 😂
The way the Grandmaster did a Wizard of Oz witch melting scene😂
THANKS so much, particularly for the Tony! Toni! Toné! reference!!! And Happy Holidays!!!!
I loved the change in this universe being that 2012 Tony not making it back 👏🏾
Having more experience with college parties than the type the Grand Master would have, I just assumed Tony's suit was sticky from spilled drinks.
Best episode of the season by far. I hope we see more of this universe.
Cool
I think 80s Avengers was the best episode so far
absolutely tripping dawg the first 2 sleeeeeeeep this one.
"Slap me and call me Spartacus." Clearly a Blankman reference.
I am Spartacus.
My most favourite what if episode so far
4:10 "Dollies and Clydes" is a reference to Bonnie and Clyde, the infamous criminal couple from the 1930's.
Exactly
This was easily one of my most favorite episodes of anything Marvel in 2023.
10:26 could the gundam looking thing be a Galactus reference, the big takeaway is the horns
Good episodes lately. 🙂
10:38 - Reminded me of that 1 scene in Spy Kids 2 with Juni and his grandpa during their race
Boom Boom 🎉🎉🎉
The mario kart reference was pretty cool
It was when tony slide and got a boost at the final race against the grand master
Awesome Video!!! I LOVED THIS EPISODE SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

The First Season and Tony Sark was awesome He literally turned His Suit
into a Race Car. The Last Episode was still My Favorite, But This One was Great too!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!!!!!!
The race in this episode reminded me of the racing level in Spy Kids 3. I don't know if that's just me
Another fun Easter egg: Jeff Goldblum is ACTUALLY the Wizard in the upcoming Wicked movie! 3:14
9:15 The "Jeffrey" could also refer to Jeff the Land Shark which would tie in Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone.
at 10:26 that thing that they came out off kind of looks like galactus
Dollies and Clydes could also be Cockney rhyming slang for "Rides"
This episode is my favourite episode so far of What If season 2. I enjoyed this one so much. Glad to see Tony Stark again.
1:33 why does the chitauri ship looks like word DC (which has anyway blown up in year 2023 )😂
Breaking down one episode a day during the holiday season, this is impressive. Great work
3:28 this is purely to justify that random birthday song in Ragnarok 😅
Tony Stark was soooo cool in the whole episode 😭😭
That moment when the racers enter the underground tunnel gave me major AcceleRacers flashbacks 😂
Tony's suit turning into a race car was bad ass!
Korg being on sakaar in 2012 in this episode and on Xandar in episode 1 (s2) in like 2015 or 16, and then being found back on Sakaar implies he got off Sakaar, went to Xandar then got sent back within the span of a decade and Im here for it lol
The races really reminded my of Redline (2009)
As someone who watches the Vtuber Snuffy I was dying of laughter when Jessica said "Dont search that up on your work computer"
10:55 Are you gonna say why God destroyed Gomorrah? Also, Did you really compared God to Thanos?
Talk about to kill a moking bird reference
Wrong suit reference. This is Avengers 1 tech. Same bracelet that lets him put on the suit while falling from Avengers Tower
I was waiting for a reference to "Danger Will Robinson"
one thing I noticed is why was tony not unconscious in the beginning? in the avengers movie his suit wasn't made for space and so he had got knocked unconscious while he was in the other side of the portal.
adrenaline
@@LineOfThy then why did he end up unconscious at all in the movie?

The race and race cars are way too reminiscent of Spy Kids 3 to be a coincidence. That has to be at least a small reference.
this was the best episode of the season
Thanks Jessica!
no spoonge bob ref at the end lol

Spy Kids: Game Over. Anyone? 10:29
I thing "mojo" is just a reference to Ironman's style and swagger. Like Austin Powers lost his mojo and couldn't bone.
Someone HAS to say it: this felt like the Spy Kids 3D race HARDCORE
The race gives me a Mad Max/ Death Race 2000 vibe.
The elephant champion is on the grandmasters tower in ragnarock
I think the drop from the mech thing might have been a reference to spy kids 3
This episode was planed when the Lego what if hulk buster set came out
10:27 anyone else think that its obvs a Celestial or galactus?
Formula One ? I Thought He Called It Intergalactic NASCAR
Merry Christmas
Love the Lost refernces
Melting the Infinity Guantlet was a T2 reference
Leeroy Jenkins😂😂😂 well played Jessica🤝🏼😭
That is not a “Gundam looking thing”, it is an effigy of Galactus.
how do you know?
Because it look likes Galactus -_- and gundam doesn’t even look anything like that
@@phantomkitsune7415yea your right.
the wizard of oz refernce ties in because jeff golbloom is playing the wizard of oz in the wicked movie

The race reminds me of speed racer so much. Love it!!
"hot wheels track" ? IT'S MARIO KART WITH GUNS.
1:22 where was this?
If nobody remember but I think the race scene reminds of spy kids 3 race scene
Wow no shout out to Spy Kids 3D during the racing scene.
Anyone notice that Tony’s eyes are blue in this episode as opposed to brown as they are in real life
There's A LOT from speed racer, as well.
And the inside of the tunnel was very reminiscent of TRON.
This whole episode gave me Spy Kids 3D! I swear some of the cats were the same

Whaaaaaaaat! That wasn’t RDJ voicing Ironman! 😱 haha did not no that lol
I also literally typed out Tony Downey Jr. at first 🤦🏻♂️😂
Surprised you guys didn't bring up the very dark Demon in a Bottle reference.
