There is also a website called spoon flower where textile designers put up their prints and you can have the design printed on the fabric of choice. A Brother sewing machine is under 300.00. And lots of free patterns out there as well. I really like what Karen has created here.

I also buy kimonos and long flowy things. I hate my arms. I wear black always do it’s fun to pop on a colorful kimono to brighten things up a bit. I sort of have uniform look. Hugs xoxo
Those rhinestone glasses are a dupe for a pair by Gucci. Last summer I bought a zebra print pair of Gucci cat eyes with the rhinestones on the arms. The really are a statement! The full rhinestone pair were well out of my budget.

You know Karen, I have realized something about watching your videos. I started thinking along these lines after you discussed the guilt people want to lay at your feet for buying luxury (which is disgraceful) and after your more in depth video. I love nice things but could never be a major buyer of luxury items. It's true that I couldn't easily afford it. These things are relative of course; I can afford nice things that I decide I want but not _this level_ of luxury. However, I do thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. First, I think you are a lovely woman with stunning style and a fun charismatic personality. I also enjoy seeing you purchase and enjoy exceptional pieces. I have felt many things while watching you. Occasional envy - I'm not prone to jealousy but of course there is an occasional *_dammit, I would love that_* But I can feel that without *any* need to direct some ire at someone. I have also felt my notions of ... excess come into play in knowing that even if I were able to financially, I likely wouldn't ever be a collector of this level of luxury. But here's the thing... maybe it's a bit of unnecessary excess *FOR ME* . For someone else...for you, it is an important expression of your style. It also clearly gives you joy. *THAT* is what we all should be interested in while maintaining the ability to realize that we are all going to get there in different ways. I always pickup a j.crew linen blazer and a linen button down shirt every summer. That Irish linen is the best. They have several colors so I’m making my way through the color line. They are a quality classic piece that will never go out of style. And the colors are gorgeous.
I thrifted a j crew wool mix blazer this winter. I googled the price and turns out is is quite expensive (we don't have jcrew whete i live). Now it is a winter staple

Yes, I don’t just have seasonal go to items, but I try and buy things that I can wear in every season. Although sweaters are my favorite. I love when I know I’m going to work with someone that loves the air conditioner really cold… I wear my favorite sweater that day. Lol!!

Lately I’ve been buying a new pair of Birkenstocks or two or three. Grey nubuck Mayari arrived today. Same in lavender, and hot pink suede Gizehs. I am also starting to buy a new breezy dress each summer, this year from Sea. Love espadrilles as well. Bought Vince black suede wedges this summer.
