I genuinely think enduring spirit sucks. The healing is so garbage earlygame. Melee lifesteal and resto shot are significantly better healing. Try going into sandbox and actually test how much enduring spirit heals you with all your abilities.
So something about headshot booster that is absolutely worth mentioning. Shotguns love headshot booster, because it multiplies the nearly guaranteed headshot on center mass at ~20 meters. I think using Geist to demonstrate this is counter to the items best purchase especially at average skill level.
@DerfyRed it makes EVERYONE's headshots hit very hard, and arguably she is the hardest character to hit it with as she has the lowest bullets per second of any character
Totally agree with Escalating Res. Insane item. If you have full auto weapons and an enemy full auto hero is a problem, it's absolutely insane value. Also, Toxic Bullets + Infernus Afterburn feels almost gamebreaking levels of op to me. If you double ignite someone with maxed out afterburn + toxic bullets + Soul shredder bullets and then just stop shooting them, it will generally do around 33%+ in dots.
Thanks man, super helpful! Helped me take a look again at some items that'd be good for Paradox. I'm already kicking ass with the build I had made so, I cant wait!
I absolutely love playing with McGinnis, Vindicta, and Seven. Recently I thought of trying a new agent, Ivy. I think she's the most fascinating character of this game with the amount of variety she has. I chose to go full support Ivy. Buffing, debuffing, healing, and a bit of melee and tankiness I figured out half of these underrated items myself others weren't using just because of the "tier". I thank you for this video. I watched it twice. It's so useful. I got Ivy to a degree where I am basically immortal WITHOUT using any armors. The one with the bleed was the answer to most of my questions and mental disorder against Abbrams and Shiv, thanks! :) Also, I am not sure whether you would agree or not, but I prefer Enduring Spirit over Spirit Lifesteal because of the spirit power. You do get about the same amount of hp, only 17 less which you can makeup with breaking the pots or whatever it's called. Yes, you do get 15% less spirit lifesteal but to be completely honest, that ability doesn't scale all too well, for me, later on in the game to the point you'll replace it with for example leech. May as well go enduring spirit for the spirit power which is useful to the abilities and save some souls for a different ability.
Great video thanks, would be helpful when you talk/show items you can hover over the tooltip for 1-2 seconds so it gives enough time to pause video and read it without having to pixel perfect pause it.
I love getting Majestic Leap on Dynamo and countering either Vindicta/Grey Talon players, or other Majestic Leap users like Lash, Bebop, Pocket while they're midair and pull them down with me using Singularity. Might not be necessary sometimes but definitely very flashy :D Also much more mobility between lanes instead of Warp Stone, but that one is good on its own when escaping
people gotta check their incoming damage more, pretty often troopers make up a large portion of it if you are aggressive. The tower especially deals TONS of damage, and monster rounds helps mitigate any mistakes when you take tower aggro.
I've been building toxic bullets on Haze a bit recently as there is just so much healing and tankiness in the game. Obviously Haze's gun item slots are very valuable and you want Burst Fire, Ricochet, Crippling Headshot (because it feels like half the items in the game give you bullet resist, so the entire enemy team all has 50% bullet resist by 20 mins) and Lucky Shot to proc her passive more often. Toxic bullets is still worth to get in my opinion for the healing reduction and %HP spirit damage so you can actually kill people. Also, does anybody have advice for Haze? I'm in decently high MMR now and when I get fed the entire enemy team buys metal skin, return fire, and curse just to fuck me over. Her ult genuinely feels useless at a certain point and I often find myself having to cancel it early because most people have brains in my matches now and they just pop metal skin, dash out of my ult and stun me after unstoppable ends.
Thank you for the insane depth + insight of your view on this game. Also a very nice voice to listen to:) keep it up. I wish I could see you play: where do I have to go?
You should test out your claim about Inhibitor slowing "cross map". I'm 99% certain that the Debuff Duration down-scales with distance, meaning that at some point, you're still slowing them for 25%, but only for 0.001 seconds. So if you can't continously hit them, it's useless. Also, you make it seem like Mystic Reverb gives +40% ability damage, but it rather does 40% of that damage to enemies around it. So in a 1v1, the 40% damage does nothing. But if the entire is within that radius, an ability that does 100 damage would do 200 damage to the rest of the team (spread out, i.e. 40% of 100 to 5 players).
Mystic Reverb is kinda weird because if you hit multiple targets it hits the closest one, so if on, say, Lash you hit 4000 HP Abrams and 2000 HP Haze, and Abrams was closer, Haze just runs off and you really wanna burst her. I'd rather get Improved Burst that works on every target hit with a separate cooldown on each target. But I'd argue that for 1v1's high-burst abilities like Lash Ground Strike and Yamato Power Slash you should get Mystic Reverb instead of Improved Burst, up until a certain amount of enemy HP it scales much better, the stats it gives are insane too.
Edit: It seems Escalating Resilience doesn’t have the fire rate scaling that other on-hit effects have, my mistake. It's important to consider that the amount of bullet resist gained per stack for Escalating Resilience is dependent on your base fire rate, so heroes with less fire rate will get more bullet resist per stack. In other words, even heroes with low fire rates can benefit from that item.
@@saquial idk if the thing you said is true for Escalating Resilience but it is true for Toxic Bullets, the build up gets higher if your hero's fire rate is low
It has a cooldown and only procs once the cooldown is over and does only 40% of a single tick of damage. It's worth buying on high single damage abilities as it's a 40% multiplicative damage burst, you can think of it as a third upgrade to mystic burst. If you're buying it on high hit-rate low damage abilities it's because of the utility of the slow and also it's base stats, it in-fact does NOT proc on every tick only on the first one every time it's off cooldown.
U didn’t talk about melee items, the melee item set lets you deal ridiculous amount of damage for how cheap it is, it makes anyone w a guaranteed stun become a melee character and do the damage for half the cost
Debuff Remover is underpowered. To purge once every 48 seconds with no additional survivability is not enough. In DOTA we have BKB, item fully purges you, gives 60% mag.res and gives debuff immunity. It's arguable which game have more and stronger debuffs, but the fact that in DOTA even this item is not enough, with overall less item slots say's it all for me. All though i see the vision of this game and it's items i think this item needs something more. Nothing crazy, let's say just 2-4 seconds of debuff immunity after use and maybe ~55CD
